  • The gloves have come off..

(because the pizza is done XD )
  • Lusternia had a body augmenting class - Illuminati. A mix of flesh-y eldritch-y ents (sorta Occultist-y) and mutating your body parts, like growing meat tentacles out of your chest. Every part had different kinds of mutations so you could adjust them to fit different situations, made them pretty versatile (eg. I think you could grow wings instead of tentacles if you wanted to fly instead of movement hinder).

I wish I had more people to play M:tG with! Whenever I'm down in Seattle for events, the Lady Planeswalker Society is super neat to interact with and great at teaching/being inviting, but they don't exist up here :(

(Best pizza topping is a raw egg cracked on top right after it comes out of the oven, by the way :>)

    Miss it sooo much. :<
I also want this as long as it's pre-beastmastery
     ftfy
    YES!!!!

  • So with Gattan'bahar showing off with some new abilities...

Possibly, in theme with the Black Wave, a class involving shadow magic (Gattan'bahar killing by manipulating the victim's shadow, and when flying was carried up by a wave of shadows) and applying mutations to oneself, in a vaguely similar way to Propagation?

Maybe hashan is getting their darkness class :D

  • I'm excited for the new spirit that Shamans will obviously get with this new class.

    Not sure that would work.

The spirits of each class are based on legendary or heroic individuals of the past, of a class, that are summoned for their talent. Each of the classes has roots in the past. If this new class truly is linked with Tsol'teth magic and manipulation, then there wouldnt be a past user to channel

Could just add a bit of lore about some ancient Tsol'teth, or use one of the few we know already. Really an easy problem to solve.

And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

If I had the "die" ability that's been posted I'd finally be relevant in PvP lol

SPIRIT BIND GATTAN'BAHAR. Some (dis)assembly required.
-- Grounded in but one perspective, what we perceive is an exaggeration of the truth.
  • Well, first of all I don't think the Tsol'teth are going to be inclined to teach you guys anything, they're not your biggest fans for some reason.

Second of all, you should look up how Tsol'teth spirit possession worked out for Adchachel, should be on the wiki. Poor chap.

Could be defectors! That events post could be about Tsol'teth "tribes" being attacked by other Tsol'teth, in some sort of domination play, and those would be willing to trade knowledge for salvation from their brethren.

Give me a couple days and I'll come up with more straws to grasp at. :(

    Sore losers.

    - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely."
    - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")."
    - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish."
    - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."

  • Learn from Matic Ridley.
  • Drawing back her arm, Gattan'bahar flares with power. Lightning coalesces within her hand, a spear
of terrifying brilliance that threatens to outshine the Sun.
With darkly scowling intent, Gattan'bahar let's the weapon fly.

Senoske falls to Gattan'bahar, his body seared to a crisp by electric energy.
Senoske has been slain by Gattan'bahar.

Gattan'bahar spreads her arms wide, a tide of darkness boiling up from the ground and sending her
    aloft.

    Lovely abilities

As a fell darkness settles over Achaea, the world falls silent.

The preternatural tones of Gattan'bahar echo out across the ether, "It is time to be processed, slaves."

An insurmountably loud shot sounds into the heavens, the clatter of rigging and the scattering of sails incomprehensibly emanating from nowhere.

Awash with briny undertones, the voice of Great Admiral Caspian sounds out across the realm, "I'm disinclined to acquiesce to your request."

Dockhands across the realm gasp in horror as the Dread Fleet lingers on the horizon, countless ships of unknown and familiar blotting out the blue beyond.

Awash with briny undertones, the voice of Great Admiral Caspian sounds out across the realm, "If you want this booty, lass, you've got to get through us first."

An uplifting musical ditty fills the air, and you suddenly feel invigorated enough to start a bar-fight with the Tsol'teth overlords.
Was listening to the intro to Megadeths 'sweating bullets' as I read this. And... Shivers. Bring it.

