  • The golden statue twitches somewhat, indicating that the God of Wealth is not quite so dead as
    believed.

Uncaring, Sartan steps on the statue and moves onward, grasping the limbs of a shadow of Bal'met and
wrenching it completely off. He wields the arm like a club, bashing to and from with His new weapon.

    lol

  • Pandora finishes Her puppet and puts a firecracker in its head. The puppet explodes, as does one of
    the shadow-forms of Bal'met.

    obliterate is OP.

  • You hear a high-pitched screaming noise and instantly a bolt of red, crackling
energy strikes your mortal body. Your back arches as pain explodes in your
brain. Crimson fire erupts through your eye sockets and mouth as you die in
    unspeakable agony.
You have been slain by Baatti.
The corpse of a colossal Dala'myrr falls out of your inventory.
A goldenseal root falls out of your inventory.

seriously... save the world.. act like children?
  • That was a long event to spend ignoring the morons among us
  • I missed the end bit because people were acting like morons and I am now trapped in the 'unable to move freeze scene' whilst praying.. so that's awesome, thanks for that
  • @Katia: With great power comes great irresponsibility.

Well this is turning into a strange event.
"I keep having these weird thoughts lately, like is any of this for real..or not?"

People were acting like idiots from the beginning. I honestly think the people going around and PKing others during this fight should get a TDF from every living Divine.

I can send you a quick log if you'd like.
  • RIP LORD SARAPIS OF THE LOGOS You were amazing
  • Vox Vocis Mortuus, Katia Lokelinde Le'Murzen
Empowered by Maya's sacrifice, he battled as a Demigod to help defeat Bal'met.
She brought light back to Unsidhe Court by slaying Fafnir, Lord of the Dark
    Court.
    She slew the Ur'Vampire Tizane.
    She slew the vampiress, Belladona.
She summoned Lord Taug in lost Kasmarkin.

  • In general it was kind've an underwhelming ending.  The gods killed Bal'met, BBEG #6402.  Whoopy.  The people who were late couldn't take part in the battle at all (believe me, I tried) and in the end it just turned into "watch the world emotes while people act like jackasses as normal"

When I first logged on, I couldn't even def up thanks to the lag.  And it took me fifteen minutes to stop fighting after three DSLs to try and leave the battle since I could barely see my attacks in the bunch.  Generally, it was just a chore to be around.  And that last speech had no weight given that Sarapis and Maya were pretty invisible from the start.

Yeah, I agree. Being a demigod, zapping Dala'myrr, and fighting the shade of your former patron is totally underwhelming.

    Shut up.
Would've helped a lot if the people who were late were able to -do- something in any meaningful way.  But nope, one set of DSLs among several dozen.

  • No one did anything meaningful, Nell, don't worry.

This plot was written to conclusion before it kicked off. If no one logged in at all today, it would have ended precisely the same way.

But, there is one bright spot:

Pretty sure that's all most people did (except in my case I used a spiritual mace because why not?). Expecting an individual glory moment with > 500 people logged on?
  • You were able to become a Demigod, you just needed to be patient like the first people that entered the pool and WAIT to become one.

I think you missed the entire point of the event.  Then again, I don't think you log in anymore.

It is all we can do sometimes to grit our teeth and ignore that crap, believe me.
  • uhm, so if we missed the event we can't be demigods? =(

  • Sat in the ether for 5 minutes with no indication of anything happening. Walked out, slain by dala'myrr, disconnect, log back in, no honors line. Sorry Sarapis, but I've hated this event from the beginning, and the finale did not redeem it in my eyes

  • The only thing I didn't like was the lag, which wasn't the admins' fault at all. The idea behind the event was certainly as epic as promised. It's just one of those stories that work much better reading after the fact rather than direct participation.

  • >_> My favorite part of the whole thing was probably after the death of Bal'met with Selira, just coolly standing and commenting while chaos erupted all around Nishnatoba.
