My Achaean day has been on and off between exceedingly frustrating and amazing, but I think by the end of the night the overall dial has settled on the latter. Great company for much of the day, an old friend returned, what's not to be happy about?
I think this is a rave... just got enemied for the first time ever and managed to get a bit of rp out of it. Though I wish I didn't have to get enemied just to ICly meet a Targossian I didn't exactly want to die waiting to run into one. o.o I should go more places that I'm not supposed to one of these days, it was kinda thrilling. >.> to much stress for Eiredhel's heart, don't want her to die before she gets married.
You can always speak to one of us, most of us are happy to try and convert heretics. Tesha is at least.
Very true, Technically just hadn't met any of you, at least the non-serpents. Heh. But I will be sure to be hovering about in the coming days.
@Antonius I wasn't hovering perse, I was looking for people to rp with to write my article on Targossas. I walked into the room you guys were in about 4 times, but I didn't want to bother you guys and made sure to not stay around to eavesdrop, so I'd just evade back out and look for other Targossians, However, Eiredhel didn't want to swim to those islands to see if anyone was shopping so she trudged all the way back to your barracks to talk to you all.
So I don't know if it was so much caught as deliberately revealing myself because I didn't want to hover around stealthed like some Serpent with no morals!
But super thanks for taking the time to speak with me and giving me the information I needed.
She doesn't play any more to my knowledge, and judging by some facebook posts I get every year I log in to it she now rules Florida or campaigns against something to do with Republicans. Or for Republicans. When she didn't do that, @Beneficia played Achaea like it was a job and confessed to me once in fit of madness that she even enjoyed it. While she did that, she spent thousands of man hours doing: Cataloging everything that ever happened in Cyrene in about five or six books, setting up how things essentially ran for a good century or two, and essentially seeing Cyrene through one of its...even more peaceful times?
There's no doubt she wasn't alone in that, but she sticks out in my head for being one of the chief architects of that behaviour: so to her and pretty much everyone else who set the tone for the city back then and set the example for current groups to follow, who spent days slaving over books that now collect dust (but still help out immeasurably from time to time) in our 14 gazillion libraries: Cheers for that.
But I also personally despise you, having spent well over eight hours working out that to replicate older record keeping levels would require annexing Hashan and turning everyone there into soylent book.
@Finchy You are doing a great, great job. I'm sorry I haven't been around to help out but you picked it up and just ran with it and it's what we need. Bene was amazing because she did SO much and did it well. As I've said before, if you need me for anything, message me. If I'm awake and paying attention to my computer (which is most of the day) I get the message and I'll do what I can.
Change. It is coming. It is glorious. To all those who be involved with it. Lets see what we make eh?
Which change do you speak of, @Illyose? There is so much of it around us right now I am not sure which way to look. Also it isn't change for the sake of change, hurray! I be all excited 'n stuff, man.
Arguing with a zealot is only slightly easier than tunneling through a mountain with your forehead.

If there is any place change is necessary, it is in Hashan.
Why do I feel like everything exciting in Hashan happens when I sleep. Someone buy me an artie bow so I can wave it at Ruth! Then we can mud wrestle to see how much cake she owes me.

@Mishgul Not just for -that- but for many many things. The 'teaching session' on how to dance and walks in heels was awesome, and I really enjoy the 'easy-going strictness' of your character. Really interesting because you never respond quite the way I am thinking you will, and that makes it all the more fun!
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
@Jiraishin I love that we're getting more opportunity to interact, I'm very sorry I'm so awkward at the best of times - I just can't stop thinking of that first interaction when he told Sybilla that he was Nagaraja twice in X years and she asked what he was in between... X_X (I noob-thought that "naga" was forum abbreviation of "nagaraja" and they were the same thing.)
Anyway, thanks to @Lianca for setting that up, and so much love to all: @Taraus, @Verily, @Morro, @Xinglu, @Simoln, @Jhui , whoever else ended up roped into a Fire and Spice drinking game. It's exam season and the foolishness has been cheering me up no end!
The sweltering heat of the forge spills out across the land as the rumbling voice of Phaestus booms, "I want you to know, the Garden reaction to that one is: What?" The voice of Melantha, Goddess of the Seasons, echoes amid the rustle of leaves, "That's the censored version."
I've always been a firm believer that things happen for a reason. Circumstances don't always make sense, and the path you end up walking down can blindside you to your surroundings.
Sometimes though, there's a spark of light within the darkness. The shadows aren't full of horrors after all, and where you have ended up, is where you were meant to be. Time has flown by. Years quickly become decades, and soon you're rapidly approaching your third century of life. Joy has turned to grief, to anguish, to emptiness. There's still a clinging, lingering hope... and the promise of a vow.
I don't really have the words to express the sorrow and joy that I am currently feeling. To find out that the most important thing in my life can still be the most important thing, after all this time, is a bittersweet gift. I can only hope to treasure such an opportunity and make the most of it.
I would make a list of names, of those people that mean something to me, but those I cherish should know how I feel about them. They are the people that encourage me, inspire me, tolerate me, and stand by me. They are the people that, when forced to choose between, are chosen because they are worth it. And they are worth it.
I am back at the beginning, and that is my rave.

@Eiredhel: Try not to get caught if you decide to hover about inside the city. I'd feel bad if I had to kill you, but I'd do it anyway.

@Lianca That sounds ominous.
EDIT: It took me two edits to put together a sentence that makes sense, argh
