People get to those areas pretty fast once the message shows up. I can imagine bashers running out of the area only to be ganked right at the walled/blocked entrance as they're trying to leave. Especially clueless newbie bashers who don't know the map very well and have to spend a couple minutes trying to navigate their way out.

Avatars and players subverting or gathering splinters are Open PK. This means that someone who is an Avatar (or who is in the process of becoming an Avatar) can be attacked by anyone, for any reason. If they so desire, they can seek retribution for attacks upon their person.
If you are actively defending an Avatar you are opting into combat and all normal guidelines apply.
Splinterfall locations will not be deemed Open or Free PK, this is too detrimental to those who might want to extract, harvest, or simply walk through one of these larger areas in order to get to other places.
The shattered Master Shrine locations can be considered defendable to appropriate forces (if you have reasonable roleplay reason to be defending/attacking there).
Avatars can no longer utilise most forms of teleportation, they also cannot follow other players, nor can they be empressed or delivered.

This change is good and clarifies things immensely, but I think there's still a problem.
I was threatened and driven away from an area just for being near it (after the announce and in fact, until going there, I had no idea it was a shardfall area) before being attacked, both inside and outside the area, by multiple people. This is without so much as seeing any essence.
Now, while I am fine with my character having created animosity toward themselves and others having reasons beyond shardfalls to want to attack them, it still seems like people want to lock an area down and drive others away. If that's allowed, then that's fine, but it would be nice for it to be clear.
I'd like the teleportation/following changes better had they occurred earlier in the process; it feels late in the game for such a big mechanical change. I'm also rather disconcerted by the fact that blackwind/astralform/phasing apparently still work; they aren't teleportation abilities, but for the purpose of getting an Avatar out of the area they might as well be.

Phase is one thing, but for astral/blackwind where you're basically required to have an alchemist, and even then there's a chance for it to not un-wind them? Obscene.
@Makarios@Nicola : What about moving those of Deucalion, Gaia and Babel so they are similiar exposed.
I know that the Valurana shrine was moved at the start of this conflict due to it being placed in a private part of the temple that only Order members could reach. So there is a precedent already in place.

Gaia's is accessible to anyone. Babel is accessible by any Ashtani. Idk about Deuc, but those two seem fine to me.
Phased, you can easily eye out and go straight in balanceless where astral has a long eq. How you think astral is an advantage for a temple that you have to open to go in is beyond me lol

Honestly diving Atalkez was the best dive since we dove @Cooper at old Shallam major guard stack and kidnapped him because Babel told us to. @Tanris would remember.
