@Daeir I'm kiiiiiiiind of butt hurt I didn't get a thanks too. Don't you remember that one time in Annwyn when I let you have that stack of lions/wolves and the fairy knight? You're welcome! I saw your lightning lizard ass trudge by earlier and had a moment of squee for you. Congrats dude, but 91-99 in a week? Shit man, go take a shower!
Also I used to make jokes about getting Dragon before multiclass came out. So uhh, awkward.
Awwwwkwarrrd.
Sorry about that. Another project came up and took priority.
You see, it occured to us the other day that dragon is getting a bit over populated now, so we were brainstorming solutions the last week or two. I think we settled on raising dragon to 110. Once that goes in we'll be able to refocus our efforts on multiclass. Not to worry though, at least you get another minor trait slot at 100. That should tide you over.

Seems fair. +1
Tharos, the Announcer of Delos shouts, "It's near the end of the egghunt and I still haven't figured out how to pronounce Clean-dat-hoo."

- (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place." - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely." - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")." - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish." - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."
Full disclaimer: I was entirely prepared to dislike Mhaldor. I needed a switch up and had no patience (or money) to start up an alt, so when the opportunity arose, I said, "To hell with it," and made the jump, not really knowing what to expect.
Am loving it! Thanks to a variety of Mhaldorians, like @Ruth, @Melodie, and @Jurixe, but especially @Saeva and @Mathonwy, I'm finding myself driven to *do* things in Achaea in a way that I haven't felt in a long time. I will always love the time I spent in Cyrene, but it's nice to find purpose and passion again after playing the game for so long. So thank you, thank you, thank you.
"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to? You will never find that [everlasting] life for which you are looking. When the gods created man they allotted to him death, but life they retained in their own keeping. As for you, Gilgamesh, fill your belly with good things; day and night, night and day, dance and be merry, feast and rejoice. Let your clothes be fresh, bathe yourself in water, cherish the little child that holds your hand, and make your wife happy in your embrace; for this too is the lot of man."

Glad you're enjoying Mhaldor! It's great to have you, and you're a noticeable, and appreciated presence in the city. Keep doing your thing
A few short hours before the CTF I finally reached Dragon - something I have wanted since I first came to Achaea some.. I don't know, 13 or so years ago. Been a long strange trip. A lot of people have helped out in a variety of methods - @Melodie & @Skye went hunting for profithyst for me for the final stretch, @Herose gifted me another, @Proficy gave me a couple too. Many of the above also offered words of encouragement, along with @Medi, @Entaro, @Jarrod and @Saeva. No doubt there are others I will have missed in my addled state as I made the final push.
Still, it would be incredibly remiss of me not to mention @Taraus and her part in it all. We go back almost as long as I have played Achaea and when I returned recently she spent an inordinate amount of time helping me back on my feet. As I started to remember the basics and learn new ones (OMG WE CAN WALK TO STUFF) she prodded me to at least push to Logosian - a much shorter, more attainable goal, and still one I had wanted for a long long time. I was quite stubborn but so was she, and eventually I started to make progress. Over what seemed like an age I finally pushed past that marker, and she insisted that I needed a buffer so I wouldn't lose it.
I couldn't really argue with the logic of it so I pushed a bit further, and she kept prodding and poking me to continue. The small buffer grew to a larger one, and eventually Dragon didn't seem quite so impossible and far away. Throughout the entire march she has been a constant companion and provided more help, advice and support than I can rightly put into words.
I would like to thank everyone that helped (and there are many more of you besides those mentioned above that helped in other ways) but I would like to especially thank @Taraus again - you made it all very special and I am deeply grateful for everything you did.
I want to second/third all of the Mhaldor love. Seems like a city full of great, supportive, and informative people. Whats-more, they have initiative. It makes me want to make something of Hau.
Also, my first trip to the underworld... Touch root... wait, how do I get back out of here? Oh well, I'll probably die down here trying to find the exit... First step after.. Oof, someone else is bashing here, wait no... Ack, occultist.. Diagnose, run, nooope tentacles, tumble... Errr, I still don't know how to get out of here! Why didn't I make some basic combat aliases!!?? Raves to @Atomus for kicking my ass and giving me some RP reason to live in the arena for the next few weeks.
Nice to play an IRE game with people! They do stuff, they are provocative!
Lord Adryn says, "It came down to the Gauntlet and who could best the other within those walls. By a matter of minutes, Mhaldor emerged victorious."
Lord Adryn exclaims, "And so I present you the city of Mhaldor, overall winners of the Inaugural Adryn Keep contest!"
I cannot express the amount of pride I feel at Mhaldor's constant showing in the events, even when we were tired, didn't want to hunt, weren't sure how we'd do, every single time we just stepped up to the plate and did it. Thank you, Mhaldor, for all of your huge efforts towards these games. There's simply too many people to tag, but you know who you are and what you did. A sincere congratulations to Eleusis who came very very very close to beating us. It was truly a nail-biting several moments for me while we waited and wait and waited. And to the rest of the cities who all pushed hard and actually excelled at various events, something Adryn touched on during the announcement: No city didn't try their damnedest to win, and all showcased themselves in one or more events. Lastly, a huge thanks to the various admin who contributed to the event. This has been by far my favourite event contest-wise in a long while (I would rank it higher than the Reckoning, simply for the varied amount of events and contests), and I absolutely hope to see this return in similar forms in the future. A lot of things went really right with this event, and it just goes to show the admin are truly trying to make things more balanced and interesting for the playerbase as a whole. Really looking forward to Y700 now. :chuffed:
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
Have to seriously rave the overall festivities. In my mind, far more fun than the Y*00 games as it really necessitated teamwork with the citymates. So may props for each of them even if they were at times buggy. Really hope this becomes a thing we see again!
@Makarios@Tecton : Thank you both for hanging with me and my smarmy messages as I thought I would be a smart-arse and take alchemist as my secondary class.
Thank you both for helping a rather quickly humbled and panicked me as I discovered a bug that deleted my Sylvan class instead of the requested Alchemist class and also giving me back Sylvan with all my lessons and my grove intact.
I'll be a little less of a smart-arse from now on.

