2. I had a nerve block, but can now wiggle 3 fingers. THREE!! Yessss!
3. I can do a ridiculous amount of things one handed, like open boxes and uncover my kitchen scissors to make dinner. It took me 3 hours but I got the medical bracelet off myself.
4. I still have way more post anesthesia ammo on my mom than she has on me.
5. I was able to train myself to sleep on my back.
6. Two weeks off of work. Netflix, comfy yoga pants, and I are spending a ton of time together.
7. Pain pills make delightfully loopy. Life is wonderful.

Netflix Australia finally uploaded Supernatural. Binge watched it at least 100 times, but now I can do it all over again, at my leisure!

Not five minutes later, a rather emaciated girl whose sunken cheeks bore the telltale pits of long-term meth addiction plucked up the earrings and the short shorts, and dropped them into her cart. Once she had walked away, my floor guy high-fived me, and said, "I knew she was going to snag those! You know what they say: 'The bigger the "o", the bigger the ho!'"
I had never heard this expression before. I couldn't stop laughing. Sometimes, my co-workers really make my day.
You might think we would have learned something like this sooner, but you don't learn the word for "you" until your second semester (or for us, your 5th week).

Rant: So the house I live in is a duplex. Suddenly there's like three fire trucks and the fire chief's SUV outside my house in the front of the other house mine is connected to. Washington state is in a huge drought right now so that was really concerning, because if there was a big fire going on it could easily jump down to the houses next door. After the fire was put out and the investigation was over, apparently it was a lit candle that caught a nightstand on fire. That was the only thing in their house that burned, but there's a lot of smoke damage in that bedroom and they can't stay there tonight.
Rave: Everyone is safe, and it was a lot smaller than it could have been. Neighbors were super responsible and took care of it very fast, so the damage was pretty minimal considering how quickly that could've escalated.

A lot of our local Chinese folk used to pay pretty handsomely for suckling pig.. which means piglets and not full grown adults. So there's a potential market there as well if anyone likes Chinese cuisine. Good luck to you though, that's really awesome :pleased:
