    Yeah, @Eld! That was all down Pacific Grove on the scenic route to Pebble Beach. Mostly at Asilomar State Beach. Soooooo freaking gorgeous.

    I went to the beach here the other night. I'm not sure if it's unique to this area, or if this happens at all beaches, but if I run my hands through the sand just before the waterline, it sparkles blue-green. It's really amazing, and not sure what causes it (for all I know, could be the damned oil spill, but I don't know). Anyway, it's pretty awesome and freaks people out when they come to visit and I show them. Like under the sand as burrowed hundreds of fireflies that glow blue-green and have been stirred awake.

    @Kenway Aw Kenway <3 Just come visit. I'm an old boring married lady but we can go play in the tidepools and talk about how completely awesome Harry Potter is. And go get some tasty seafood. And then listen to awesome musics and take a drive down 17 mile drive.

    I used to go there a lot in the summer when I was a kid. I love it there. I spent more time in the gardens and up at the Gloriette.

    You could try a similar name for the bird next time to what my brother used for his dog.  In fact, it's quite easily adaptable for most animals.  He named his dog Deefa.  Beefa would be great for a bird!
