@Andrea start working on specializing in tilt shift photos then ;)

@Sarapis that's true, though there are still a few purists who baulk at Photoshop and such. I'm a dark room lover myself for black and white photography, but silver bromide is a pain to find around here. The one thing about being in Australia and it being a little behind in technology is that there's still a niche market for film.

I haven't done a tilt shift since I was an undergrad playing with a large format camera,  how I loved contact prints!  I think I really miss medium format the most though

@Mosr pls. It hurts me how cute you are.

In fact, you kinda look like Tyler Joseph (Twenty One Pilots) in that pic. Be still my heart.
[2:41:24 AM] Kenway: I bet you smell like evergreen trees and you could wrestle boreal mammals but they'd rather just cuddle you

And I have no clue why it's sideways. It's right side up in my phone.

I mentioned in my last post here that my photo I put up was from a little under a year ago, here is something more recent (got a haircut a couple of days ago)

  • I believe I have introduced you humans to Vanilla, a white-furred Persian kitten who was given to us by my clan's matriarch's male sibling who raises Persian cats. She shares our first Persian's, whose name is Tigger, ability to bypass the aura of madness that I usually have. In fact, our two cats also seem to have the ability to cause insanity in even the most eldritch of beings. Which explains my inability to not pet them when I encounter them.

She has thus used her immunity to my reality-warping powers to

    (1) Sit on top of our Christmas comestible-packages, denying us access to delicious Spam, Pringles, and spaghetti.

    image

    (2) Stand on two legs to claim the dab of medicine on the hand of my clan patriarch. Next thing we know, she'll be evolving thumbs and building death rays and the like.

    image

    (3) And basically just chilling out.

    image

    (4) Also, sleeping.

    image

Her, and Tigger's, immunity to my powers is proof that cats are the highest form of mortal existence, and that all humans should strive to be them.

Ahh, what the hell is wrong with that cat!?

Eat like a caveman, train like a beast. Champions are not born, they are made.

  • Interesting infections. Did it get sprayed with some kind of chemical by accident?

Losing their light in the glorious sun,
Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling,
Only remembered for what we have done."

No. While I do appreciate the concern you have, the cats are not, in fact, a product of accident, and I take deep offense to the accusation. I'd retaliate violently, but I realized that the allegations may just be a result of a gross misunderstanding.

Rather, Persians are prone to tear duct stains, eye stains, whatever the other Persian-owning humans call it(here, I've googled up some links to show how common it is). Our case is just a bit more obvious due to the white colour of her fur. Thusly, we do take the time to clean the areas around her ocular receptors to prevent the onset of bacteria buildup and other unfortunate surprises.

Look on the luminous side - she does share a slight similarity of another infamous feline:

Except Grumpy Cat has dark fur around her eyes instead of dirt+ocular excretions.

@Synbios‌. I did not mean to offend, nor did I say anywhere in my post that I accused you of doing such. I have a cat who was sprayed with bleach because my idiot of a neighbour thought it was water as she used similar bottles. Even then she also mistook it for somebody else's cat that was a pest. My cat's not blind but the chemical burns to come from it look similar, and the only way we could treat it was with eye droplets.

That is very unfortunate. It is a good thing that vision was not impaired though. I hope that you visited terrible retribution against the bleach-sprayer.

@Synbios‌ no need. Cat never leaves the backyard now but that woman paid the price after someone called RSPCA (animal welfare) on how cruel she was to our native birds (see my kookaburra pic as they were victims too, hence another reason our yard is a haven for them) and got a nasty fine and eventually moved out just las week. Council won't care about domestic animals, but don't mess with the natives ;)

@Wysteria: Bit of a shame the animal welfare remains unconcerned with domestic animals, but good to hear that the bleacher got fined substantially enough to have to move away. Your feline companion can rest easy now.
