This is a little late in coming but raves to @Skye for providing all the food and recommending/providing a few of the drinks for Austere's birthday party. Loved everything about it. Next time though, I need to get the brownies. My bad.
That ale was fine, but the rum was ridiculous.
- (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place." - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely." - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")." - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish." - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."

What birthday party? I woke up with a splitting headache, half-naked, covered in pie.
Proud of your D-bomb @Divada. Saw it come down and was like "ooooooh that's gonna get most of-- yep, there goes three people".
First proper raid I'd been in for a long while and it was a bunch of fun all around. Hashan's pretty great to scrum with - hope the feeling's mutual!
I almost shat myself when I logged in and saw Daeir raiding.

As long as you guys promise that Slith is just an honours mob now that we can all go get our revenge on then I'm cool. The event was awesome. Thank you for splitting us up to lower the spam too.

I want catacombs and labyrinths in the underworld! Full of nasties and secrets and quests and tricksy (hobbitses) vampireses that make your toes curl and make you shout with joy when you figure out the convoluted mess that only a truly sadistic hellspawn could have designed!
Raves to @Yzarin for being a good sport and not getting upset when a bunch of Targ's thought I was getting ganged by 3 Hashani and jumped in on our duel. Sorry again, but glad you didn't take it too hard!

I'm sure it isn't over...Tecton promised us a big Reckoning/Bal'met style war or series of battles in 2016 and I bet this has to be part of the setup to it.
Yeah, there's a good bit of time between now and the end of Mayan.
My "something is up" senses are tingling.
Edit: By the way, no one has, so I certainly will: The cubes that were snuck into our inventories at the end of the event are super duper neat. I really love the idea of storing memories of an important event in history like that. It's such a cool idea and translated really well.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
I don't know if this is the correct forum for this,
but I wanted to extend a thank you to basically everyone I've played
with; there are some excellent people who play this game and truly make
Achaea a game worth participating in. Tesha, Antonius, Dunn, Kross,
Saibel, Mithridates, Gibbi, and many others.
I played Achaea
previously, I think 10 years ago now!, but stopped because I was young,
stubborn, and stupid and brought upon myself a lot of unwanted attention
(while seeking attention... teenage me was super dumb). At the
time I didn't know what the term was, but now I know I had been doxxed
and no longer felt safe playing Achaea. I began playing a separate IRE
game and had what I felt was a pretty successful career there, but the
game's direction didn't leave much to be desired, the population had been steadily declining, I was upset by a 'big' decision and felt I had no reason to stay, and so I decided to try
out Achaea again but with a lot more caution than before. I am happy to
say that my experience was very different, everyone was friendly, and
it was very fun for me. Playing some puns on the forums has definitely
been a favorite highlight; somehow surviving Jarrod and Dunn in the "I
HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IM DOING" fiasco; moving from Mhaldor to Targossas and
the repercussions thereof, it's been a great experience and getting to
know people and even see how some older characters have changed has been
overwhelmingly positive.
But life calls, between work, school,
and the hours of practice it takes for my olympic lifting/crossfit
competitions, and other hobbies (like, cuddling my two cats and eating
whole pints of ice cream in one sitting), I've found that I don't have
the energy to continue a lasting relationship with Achaea... um... obviously because I've been dormant for like 2 years and some change now....
I try
drop in and say hey on occasion but it's at all hours usually. I hope
everyone is doing well! Thanks everyone for being awesome and a good
community. From what I read I think Achaea is going in a great
direction. I am excited for Starmourn as well and might check it out
when it's been a bit established! See you guys on the flip side.
But gosh darn
it, if there do exist some people who just can't handle the uniqueness
of your snowflake... - Mathonwy
@Jovie - You probably don't remember this, but when I was a newbie, you taught me a LOT about how to monk. Thanks for being awesome. It's good to hear that you have a lot of neat stuff going on IRL. Hopefully we'll see you around in Starmourn!

For your sake I hope that information was accurate... I had the WORST time understanding combat!!

So this particular rave is probably late in coming, but I go through phases where I avoid forums. I just want to thank my in game adopted sis, @Jadys and her husband @Austere, @Morthif and Shimi's text-fiance @Majin for being awesome and making the game more fun. Been working recently, but the fact you guys all made the decision and Morthif offered up his ship and then somehow appointed me Captain and we've taken on sea monster hunting has been a lot of fun! So far I'm the one who -usually dies. (All that hardcore captain down with her ship rp.) But I really love it and might never have gotten around to it without you all motivating me.
The shakes go away! In fact, I still get them, my heart still pumps fighting, group not so much, but dueling oh man!
a player kill in Achaea is by far one of the most satisfying experiences, like Call of Duty has nothing on it. Your system verse another player's and you've both spent RL YEARS building, tweaking, scrapping, remaking! OH THE HUMANITY!
Not to mention that the situations are SO DIVERSE! You can't expect really the same thing every time! It's dynamic!
I will say that I hate being ganked, but war is war, and that's awesome that it's a viable thing as it allows the full aspect of combat to be real. Hunting a player for a bounty is like, literally a lion stalking a gazelle, it's ridiculously awesome and awesome that people have made that thing as open as possible on a text game!
I had recently started to date a nice girl and she wanted to try achaea, and it totally made me remember JUST HOW FREAKING HARD the learning curve of this game is, I mean the poor girl just sits there hunting with decay the whole time (apo) and next thing I know she's level 50 with 100 credits and couldn't even respond to a tell! I had to teach her, it was kinda cute but you guys know me, it's annoying and I have a short temper, but I like her so I'm patient! In any consolation it made me a little more lax against other nubs, because truthfully it's a harddd game to play!
So the next time you're getting owned by someone, remember that literally 90% of the people in your life wouldn't be able to even hold the interest to make it as far as you did!
I just wanted to rave about @Kasa as the behind the scenes scripting/mudlet hero for a lot of people. I remember a year ago fighting tooth and nail not to leave Zmud because I did not want to learn mudlet. Slowly and surely he taught me how to make my first alias and now we're working on building a serious project together on piratepad.
I know he helps a ton of other people with their own mudlet/scripting struggles. So a huge rave to him for his endless patience and a big thanks when I know not enough comes at him for it.
Kasa is a huge part of why Hashan is doing so well lately, both in leadership and in teaching people. Guy spends hours in arena teaching people things. You guys should give him a raise!
