the greater disneyland area (like greater los angeles area?) has two parks, disneyland and california adventure. i really love world of color, their light/water shows are tremendous. also reasonably close to universal studios, which is a lot of fun.
i thought the butterbeer at the harry potter part of disney world was just fine. it's like cream soda, don't know what you'd expect it to be.
I went to Disneyland in Tokyo over two days. Disney land and Disney sea, was amazing and lightly snowing, just had to speak a little bit of Japanese. Universal twice. Second time was this year just to visit Harry Potter world. The butterbeer was gross. Warm honey comb liquid with to much sugar, but the place was great. We nearly went on a public holiday, skipped that and had to rush it the next day. Sprinted through crowds just to get a tickets! So very interested to see how the rest of the world does Harry Potter and Disney now.
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."
Was at Burning Man, as always this time of year, for 8 or 9 days recently. The big curvy building (the Temple of Promise) in the second photo was the project I was a big part of making happen this year.
True story: I was recently in a waiting room somewhere, and idly flipping through a magazine that had an article about the top 10 temples at BM 2015, and the Temple of Promise was one of them. I was like 'hey, I know the guy who did that!'
also, the coat in the last one is fantastic, but howtf were you wearing it in the desert without dying

Heh, heh, thanks but as the first Temple was only in 2000 that just means we are in the top 2/3rds!
As for the coat, it gets quite cold at night. That pic was taken about an hour after sunrise and the temp was still in the 40s. Almost got down to freezing that night!
Not the best quality of pictures, but AWW YISS. I'm the bassist who's almost constantly tinted in green light, but the Ottobar had some awesome lighting, and we had a wonderful setup. :chuffed: Looking forward to playing there, again.
@Sarapis were the bugs as bad this year as I read about? The way it sounded was locust were going to just carry everything away. I'd love to make it out to burning man someday. If next year some goofy looking guy snatches something from your hand and runs away shouting "I have the staff of Nicator!" it wasn't me.

There were no bugs at all. They'd died or gone away by the time gates opened. People who were there building for 2-3 weeks before that, on the other hand, definitely experienced some insect hell.
Funnily, I do actually have a ~6 foot staff with 24 programmable lights in it I carry around out there sometimes to spin and to make it easier for people to find me. It could totally be the staff of Nicator!

I fell like we should all see this staff...for erm, "science" *cough*
p.s. for all you hungry animals, no innuendo here.
Is that fabric or paper over a light? Or is that some sort of resin?
ETA: Also, since I haven't put one up in a while, here's a fairly recent photo of me and my daughter! Sorry that it's a bit big.
"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to? You will never find that [everlasting] life for which you are looking. When the gods created man they allotted to him death, but life they retained in their own keeping. As for you, Gilgamesh, fill your belly with good things; day and night, night and day, dance and be merry, feast and rejoice. Let your clothes be fresh, bathe yourself in water, cherish the little child that holds your hand, and make your wife happy in your embrace; for this too is the lot of man."
Another glimpse of what I do at work! That's an actual image done during the operation to assess the screws drilled into the spine and pelvic bone of the patient. It's called the teardrop view (see: right side) because you can make out the shape of a teardrop.
Here is a picture of the toy crocodile I snuck into work.
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"

Also, I started listening to Welcome to Nightvale because you raved about it. Pretty good!

Album of Bluef during her time in Achaea
First four hour session done. Looking good so far!
Half-obliterated evening sustenance in a Hong Kong style restaurant:
And near the end of the offering of food, the puny servantsrestaurant staff have also presented an extra surprise offering to me:
Sadly, the red fluid contained in the small glass is not for consumption. But it is a pretty red fluid.
Any fly fishers here?
