Always been amused that people can play a game where spraying acid on enemies, crush their limbs, rip their hearts out, parade around with a head on a pike, so many examples of horrific violence and defilement, but it is consenting people doing more than kissing that gets them in an uproar. The game clearly has tons of adult themes, if someone is upset about that aspect, then just avoid it. Its one of the few that is pretty easy to do so, actually, unlike fighting, drugs, theft and the like.

Some people eat bacon. Some people do not.


Most of the people who don't eat bacon don't complain about the people who do eat bacon ... unless they can't eat bacon for medical reasons, in which case, I feel really bad for you... hopefully vegan bacon fill some of the void.

Let the people who want to eat bacon eat bacon, sheesh. Oh, right, and who cares if some people who play Achaea mudsex. I'm sure there are people who play(ed) WoW or GW2 and had erotic roleplay there ... somehow... somewhere... ... yeah, try scrubbing that out of your mind. You're welcome.

There's also the people who don't eat bacon and think you shouldn't eat bacon as well and lecture you on why eating bacon is bad then throw buckets of red paint on you when you say you'll keep on eat bacon.

Or as Kayiel said : secretly eat not just bacon but the whole pig while telling you your bad for eating bacon.

What if you're religiously forbidden from bacon in real life? Then you -can- eat bacon in-character outside of your own interests.

Unless you're like, seriously tempted by bacon in reality and this is just your way of "indulging" without sinning ... ... would eating text-bacon be a sin for someone who can't actually eat bacon because of religion? I don't know. This is why I'm an athiest, but someone let me know, please?

It is... but the IARC (who assign categories) don't communicate risk very well (they deal in evidence).  Group 1 (to which processed meats have recently been added) is substances which are carcinogenic to humans - but that says nothing about the level: all it means is that, at some level of consumption of processed meat, there is some increase in risk of getting some kind of cancer (in this case, it's an 18% increased risk* of bowel cancer).

Most potential carcinogens fall into Group 2A/2B (probably/possibly carconigenic to humans) or Group 3 (not enough information).  One substance - caprolactam - is in Group 4: probably not carcinogenic.

Cancer Research UK made a nice diagram:



*There's an essay to be written on what an 18% increased risk of bowel cancer means, as well - but I'll spare you that.  Suffice it to say, this is a very small risk.
