After a long, hard year of brand promotion, it's really starting to pay off. We've sponsored Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed for his podcast, The Jasta Show, and are starting to get some recognition there. It's an awesome feeling to have one of the influential bands you grew up listening too now wearing and repping your gear.
Ah, same logo, just with leathery winged goodness added to accent it.
It's bad ass either way. I'll probably be making a purchase sometime in feb or march. (gotta pay for this upcoming semester first.)
Awesome! There's also the affiliate brand we just officially released, Hardcore Clothing, so feel free to check that out as well. #shamelessselfpromotion
@Kresslack I may or may not have also noticed you sell tattoo patterns... If someone were interested in your winged logo from the shirt I posted, how much would you charge to make said tattoo pattern available... I mean I don't wanna just gank your ish man.
@Krypton I
honestly feel a bit disappointed. I have a degree in information technology as
is. Meaning I shouldn't even need to be taking the above networking basics
course, however, it’s one of two prerequisites required to start on the bachelor’s
program I’m trying to get into. Oh well boosts my gpa.
Watched the Syfy channel's Childhood's End three-part thingy.
It was pretty good! Better than I thought it'd be. Childhood's End is one of my favorite Sci-Fi stories (top three, for sure), so to see it put on screen in enjoyable fashion was really great. They took license with characters and parts of the story, of course, which is fine, but all in all, a really commendable effort.
Also, Charles Dance so had to be Karellen. Good for them, for seeing it.
@Anedhel I was happily surprised at how Syfy handled that, they've been known to be a bit hit and miss with their attempts in the past. Safe to say I may have cried through the last half of part three. They did a really good job with it.
So my home loan on my first house has been approved. I went up last night and installed a dish washer and fixed a few other minor details that came back on the inspection as needing attention before they would sign off. Just waiting to hear back as to whether we passed inspection or not. Not trying to jinx it (we have had a lot of issues so far), but it looks like I will be closing before Christmas. So excited about finally owning my own home. Moving is going to be a bitch, but I am sure I will get that sorted out. I might be gone for a day or three after Christmas(no clue how long it will take them to move my Internet connection), but don't give up hope on me guys. I promise to return renewed and invigorated, as this is the last six day work week for me. Bonus: my boss told me that I could take off work early Tuesday or Wednesday to go close on this house. Have to love those understanding bosses.
Just got back from an IRL bashing trip! Had a ton of fun, a very successful hunt, and I have enough venison to allow me to go beef-free for a year. I still have one more hunt scheduled for the first weekend in January, but that meat will be donated to families in need.

I really enjoyed it. I've not read the books or been privy to it before this mini-series, but I was impressed. The fact that Charles Dance was Karellen was an added and unexpected bonus.
Slightly personal... but I think time and medications are finally paying off and I'm becoming more of the person I was meant to be. Socialising both in and out of Achaea is becoming a much more enjoyable experience for me, and I definitely get the sense that I'm being a lot more productive. I'm certainly not 100% healthy but I think things are finally looking up and I'm seeing more of a future for myself than I did before. Also thanks to everyone making Achaea fun both IC and OOC.
Flash flooding and gale force winds. So much freaking squee. It's about time the monsoon started!
Fingers crossed for a really wet Christmas.

Do you want my rain? Because you can have my rain.
While California can certainly do with it, living in the middle of a redwood forest during heavy wind/rain storms is scary. We lost two redwood tops and had power taken out (again), and one of the tree-sized parts that fell landed on the chicken coop. Fortunately, the steel frame-chainlink fence their whole pen is made out of slowed it considerably, and none were hurt, but I now have no coop, and my bathroom is full of chickens.
Also, another downed tree took out the powerlines (again). Two years running now we've lost power at Christmas because of trees. New tradition!

We're pretty much without any electricity for the majority of the monsoon season here for various reasons. It's not uncommon to be without power on Christmas Day either.
I'm happy to take your rain if you take all my turkeys and the magpie geese! They're all sitting in the garage to stay out of the rain and they keep upsetting the cockatoo which keeps screeching and it's headache inducing after a while.
I love the rain, though. Storms aside, it's absolutely lovely and so much better than dealing with super hot humid days without a/c.

Neighbours who did this bought mum a giant box of chocolates and a 'thank you' card for xmas, 'for putting up with them'. I guess they aren't -so- bad, when they want to be.
Fence been fixed for a while now, disregard that :P
As of 20 minutes ago Christmas is over for me. I am so thankful. It was a nightmare this year, just like it's been for the past several years. It's over. I survived.
