Third day on my long awaited vacation at Phuket. 
Amazing place, and definitely a rave.. even though I haven't logged on in a while.

Massive storms all day long. I got five books read (that I had read before) and made another big jug of iced tea.

Ooh, and the three magpie geese that I saw a couple weeks ago has turned into an entire flock of geese. I think there's maybe around twelve of them now? I love spending my afternoons watching them avoid getting chased by the turkey posse, before they go to roost in the treetops.

Last night, our internet provider flat-lined through out the entire country. 
At the time, I was hunting in the room with three semi-hard hitting denizens who dish out a lot of afflictions. 
After it dc'd on me, I sat here staring at the 1.5k health I had left and after an hour of not being able to connect, I really thought that I was going to have to wake up to either a bunch of xp loss or stolen items.

I don't know if your team have actually implemented a change to preserve or force qq ripped players, but I don't remember it being this way a long time ago. I remember if you got ripped, you could potentially wake up to a few levels lost. Either way, it made me go from feeling total dread to wanting to play more Achaea. Thank you for the love, work and support you guys put into this game. @Tecton, @Sarapis, @AchaeanStaff.

@Lavakhi If you are totally idle (not inputting any commands either triggered or manual) after death you will automatically be disconnected after two minutes, ideally to prevent such losses!

Friends kept trying to drag me out to go see the production of Blithe Spirit that's ongoing here. Couldn't because there was so much work to do, but it was really sweet, they even showed up with pizza to surprise me after.
Also got back the sound files for the informal Halestorm covers we did recently and they sounded pretty A++ for a bunch of goofs mucking about.
Convinced a good friend to play some League, the results were pretty amusing.
AND THEN I BOUGHT LELIEL A COCKATIEL SO SHE CAN RANT ABOUT BIRD SLAVERY as well as a budgie for a friend, and had too much sugar clearly.

Just finished our annual concert event, thankfully it (mostly) went off without a hitch.

On the negative side, I said goodbye to a particular favourite pair of shoes today. That's the thing about these 'fashionable' shoes that use rubber/plastic or a very thin veneer of leather, they don't last. I also discovered that I'm now incapable of enduring stilettos for any extended period of time.

In two hours I have my private first tango lesson with Adrian Ferreyra (eta: improvised performance, this isn't choreography). I've spent about 3-4hrs/day training with his other students over the last 7 months and learned Spanish for this, during which my own awareness, control, sensitivity have grown more than during the 9 years I've had the hobby. (Sorry Achaea, I gave you up to hug strangers to music.)

A little nervous (some of his other students plan to watch how I learn and how he explains things during this lesson), very excited, and hopeful that I'll leave the lesson with a deeper understanding and less confusion.

( @Sarapis - Caroline Peattie and Christopher Nassopoulos are two great teachers in Marin county, or Homer and Cristina Ladas in the greater Bay Area who are excellent but with a very different style if you have the interest!)

story time! Usually only Austere gets stuck listening to my stories, but I wanted to share this one with everyone because it was the most inspiring show of courage, confidence, and determination that I personally have ever witnessed. At the swim meet there was an athlete with no legs (from hips) and only one arm. She swam in two events and each time she finished with a huge smile for the fans in the stands cheering her on. My son got to see her swim too, and we both were reminded there is nothing we can't do. He swam a short while after her and finally achieved a personal goal he had been after for some time now. I wonder if she realizes just how big of an inspiration she is, to not only the younger swimmers, but to everyone who was there. I feel privileged for my son and I to have had the opportunity to watch her compete.

So, with Thanksgiving this week, I only have to work three days. And one of those days we have work Thanksgiving. Then I have Thanksgiving dinner Thursday and Friday. 

Pretty damn happy about all of this time off and food.

I saw two teens get engaged on a bench next to the lake and a massive trash can in Epcot, Disney World last month. Their friend was seated next to them and drinking beer/eating a hot dog. Hopefully, you had a less weird, more romantic setting and congrats.

Mmmmm. Fresh deer tenderloin and tomorrow I will be making the jerky. And no it wasn't an innocent. That bugger ate all the veggies from my garden this summer and left the weeds. Definitely an agent of chaos.
