Series 2 will be King forever, but this one was okay! Last episode was a touch heavy-handed, but it was enjoyable all the same. One thing I will say is that it kinda feels like they left themselves space for more, though they said it was the last series, so I have no idea! Being confused sucks

Nobody ever said it would definitely be the last series. All that's been said is there won't be another next January, which isn't at all surprising because it's always at least 2 years between seasons. The BBC are reportedly "reasonably hopeful" for a new series in two years time.

So my main goal since coming back from dormancy has been not only to continue my character's story, but also improve myself as a player. I have never been able to code, even after taking classes on the subject a long time ago. But I want to eventually get into PvP and to do that I need a system, and to build a system I need to learn how to make one.
@Miriew, bless his heart, has been an excellent and incredibly patient teacher, and after multiple conversations and looking over his examples tons of times, I felt like I had learned the basic coding vocabulary enough to take a spin at reading the mudlet manual.
My biggest question has been how to initialize/declare a variable. I knew the importance of variables and what they meant, but up until this point I had no clue on how to start the process, how to bring them into existence so I could use them.
Today on my lunch break I finally figured it out, and now I'm eager to get home and try my hand at a very basic trigger!
@Sobriquet in case you're being serious (not sure), it's actually an old meme, circa ~2013:

tl;dr some idiots on the internet pranked a local news station and gave them fake names for the pilots of an Asiana crash, jobs were lost over the incident iirc
I've been dealing with a lot of crazy things lately that was leading to a bad depression. After meeting Carmain irl and learned about some of the changes, I thought what the heck? I decided to come back to Achaea and have been a lot happier since then. Thanks Achaea!
Conflicted. Working 18 hours during Australia day public holiday. However, projected 6 hours is sitting in crib waiting for permits which makes me really tired and doing holewatch for the last 6 hours just drrrrrraaaaaaaaagggggggssssss.

Man the only other name i know it by is cockatoo and i was trying to avoid slang.
Basically people go into a conilfined space. Holewatch stands outside the hole they went in and watch them. Your only job really is to stay awake and in case everyone dies call emergency to fish the bodies out. (Slightly dramatised)
And it's extra worse because when shit does hit the fan and they need rescue you absolutely cannot go in after them and try to help, lest you get injured/hurt/murderized as well. You need to call emergency and then just sit there and hope they're okay and try to get info to feed to emergency services once they get there. It's one of those things that goes 0-100 real fast, but for the most part you're bored out of your goddamn mind.
Entirely random but on the bus home from work and I happened to glance up and see the plates on the car in the next lane. HARBNGR.

For holedivers, holewatchers are the angels on our shoulders. When you hear work stop, you kick the winch and call the medics.

I came across He-Man and the Masters of the Universe on Netflix. And Whoosh - I'm a kid again sitting cross legged on the floor eating a Flintstones push pop.
I like when the nostalgia fairy brings me things that aren't waves of delusion about the good ol' days.
Also, holy shit that show was geared for kids. Complete with the "Today kids, we learned strangers are bad/don't smoke crack/don't steal..etc." message at the end of each episode.
Heading back to Texas tomorrow, looking forward to large amounts of large steak, alcohol and warmer weather. I might even have to actually do some work while I'm out there though,

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important
