Of course it's fine. It's just his attitude on Mariners that's shitty.

Took a bit of a forced break, but came back to have a fun time with @Vithincus @Kasya and @Azelhu
  • Thank you, @Aurora. While my character is righteously angry right now, and filled with a passion I have seen all too rarely, the conversation and the after-effects of said conversation is pushing my Isaeah out of his mold even more.

Now to figure out what I can and can't do while I wait for this to tick away.
  • Tharos walks in from ether.
You yelp in pain as Tharos, the Announcer of Delos gives you a solid kick to the shin.
Tharos, the Announcer of Delos nods his head emphatically.
    "Ouch!" you shriek in pain.
Tharos walks off to the ether.

Best egghunt I've ever experienced. Being beaten thusly has turned my sunny side up.
  • So like Mhaldor didn't bug out during the shiprace? :P

Prin (our first stop) bugged for us, but we chatted with our attendant and they were able to know the time when we started despite using a different command. We just had to go back to Prin at the end (that didn't count against our time) to re-do the command so we'd be set for the Gauntlet. Our attendant also told us the one command we should use, and we used that and there were no further problems.
And I love too                                                                          Be still, my indelible friend
That love soon might end                                                         You are unbreaking
And be known in its aching                                                      Though quaking
Shown in this shaking                                                             Though crazy
Lately of my wasteland, baby                                                 That's just wasteland, baby
  • Sigh, and we only got two minutes taken off of our time for the land race, when it was more like 7-10 from getting the clue to fixing the bug?

    Legit.

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
  • The funny part is we made the trip from Tapoa to Prin in <30m, so we'd have gotten first regardless.

we had the bad luck of getting on Zaphar just as the tide rose, so we were stuck for half an hour. If it wasn't for the tide, we'd have placed fourth spot.

Oh well, looking forward to the gauntlet, sounds like an interesting experience

  • Maybe, we used it though, so it was there when Targ did its run.

The bridge was actually open when we got there. The problem was Mosr dying when he ran for the room, and then the rest of us not thinking to get up to the northern island and wait while he embraced to make sure we could get back. The tide coming in while he was dead was definitely bad luck, but wouldn't have been a major setback if I or one of the others had been more on top of things. Overall, we could have done a lot better, but it's no one's fault but our own that we didn't.

Our performance aside, Mhaldor's run was seriously impressive. I doubt any of the other teams at their absolute best could have come close to that.
  • Thank you to whomever was pulling the jester's strings. That was awesome.

Yae, I had a few similar moments of panic, myself. After hearing how many other people had buggy spheres, I just issued myself as soon as we ticked the first spot on Prin, fingers crossed, and just kept sailing. Made it out of the chops by Zaphar (Artanis still hot on my tail), and people are worrying whether or not our Prin location actually registered correctly, we might have to go redo the spot, and I had a Jesus-take-the-wheel moment - no way was I gonna backtrack, so I just sailed the rest of the course, while Ruth handled the attendant. Thank heavens it worked out in the end!

110% agree on the fun bit, I had a blaaaast, and I genuinely hope the rest of the captains sailing did, too. (and I kind of had it in my head that after I got sank by seaweed in the last big ship thing, I had to do something drastic to repair my street water cred :D )

  • JonathinJonathin Retired in a hole.
I enjoyed hanging out with some cool people, but all-in-all, I didn't really enjoy it as much as I should have. It was just too much for me. There was a time when I could spend hours and hours just sailing, but these days it has to be in smaller doses.
I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.

That goes to show you're not a proper sea captain! Just a wretched pirate presence. Muhahaha!

Also things like ship race would infinitely be more fun if there was more city interest/support from people who already sail rather than just depending on the known few to sail.

At least I got to find out helm triggers and aliases still work, including ship anticipate spam. Kek.
