I'm gonna try to shed some light on why we (Mhaldor) have been upset by the large gank squads/insta kills on entering area.

It's not because you're killing us. We don't care about dying, losing experience, dropping herbs/minerals, or anything like that. We care because you're stopping us from participating in the event in the way the admin have set forth.

We don't have 100 people we can call on to come help with splinters. We usually have 3-6. We can't fight you head on. The admin have set forth rules that are supposed to allow us to participate in the event. You aren't following those, making it next to impossible for us.

That isn't fun, and it's against the rules the admin put down so everyone could participate and have fun.

Please stop.

I.... ,feel bad now it was crazy last night when the team came and stormed the castle and succeeded...

But not being able to play at all sucks. I feel you... Even when you do get one we all go and guard the stalagtite

Ive been attacked on three different occasions by three different Mhaldorians outside of the scope of the 'rules' of this event. Today. I have zero sympathy.

I understand why you say that, and the part about Mhaldor being a massive part of the founding is correct.

I'm not going to get into it on the forums, and probably not oocly anywhere, but just know that it is not nearly as simple as you think, and there was quite a bit of ooc and ic drama surrounding it.

Eh... I've waited to see my target subvert or attack someone before I attack them and I've left the group whenever the activity went beyond the scope of splinter-to-shrine, and I've had certain mhaldorians gunning for me whenever/wherever they find me. Feels like mhaldor decided to go 1v15 and take it out on the individuals whenever it didn't work. I have trouble mustering sympathy.

Maybe if you guys got on your knees in some public forum and begged forgiveness and to be let back into the coalition they might accept.

Do note that if you've participated in ganks outside of subverting in the past few days, people are going to attack you on sight.

I don't keep logs and I don't keep count. I know I have stuck to splinter-to-shrine activities and am not mad about getting attacked outside of it, just not coming up with much sympathy because of it. Besides, I know my opinion of fight-and-forget in this event does not stand up to the return of cause. If you attack someone in my group and I attack you to remove the threat to my ally, you can hunt me down as much as you want for 30 days or until you kill me 2 times, if I remember that right. Last couple of sentences were pure snark. It wouldn't be a kez-post without it!

There is certainly at least one Mhaldorian (guess who!) who has also been jumping people (who participate in splinterfalls) outside of splinterfalls. It's frustrating all around, but Mhaldor is by no means completely innocent, as well.

If everyone could just PK in the splinter area during a splinter fall, and then walk away afterwards happy and content, it'd be grand!

The mentality of "You did it, so don't expect it not done to you" is not the way to go. I think we could all step back a bit and evaluate how our factions are handling things and try to tone it down.

I'm just a little person, but I've been trying to follow the rules. It's hard to distinguish between who is a valid target and who isn't. It isn't enough to just say "kill them is they subvert." Avatars are calling for help, allies are calling for help, so it's compelling to come to their aid.

I don't mean much in these fights, but at any time I, personally, am at the cause of someone feeling robbed of their experiences (including their sense of fun or fair play), it'd be awesome to get a tell or a message.

The last thing I want to happen is for people to stop having fun. I'm having a blast with this event, but thinking my fun is at the expense of someone else's gives me the sads

I find it so weird that Ashtan's focus is on rebuilding just one shrine instead of both Babel's and Aegis' shrines, given they are both patrons of Ashtan related stuff. Because even despite the fact that Aegis is Ashtan's patron, the coalition (or at least eleusians) still helps to raise his shrine.

Also so this splinter collection event has made me realize how lacking I am in self-sustaining skills. I really need to learn how to ink my own tattoos, to behead and to get the insomnia skills...

Oh you're fine. I think that was the first time I've seen you around, I expected everyone was pretty much following @Rangor, who I poked on an OOC clan about having stopped subverting 4-5 minutes ago... and who kept attacking anyway.

I get to experience my heart stop every time i see the GOLDEN NAME of Jhui walk by me.. or the BLOOD RED of Proficy.. without actually having to deal with Ugrach right after. :')

@Makarios @Nicola please halp - looks like either Occultist chaosrays or BM thunderstorm hit through phase (I couldn't see the attack line but I got paralyzed and took pretty heavy damage). I'm also filing a bug report but it'd be great if you could look into this top-priority, given how much these two attacks are being used right now...

Also, can we get another look at dying to yourself with Avatar essence? Getting to keep it and getting grace to relinquish with thereafter is kind of whack.

Ez fix is just to make relinquish not work while graced. Have to renounce first.
