feel like I must rave @Austere and co for an interesting raid (actually did not expect you guys to hide tanks that way, well done, but we hopefully won't make that mistake again!) Overall it was a fun raid, even though I had to pop out before its conclusion
just a pity there had to be a raid to notice that classchange had a bug where if the sketcher of a totem changes class, the runes that person had sketched on totems vanished (this bug is resolved, by the way, if any readers are worried about their precious totems)
I was already wondering why @Daeir walked away from a totem that quickly >.>
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
The highlight of that whole raid was the breathrain bombing run. That was a thing of fucking beauty, even if it'll never happen again.
So moist.
I now take back my rave about you because you used THE M WORD

I don't get the complaint. Everyone knows that breathrain contains copious amounts of dragon saliva mixed with whatever element was in it. Literally moist.

I had such infinite sadness. I thought we were one SE of where we were, we had moved when I wasn't paying attention. I was like OH HEY BREATHRAIN LET'S GO EAST GROUP -SPAMS EAST FOR THREE SECONDS BEFORE DYING- but yeah, learned my lesson. (Lesson: Use keneanung's basher to flee. It never fails.)
The best part was getting a kill on Kasa from rite of demons. I wish it had a cooler message.
you can always IDEA changes to those messages!

I haven't had a protege since guilds were around, and I have to say, my current two proteges are just so awesome to be around and interact with.

Major thanks to @Aurora for taking a few minutes to talk to me. I really hated that I had to run, as it's so rare that our times mesh up to the point of interaction, but those few moments made my week. I don't think Austere ever gets to say everything he wants to, due to sleepiness induced delirium on my part, but I am very thankful you're willing to take a few moments out of your morning to come make me feel nervous, jittery, and appreciated.
Rant: our time zones compare horribly to each other. Here it is, 6 hours later and I have already been at work for two hours. I was up late because my kid has been feeling rough this week and not sleeping well through the night. Really hate that we only ever get to interact after I have been up for 20 hours. It takes so much effort just to form coherent sentences at 3am, let alone coherent sentences that containing all the respect and appreciation you deserve from Austere.
HOLY BALLS is Serpent bashing fast. (Just like people have been saying on these forums for the past 10 years...)
Doesn't even matter that my HP pool dropped by 1000 -- everything dies so fast I don't even need to tank.
The speed, plus amnesia Battlerage, is making bashing fun again!
I never understood complaints. I've been damn near every class, and serpent was always my favourite for bashing. Freaking scales is intense too, especially combined with runes.
I will admit, for tankiness Infernal, Runewarden, and Sylvans are pretty great as well.
Are we talking serpent bashing with artifacts or...? Maybe I just got spoiled bashing as a bloodsworn Priest... because bashing seems relatively slow and I definitely can't tank worth crap. o.o
Could also be attributed to the fact that I'm not trans avoidance yet.

Of the classes I've picked up, Paladin and Sylvan are the tankiest, by far. Blademaster had some mitigation, but the endurance drain was abysmal. Paladin as SnB? Tankiest with enough active/passive healing to keep you going forever. Plus, as Bloodsworn, I had an amazing amount of health.
Sylvan is awesome, overall. Extra int/con, mitigation in several forms, extra regeneration. Very close to Paladin in terms of overall ability to tank while bashing.

Offence: Forged whip/lash, low dexterity: Serpent offence is about average. Should be about equal to unartied priest without inspiration up (comparing equal str/dex). Forged whip/lash, high dexterity (16, the max you can reach without artefacts): Significantly above average offence, but still not amazing. Doesn't come close to the overpowered classes (like knights), but almost matches unartied dragon (only in offence, not defence). Artefact lash (artefact whips aren't very good), high (but not artied) dex: Extremely strong, significantly better than fully artied dragon. I don't have enough information on knight damage, so I'm not sure which specs can still beat serpent. Max offence (L3 lash, 19 dex): One of the strongest classes, topped only by fully artied priest (the maces are a little overpowered) and probably some knight specs.
Defence: Scales is a 10% reduction to all damage types (basically the same as an algiz rune). Doesn't come close to knights or priests against physical damage (which is probably most of what you'll be taking), but against non-physical damage it's better than most classes. Having to spec dex hurts though, since it lowers your con. Overall, serpent is probably a little above average in defence. Also, nothing is going to be as tanky as bashing with bloodsworn up, I don't think even runewarden or dragon can beat that.
My rave is that I get to come back to Achaea, having gotten clean and stable once again. Thank you to all those who welcomed me back and helped me start getting back into things.

It's really wonderful to have you back around again.

Many thanks to @Taraus, @Saeva, and @Mishgul for helping that shindig feel more like an actual shindig and less like... idk, something boring and awful.
Whoever is handling Targossas' ultra cool event thingy (I suspect Ulaern or the Artificing fellow or whoever that is) is doing a very good job and we all love you unconditionally.
Mega raves to @Tesha and @Kitta for creating an Achaean version of assassins (the game, not the contract kind). It's incredibly well thought-out and complex and I assume, with my non-existent knowledge of how coding works, that it must have taken forever and a half to make. It's awesome, and you rule.
Apparently, detonating/disarming tanks has a minimum percentual experience gain of 0.5% at all levels! Pity nobody died to me crushing their minds though oh well, had fun trolling @Tibitha 's defenses!

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important
Also, the deathsights from last night were awesome.
Just a little bit more until I reach level 108.3 again
