So last night, @Lavakhi was playing with her new WoF tarot ability and Kasya and @Azelhu kept losing out due to it. So Lavakhi said, never play the lottery.

Naturally, I then had to buy a couple lottery tickets. $8 spent, $100 won.  A+

Yesterday, I found out that complete strangers have pulled together to help one of my friends out of a seriously bad situation.

Two ladies pulled together, to help a girl with groceries for the month, while their boss made it possible for her to have her promotion and benefits from it, a month early.

None of these people were in any way obliged to do what they have done, and both parties acted independently, not knowing about each other or even that either party was aware of the situation.

My faith in mankind got a solid boost from this. I wonder how often these simple acts of kindness happen, and why they never make it to CNN or SKY news.

I have found my calling in life.  I have never been so excited about the future before.  Let alone done so well in a class and/or cared so much about doing so well.  Massage therapy is my calling, and I am darn good at it too!

For the past month or so, I've been talking with a law firm about joining their firm. I run a small office myself and make enough to pay my bills, but I've been mostly self taught in practice after starting fresh out of law school. It's a huge opportunity to work in the field of law that I love -and- get more training. Things hit a lull and I was worried they were no longer interested, but I heard back from them today, and they want to meet again soon! (It's a small, but very busy firm so hard to just drop what they're doing) I just feel at this point, if they didn't want me on board, we'd not be still scheduling meetings about it. So, I'm really hopeful, fingers crossed!

Rant: I'm addicted to League of Legends instead. 

Took a peruse through the forums to have my last say on a few things, and now this genuinely might be my final post here. Made some friends for life: Seftin, Vaehl, ily guys. Averi, ily slightly more. Carmain, sorry for the things I did. I wish I could take them back.

Enrolled for classes to transfer towards my bachelor's degree. In all honesty, I'm excited. I got my associates degree 11 days ago and already on the way towards my bachelors.

After being unemployed since I was laid off in December, I am pleased to say that I have been offered an excellent opportunity on campus as a student worker in the IT department with assisting students and faculty with their technical needs. Though my major is English, I have a technical background, which appears to have paid off! I'm really looking forward to starting this position and continuing my education with a job I know will be flexible with my class schedule.

I just turned 32 and I was so excited to receive Tupperware from my mother.

And not just any Tupperware, but a super cute insulated lunch bag with a sandwich box, a bowl, a microwaveable soup cup, and six colourful little boxes, so that I can make super healthy lunches for work.

Getting a new shrink.. Turns out the last one was just prescribing my meds and not listening when I explained that they were not helping. He upped the dosage .. l have a new head doctor and I actually seem to be making real progress with this one.  I am less prone to hating myself (still occurs but less frequently and less intense).  I am back to playing achaea but mostly just small metaphorical jogs until I get more of my issues resolved with my doctor. Small re-immersion is helping but I do not want to risk a repeat of my last botch job in the game.

Those of you who supported me and tried to bring me back to reality thank you. Those of you keeping things interesting and not making things easy I love you for that. (seriously I do)

To those who kept in touch while I was not logging in to the actual game thank you. Your words were not ignored even if I did not reply. I was just not sure how to respond to all the kindness.

I finally got a new job today. After years of searching for something other than 'temporary' and 'fast food'. I'm excited for it.

After MONTHS of technical support and being on the phone with people. I finally got a damned answer on my internet and why it’s so crappy. I was the one who had it figured out

“Is the modem set to master?”
“No, ma'am. By default they are set to slave.”
“Can you check, every other tech person has said the same thing.”
“It is set to master.”
“I need it set to slave.”
“I thought you wanted it set as master.”
“No, it’s restricting my router. Please set the modem to slave. Was it master all along?”
“Yes, it seems so.” O.o

I finished decorating the front of my house and now it looks less like a hovel and more like my home. 
I even told my sister to shove it down her jealous throat when she told me my house still looks like a shithole and I should feel bad.

Had an amazing Achaea dream today while napping.

@Jhui challenged me to a duel IRL, so we meet in the middle of a park. We're like, summoning vibes and stuff, and the special effects in my dream were pretty cool cause there were like runes and magic stuff coming out of the ground as we're doing so.

So then Jhui is like wait, brb, I gotta use the bathroom. He goes into the public restroom, and I stealthily follow him in. He starts pooping in one of the stalls, and I dropped like 6 holos on him.

Woke up like 'best dream ever'. Srsly.

Got promoted again, getting to work on a contract I used to work on that I really, really love. In training, which is a breeze, thanks work for paying me hella money to sit through some stuff I can recite in my sleep for three weeks. I usually don't know the meaning of boredom, I love my job and it usually takes a lot of my energy, but a short break from the intensity is nice. And after there's a chance of shift bid for nights, which would make me very happy.

Getting out of my comfort zone a bit socially, going out and meeting people and strengthening connections with my friends and fam. About to go out dancing tonight which I haven't done in a long, long time.
