I don't think he's trying to get it nerfed. He's saying it doesn't lose all their momentum just because your target moves away- you can easily chase them. Unless it's in an enemy city then you prob gon' hit totems at some point. Or get picked off.
Distort's a room hinder, so everything that hits piety will hit distort. Preempt follows everything that isn't fly, doesn't move more than one room (gallop/dash/sprint) and doesn't make you hit a wall (pretty sure it doesn't bypass walls.. never actually tested that one part)
I vaguely recall that it bypassed walls when I was originally testing it, but I don't know if I'm misremembering or if that's been changed.
Ashtan is slowly growing on me! At first, it was hard to become included in things. But now, I’m really starting be more involved with everything from sailing to raiding. Which has totally made a huge difference in the experience in the city. You guys are awesome.
Give us -real- shop logs! Not another misinterpretation of features we ask for, turned into something that either doesn't help at all, or doesn't remotely resemble what we wanted to begin with.
Thanks!

Vhaynna: "Honest question - if you don't like Achaea or the current admin, why do you even bother playing?"
A great roar of triumph echoes across the landscape of the Fire Plane as Solnir
is bestowed a tithe of Kkractle's power.
ETA: Stupid amounts of work put into this, was going for a 100% solo run as a non-dragon.. not quite able, but had a lot of help from citymates, city enemies, and Ictinus, as is obvious by my multiple raves for him. Thank you all. I must now sleep for a few years.
My faith in the admin is somewhat restored in light of the recent announce. Well done, guys.

Guys! I died to him 9 times before I got it finally, but!

Going to echo Reyson, that was definitely a fun little engagement. Tell amil to not run face first in and insta-deliv, you want to catch them off guard so usually you start a combo or something to get them queuing things then deliv! BANG, everyone dies.
I've been having an absolute blast with @Klendathu, @Penwize, and @Zulah lately. Even when a lot of the time it's just regular stuff, the regular interactions have been so fun and engaging, and I'm really looking forward to the future with you guys.
I participated in my third Crusade and actually got a fair amount of essence gathered, even if that essence belonged to Vastar. From never having actually gathered essence in a Crusade, picking up 15 shards was pretty awesome. I really love Crusades but not so much the roflstomping. I walked into the one today, twice ran into a massive group of Mhaldorians, and walked right back out again.
There have been some incredibly late nights with @Dunn recently and there has been so much laughter involved. I'm ridiculously excited about RP stuff but I'm also ready to dip my toes in the combat pool again. It's slow steps but those steps are happening. I really love the support and encouragement and patience. Combat isn't my thing but you're always willing to help me learn when I show interest, and always happy to include me in things.
No words for @Vastar but so much I'm trying to do as much as possible while I'm on annual leave but after next week, I am back at work and my playing time will get massively reduced. There has been so much fun stuff going on and I'm trying not to stress about what I will be missing out on in future.
For a long time, I've been chewing my lip and pondering what to do next. I've been doing things but I've felt incredibly restless despite that because it just felt like going through the motions. Which is fine, I enjoy doing things and being active. Now though? I'm getting those brilliant ideas again, I want to plan for things, I'm trying to figure things out, and the creative juices are flowing so hard. Everything is on such a grand scale and the possibilities alone are exciting.

It's been forever and a year since I have written a rave and with my recent retirement (due to life - I'M GETTING MARRIED AHHHHHH!!!) I thought I would thank people for making these two years playing this character an enjoyable time. It's been a blast starting off on the "Good" side and moving on to Merchants and then ultimately spending my last year in Mhaldor. All of the battles, experiences, relationships, etc was a joy and speaks well of the Achaean community and the admin.
I most especially want to thank Sartan and Mhaldor for making my entire year incredible. Never once could I imagine myself becoming dragon or even a leader in a city, but you all were supportive and I hope all of the newer players appreciate what you guys do.
I'm not going to try to list names (cause I KNOW I'll forget one and someone will come knocking on my door upset :_:) but y'all know who you are and you're the best!

Who told you you could retire
(In all honesty though, glad you had fun, and hope you have loads of fun with that weird thing you call 'life' that isn't achaea)
With this year off to a bright start, I want to acknowledge all the good that came with last year. Achaea is my first MUD and I've only played a few months, but I've gotten to know some unforgettable faces.
@Shayde, you were a shining light in Mhaldor and an angel to our newbies. We'll miss you! @Krysanth, you're super bubbly and fun to work with. @Jurixe, you encourage me to be and do more. You're the writer I wish I was. @Crixos, for being a grumpy old lizard and a low-key conversationalist. And for looking out for me in combat. @Reyson, for taking the concept of a "dark knight" and turning it on its head. And for my gifts! You're a pleasure to have around. @Melodie, you're a great friend, listener, and storyteller. Let's go trick-or-treating again. @Cresil, come back and I'll tell you. @Aegoth, for dragging me through the wilderness in your determination to get me dragon. And for helping me get my (non-dragon) wings! And for cheerleading my crazy ritualism. @Ysela, for all your support and thoughtfulness. I can't wait for us to do more together. Bigger, more Evil! @Ailea, for all your support and your handsome gift. @Minifie, for getting me my dirk and always being insufferably friendly. @Trey, for my taper and all the flirting we do in phase. @Calira, for the witty banter and your patience when I can't banter at all. @Zackery, for being a beacon of scholarly enthusiasm and constantly making me laugh groan. @Kiet, I couldn't have asked for a better mentor or a better friend. The time you spent with me in the beginning, carving out the world and the precepts of Evil, shaped who Stheno is today. I'm grateful for everything you do. @Mariya, you were a wonderful Insid'atori. @Alrena, you're a gem.
Reaching down with a massive hand, Sartan lifts your head and draws a taloned finger across your throat, the wound closing as He does so.
Slowly and surely I've been sticking a toe into combat. Big raves to @Dunn earlier giving me some advice so I'm not flailing around as much. I'm not anywhere near killing him yet but I saw a little improvement and that's exciting in itself. I had a fun fight with @Dochitha earlier and some of my annwyn experiences have been a blast. A rave for people in Mhaldor who poke me when I'm making minerals to come join raids to give me a breather from being the alchemy slave. Combat has been hard but I really appreciate how everyone shares information and is just looking to make everyone better for more fun fights.
Today was hilarious and more importantly, IC life changing.
After asking multiple people what they thought of when they heard the phrase, I'm pretty sure we're going to be laughing for days to come whenever we see his name haha.
