My video to improve the work processes of my x-ray department was shown to the department today. I received a good response. It's short, I suppose, but you get to see part of what I do for a living. And also my x-ray room and tools. This is also the same guy (in the video) who has helped me brainstorm for my project that's for school-based research, and whose opinions and work I highly value because he respects mine too.

  • Bruhh. Do you get dry hands from using sanitiser that frequently?

Yes, I do, and the nails get dry too!

As a fellow Michigan transplant who's now in the south, welcome to far nicer winters.

Yeaaaaah. The good news is that on average Detroit is just as humid as Atlanta, so there shouldn't be much transition period there.

Watched Jurassic World! In my opinion, it was great from beginning to the end. T-rexes are the best ever!
    Best movie showdown of 2015.
    - (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place."
    - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely."
    - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")."
    - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish."
    - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."

DINOSAURS. It's already available in your country?  :o So jealous. I've been excited about this movie since before it was even filmed. I've been bugging Seragorn about making a MUD with dinosaurs in it, but he doesn't want to do the work.  :(

I loved it so much. Also, Chris Pratt.  <3

Yes it is a continuation of the first Jurassic Park film, but bypasses 2 and 3 like they never happened or existed.

Nope, it doesn't acknowledge 2 or 3 in Jurassic World. They happened on different islands. Jurassic World is meant to be a more direct sequel to Jurassic Park than 2 or 3.

I already knew that 2 and 3 took place on Isla Sorna (as opposed to Isla Nublar), but things happening on different islands isn't actually declaring movies non-canon to the timeline.

I've seen a couple places where it mentions that it is more of a sequel to the first and pretending like the others didn't happen.

I read a different article, but yeah... the others are treated as non-existent which is kind of weird for a franchise, but can't really blame them since those movies didn't do as great. Also different directors...

Another interesting thing is that the first Jurassic Park was more "accurate" based on what we knew of dinosaurs at the time (though not all the dinosaurs in the film are from the Jurassic era). Jurassic World completely ignores anything new that's been discovered about dinosaurs since then (feathers, the way raptors held their front limbs). The inaccuracies and the trained raptors are probably my only complaint about the film thus far (since I haven't seen it yet), but I'm still super excited!

The inaccuracies are specifically addressed in the movie.

Inaccurate but who wouldn't want pet raptors? That would be awesome.

Excited to see the movie. Jurassic Park was a big deal when I was a kid.

This would have been a rant, because I woke up at 3:30 am to discover my cat had completely chewed through my laptop cord. After searching for a backup on Amazon that could be delivered by Saturday, (and being grateful that he managed to not fry himself) I went to Walmart and found a universal charger.

That actually works. So no enforced breaks from Achaea!
Pesky animals. When my chihuahua was a puppy she ruined a router and my Beats headphones. Could be worse, though. My aunt's boxer has destroyed tables, couches, and several of his crates... not sure what else. Glad you found an easy replacement!

Those were ruined before your chihuahua got hold of them. Now you can get a pair of Sennheiser Momentums or HD 600!

lol. I haven't actually replaced them with expensive headphones. Considering she loves sitting on my lap or laying on me, it was always a fight to keep the cord away from her, one which she eventually won. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen her go after the cords of anything in a long while, so maybe it's safe again to splurge.
