The following may be a little tl;dr for non-Mhaldorians, but I can't help but be proud so indulge me a little.

The two-year event that I have been running for the city is finally, finally over, and I have to say while I am hugely relieved it's also somewhat bittersweet. It wasn't so long ago that it was only a concept in my head that I came up with when I was trying to think of things to run for the city to get people active and interested. I guess in a way I'm still somewhat in a state of disbelief that it actually came to life and, well, happened - that so many related things that were just dreams and wishful thinking at the time were made real.

A huge thanks to everyone who was involved and everyone who got involved, this entire event wouldn't have happened without you. The support I have had from everyone, even when I was feeling burnt out and drained from the whole thing and really just wanted it to be over with already, has been amazing. After it all finished, the kind words that I got from people at the end really meant a lot, too.

Special mention to:

Tecton - for making the crucial elements in my wishful thinking reality, and in his own way making the Trial more than just your average competition (also being patient with the times I messed up the scores, dropped the thing in the wrong place and such..ahem);

Keresis - thanks for the great opening ceremony and the appearance of the statue;

Kaevan - for being my co-conspirator in so many of my wild ideas, extremely accommodating to my many requests, and overall just being a great ear;

Xer, Antidas, Katzchen, Rakon - thanks for stepping up and volunteering to be aides, and helping push people to join;

Xenomorph, Nizaris, Ruth - generally just being great leaders and being very supportive of what I was trying to do;

Everyone else in Mhaldor who participated - it would have been a sad competition with no participants!

I'm not sure, in the end, if it will have the effect I was trying to go for, which was basically just to make the city more happening, have more activity going, more fun to be in. But I hope that for those two years, at least, everyone who joined enjoyed themselves.

Best thing that's happened to Mhaldor in the past 100 IG years, at least. Great job Jurixe! I know it was a lot of work for you, tiring and probably frustrating at times.. but I think you'll find everyone in Mhaldor will agree, the event was definitively a highlight for them.
