Maybe you should get good and figure out how to beat their strategy instead of bitch about it. Your side has like.. 50 people. The fact that Ashtan's whooping your ass like that is a credit to their skill and/or your incompetence.
It doesn't take any skill at all for a bunch of bored, artifacted trolls to suicide rush and AoE-spam uncoordinated noncoms and lowbie fighters. Sorry if you think otherwise.
You have currently used 20 enemy slots of your 20 maximum.
Yeah okay dude
usually i have to clear the enemy list and re-enemy anyone who is not an ally in the room for each encounter... and even then sometimes i don't have enough slots for everyone.
not that i mind hehe since i die to crucible just as quickly anyways
Step 1. Jump into splinter group relinquishing essence. Step 2. Drop crucible. Step 3. Spam as much AoE as possible. Step 4. Everyone explodes from crucible. Step 4. Collect tasty avatar essence while dead. Step 5. Relinquish essence while graced from death. Step 6. ??? Step 7. Profit!
Team Ashtan, ladies and gentlemen.
You'd know what step 6 was if you could count, @Adeleine.

Have to disagree, here.
It may not be the hardest strat in the world, but you still have to actually execute it. If it was so easy, why isn't everyone doing it? Every faction has access to AoE skills/items, it's just a matter of using them properly.
Quite a few of the group they rushed were regular group combatants, and a couple of top tier fighters.
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.

Ashtan is the only one abusing insta-kill-through-starburst AoE deathspam artifacts and graced essence relinquishing. I like to think that the rest of the game is better than that. It doesn't take any skill to walk into a room, faceroll on the keyboard and speedwalk to your shrine from the Cave three minutes later with all the essence you grabbed with your credit card.
And it takes zero skill to have a group of 30 use a bashing attack on a target. We've died plenty to your enormous groups. Stop crying
Nobody said it did. You'd have better luck learning some basic reading comprehension instead of trying to stir up shit with stupid comments like "stop crying" (even though nobody's crying) and "lol you have more people" (even though you're the ones that willingly went one-versus-the-entire-world.)

I hate seeing this bullshit line. Grow up. More salt in you than in a vat of Worcestershire sauce.
A: I liked your previous comment before you edited in the hateful
language that clearly shows that you're mad. For those of you wondering,
the second sentence @Adeleine posted ended with "instead of failing to troll".
B: I think you're clearly the one crying, but then again, you're rubber and I'm glue, right?
I liked @Adeleine's forum presence until the last two pages. A very small group of people takes on the ig world with a very predictable technique that they virtually have to use yo stand a chance. You guys die to it for a week straight and now you're salty enough to say the dude with 15k kills isn't skillful. This is trump level projection
Adeleine, take a step back, log out for a while, and go do something else for a few hours. It does wonders to help you come back to a level mental place.

It's not abuse to use a game mechanic that is in place.
Also wasn't a 'credit card' gated item. I know a few people who completed it without spending a single dollar OOC.
You don't have to like the tactic, but trying to portray it as anything other than a solid execution of various skills by an numerically inferior group, is disingenuous.
The grace bit is something I'll agree with, as I said before, but that's something that will have to be fixed by the administration.
tl;dr If you have an issue with AoE/Crucible, bitch to the admin, not the players utilizing them effectively.
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
These changes made splinter fighting so fucking fun.
Coalition has it. No, Ashtan has it. Colgano gets lucky af. Jhui Kills Colgano in Eleusis. Some random person kills Jhui. Someone kills Patroklos after he's collected. Someone kills that person.
It's like extreme reverse hot potato and it's probably the most fun I've had in ages.
I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.

I completely agree. The removal of fast travel, aside from the potential abuse of radiance, is making this way way way more fun.

yeah, one time seragorn wanted to try aoe and it was just us against a smaller group. i was the only one who procced crucible and seragorn promptly died afterwards heh.
Was solid dive. Only wish there was some downside to dying to denizen with essence.
This, plus the relinquishing while graced thing.
- (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place." - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely." - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")." - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish." - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."
Fast travel removal was fun but like. What the fuck.
Why can't I walk on water. I'm literally an avatar of Neraeos. Is his punk ass unable to walk on water?
Also; the only issue I see thus far with "NO FAST TRAVEL NERD!" is like... Moghedu and LHG is.. just... no. Literally, no. You at the bottom of Moghedu and someone at the top mind locks and radiances you? GGWP, you die...
Also; an easy (and fun way) to get rid of crucicble suicide bombings? Make it so if you die to yourself, or to a denizen...

Unless you're on a Dvorak keyboard, in which case, it's between ; and J.

ON THE FLIPSIDE
A simple truth of IRE is that that credit card buys you some shit that ain't right.
But this is just standard IRE event complaints.
Let's move to happier topics:

The essence is just destroyed completely. : o )