I picked up Druid/Alchemist for a hot second to see if it was possible. So it was meant to be incompatible after all, huh?
Available class slots: ---------------------------------------- Primary: Sylvan (** Current **) Slot 2: (Empty) Slot 3: (Empty) Slot 4: (Empty) Slot 5: (Empty) Slot 6: (Empty) Slot 7: (Empty) Slot 8: (Empty) -------------------------------------------- You have used a total of 1 of your available 8 slots.
Almost accidentally killed myself IRL, but I'm starting to feel better now.
Anyways, I'm back as Tristitia! I've got floors to sweep (or blood to spill on them... and then clean). Unless a replacement maid was hired whilst I was gone, in which case I have some tricks to play.

So pleased to have you back among us!
And no worries, the manor is a complete mess from lack of maid-ing. We'd never replace you, only give you the biggest pile of crap to clean. All the best for our Tris.
Also please no killing yourself in real life. Bad.

It might just be my love of shiny things, but even though I couldn't participate in the festivities at all, a major rave for the prize offered for the Adryn games. I looooooove custom new stuff and I really can't wait to see what it will be, even if I won't be around much to use it as of yet.

1) @Mhaldor nominating me as the champion, in honour of the ship race, to be the battle figurine. Was genuinely surprised by this. Thank you.
2) MY ACTION FIGURE IS INCREDIBLE HOLY SHIT SO MUCH LOVE RN
A figurine of Taraus Bravi'os gestures vaguely at a scimitar wielding figurine of the Battlemaster, Yen-Sorte and completes the ambiguous distraction by slipping behind him to administer a quick backstab with a scrimshaw etched dagger of bone.
Shimmering out of sight with a jaunty jingle, the piratical serpent easily evades the attack and appears behind a scimitar wielding figurine of the Battlemaster, Yen-Sorte, idly peeling and consuming an orange.

Can I just express that this is exactly the best kind of thing about Achaea as opposed to other games?
In no particular order, @Thelxiepeia, @Eoka, @Bayl, and @Marthor all come to mind as being pretty awesome people I've had the good fortune of interacting with lately. Thanks for making Mhalgor Mhaldor a great place in which to play!

..wait, is this that sarcasm thing I keep hearing about?

Probably out of place in this forum but was in party after a party spar when he came on. That's a rave for me!
