    Yeah, it's a tradeoff. Things spiking up around 3.5k-4k damage at times (probably high because of latency on my end or some bad tracking I've got somewhere) for 3-4k gold seems fair.
    I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.

    The stuff I fight can actually do 3.5k in one hit :( the goblinoids and shadows anyway.

    They do scale, but Xaden was referring to the actual cap - if you kill them for too long, even the super mobs will drop crap gold.

    Oh yeah, gold cap is kind of annoying, but it keeps some people from just staying logged in 24/7 and just standing in a certain spot, infinitely fighting mobs without moving.

    i don't think he was saying it was on purpose.  I'm not sure anyone in this day and age even knows how to properly die to misadventure

    I think the only way to die to misadventure is like.

    Falling damage??? Maybe???

    Maybe starvation/alcohol poisoning too but I giggled that he somehow died, got back up, and then got into the caverns.

    I have died to 'misadventure' for like.. walking into that murder-pit near Cyrene with the squids.

    I flew at 1k health and something in the temple knocked me down and killed me. I was flying to avoid LoS.

    Yeah, those 3 splinters we took out of turn were really the difference maker. Nothing to do with us performing better than anyone else in the days before the coalition at all.

    It's ok to be in 4th place though man, I mean Cyrene are real up n comers, no shame there ;)

    Two other shrines besides Sartan (not counting Aurora) are also at fragmented as of today (don't know which order they went up in), so yeah, it looks like the shrines are progressing. I seriously doubt more than one or two will be done by the end of the month, so presumably this event will go at least partway into November. Especially since everybody is using the exponential boost from multiple splinters now - without it, I doubt any shrines would be this far along.

    And here's hoping "fragmented" is 66% and not 50%. If there's a third stage of rebuilding, I'm going to be sad.

    Not from the beginning. Just from around the time Mhaldor left, when Deucalion ordered it because Aurora's got to partial first. I'm not sure how it's "cheating", regardless. It's the same way Prospero got it and really the only way any order in the Coalition can keep up with those out of it (due to not being able to take splinters on other turns).

    But getting two rounds of splinters isn't necessarily better than getting as many splinters as you can take. See Babel, Sartan.

    Mhaldor can be proud for getting to fragmented outside of the Coalition, though, sure. I'm just not sure why there's so much mud slinging at others in this event.