  • New class: Disciple. Priest class but you choose a divine to follow and it changes your abilities based on that choice. Think Cleric from D&D.

Ultimate ability, turn someone into essence that let's you tap into divine powers (short duration).

So long as it's not brokenly half-done like it was in MKO, where of the... 6 or 7 different specs there were, people only ever really chose 2 (SOMETIMES a third.)

Hokay, so. For realsies. I've been doing a lot of reading of the Seleucarian era lore and the associated stuff trying to figure out the prophetical wind of this event thus far. In doing so, I've come across a few likely candidates for what the next class might be. They're probably all hilariously wrong, but for the sake of discussion, I'm going to put them out there anyway.

The Survivor's Prophecy (or the prophecy of the only person to ever emerge from the ruins of Seleucar alive, mentioned in the history scrolls for the Seleucarian empire) mentions a line regarding 'disremembered mastery was reborn'. I think this refers to a few possible things:

The engineering prowess of Emett Bowing.
The power of the weapons wielded by the Sapient League to breach Seleucar right before its destruction by Parni deSangre were strong enough to topple the fortifications of Imperial Seleucar at full strength. These weapons were so powerful that for whatever reason, Parni deSangre ordered Bowing to destroy any trace of them and their creation under the effects of his powers of compulsion.

I should also specify that they were full-on gunpowder type weapons. One text mentions the "Jester inspiration from their firecrackers" used to raze an entire wall of Imperial Seleucar.

    Tinker/mechanist class, anyone?

The magical prowess of the Floating Temples of Shar'ilian.
These are barely mentioned in the texts, but an item originating from these temples already exists in the game - albeit in barely any quantity. The infamous whisperstones (of which I own one) are of distinctively Shar'ilian origin. They're also incomprehensibly advanced.

Fragmented whispers of hushed, faraway conversations breathe endlessly across the surface of this unrefined stone, their languages as
innumerable as they are incomprehensibly foreign. Of a dark shade of green verging on grey, its form is rough and uneven, with an asperate
surface broken by wisping veins of sparkling black mineral. Small enough to fit easily in the palm of one's hand, the whisperstone is
    substantially heavy for its size.

Nobody knows what happened to the Floating Temples. There's barely anything written about them. What little that was written about them was that they had an incredibly advanced cabal of magi residing within them. If one was to branch off a new class or mastery based on Seleucarian lore, this is where you'd do it, because they've technically been there the whole damn time, floating around the world or whatever. You could do basically anything and go 'IT'S FUCKIN SHAR'ILIAN' and we'd all have to nod our heads all sagelike and pretend we know what that is.

Call me apeshit crazy, but I also vaguely remember either Makarios or Nicola mentioning that the next class will be "magical" in some way or another.

The disremembered mastery refers to the return of the Cauda Pavonis (briefly), and the relearning of Alchemy.
The practice of Alchemy was a Seleucarian affair. They split the Cauda Pavonis into the ether after they got pissed off at people treating them badly for how esoteric their stuff was. This honestly probably represents the "disremembered mastery" in the prophecy I mentioned, although I'm kind of hoping it doesn't.

    The Tsol'teth shadow-weaving magic stuff.
People who mind sapienced Gattan'bahar during her days of frolicking about Sapience and strangling people to death with their own shadows noticed that all of her cool shit, ergo the shadow strangling and plunging entire areas into darkness, shared the "shadow" prefix that hasn't been seen on any ability in the game before. The insta-kill was also called "die". Not "shadow die", just.. "die."

She also full-healed using demigod/divine commands, but we won't talk about that too much.

This one's an obvious choice given how the event's been positioned so far, especially with Gattan'bahar flexing her muscles and making a VERY PROMINENT POINT about people's shadows being turned against them. Also note that the Tide does something similar.

    Some food for thought, anyway.
    Interesting guesses!

How about that Pyro. Or Shadowpriest. Or Crusader.
