    Happy Thanksgiving.

Today is the first chance I've had to have a moment alone in over a month, by standing up my entire family on thanksgiving. I barely sleep, and they know that, because I have to catch my grandmother when she starts to wander in dangerous directions, especially with my kitchen being renovated at the moment (floor's been pulled up and new one isn't in yet, and there's a 2-inch lip at the top of the stairs giving me nightmares).

I was feeling guilty about standing them up, worried about offending them with my absence. The rave: Nope, not offended. Someone walked in with two plates all done up for me. One had turkey, ham, stuffing, etc, and the other had lemon loaf, apple crisp, cinnamon bun, cupcake. They even dressed them up with butter and melted marshmallows.

The desserts were wrapped so well it took me a while to figure out my way in, but it was worth the effort.

Thankful for an understanding family.

     It's october 12th?
Do you need me to post the map of the world again, just to show there are areas outside of the US?

Some of them you haven't bombed, too.

Wow, the Pilgrims slaughtered the Indians in that many countries, huh?

    #neverforget
  • This little guy from the UK got offered the chance to work in Boca Raton, Florida.

    He said no.

This time next week I'll be at the beach, weather permitting, for my first vacation in two years. I am so ready.

    Where!? (Promise not stalking)
Oh shit, @Brean, just saw this. I'm at Myrtle Beach until Saturday morning.

Shunsui Kyoraku finally released his Bankai
  • My Steam Controller and seven PC Engine games arrived at the same time.
  • Just deleted ten gigabytes of Mudlet data on my profile for Adet alone: four from auto-backups of the profile going back to 2012, and six from what appears to be every single crowdmap update since May 2012.  My computer is suddenly so much happier!

Oh wow. I should've checked these folders before copying my profile - had three profile folders each with 30GB of profile saves and map updates from 2011-2014. Welp, hello 90GB new free disk space!

Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh."

:open_mouth: How or where do you do this? *clueless*

Mine's in C:\Users\[me]\.config\mudlet\profiles\Achaea\current for the profiles (leave the most recent one - that's your current settings - and maybe a couple of backups) and C:\users\[me]\.config\mudlet\profiles\Achaea\map (again, leave the latest one).  Delete them as you would any other files (leaving the most recent file - I cannot stress this enough!), then probably go and empty your recycle bin, too

This is on Windows 7, and [me] is my Windows username.  ".config" is a hidden folder, so you might not be able to see it, but you should be able to get there by copying and pasting the pasths into your Explorer address bar.  The "Achaea" link will be whatever your Mudlet profile is called (so you'll probably want to do something similar for any alts you have).

I am betting there will be atleast one person that accidentally deletes the most recent files and suddenly wonders where their scripts went

Wow that helped a lot, thank you! Had no idea mudlet stored that much stuff.

  • Mudlet now ships with Iocun's delete old profile/maps plugin - should be listed in your aliases - otherwise, you can find it here.

By default, it deletes all the profiles except the current one and one for each month (to make sure you can roll back still if you need to), though that behaviour can be changed.

Bit easier than accidentally deleting the wrong stuff

  • Oh, that's what that does.  I should stop deleting it whenever I make a new profile then, huh?

I delete my backups on a semi monthly basis and frequently have over 15 gigs.  You guys need to click save more often.  Seriously: Every.  Single.  Edit.

You haven't met my dog yet. He sees a cat and he thinks it's meant to be on his dinner menu.

@Kayeil : I think this particular Fluffy is a bit higher on the foodchain than your dog, so taking him to the Oklahoma zoo might not be such a good idea.

@Silvarien - his breed is meant to hunt big game like moose, bear, wildcats, etc. He's not afraid of them, so I don't think he'd be intimidated by a lion. At least not until it tried to kick his ass. lol.

I got to have dinner with @Kasya tonight and she is totally awesome! It was great. I am so stoked to get to meet more and more Achaeans in travels.
Should have said you'd be in the area(ish, I have nfi where you actually were). I would have had an excuse to make @Aerek go to the Brewhaus in Chattanooga with me again.

I'm so jealous. At some point us three have to hook up and have a blast. It will happen!
And I love too                                                                          Be still, my indelible friend
That love soon might end                                                         You are unbreaking
And be known in its aching                                                      Though quaking
Shown in this shaking                                                             Though crazy
Lately of my wasteland, baby                                                 That's just wasteland, baby
