    Just got done from the past 3 days of being at a music conference. Mostly to get some credit hours towards my certification. Learned a LOT of stuff about elementary music that I only scratched the service when I was taking the class. (Student taught secondary instrumental so I have -0- experience in elementary school setting.) Great to catch up with some colleagues (and the very few people still left in the field that were a year or two ahead of me in college) that I haven't seen/heard from short of a few facebook messages for 2-4 years. 

    Rant: If you're going to label your session one way, BE SPECIFIC. If it's supposed to be about studio teaching for strings, say that instead of saying it's for everyone. Also, really need bigger spaces for highly anticipated talks. Not that I mind sitting on the floor, but this happened three times. >.<

    Bonus Rave: I finally got to checkout MadCap Coffee (Grand Rapids, MI, however, they do have a DC store). WOW. I haven't had anything that close to rivaling Intelligentsia in Chicago or stuff from the Bay Area in the Midwest (or Michigan for that matter) yet. Decided to try their single-origin Ethiopian for an espresso...literally tasted like a spoonful of berries, very floral, light acidity, and ended with a faint chocolate aftertaste. I cannot wait to go back next time I drive by here. ^_^

    Should be an interesting game in NYC/Jersey. Seattle without it's cushy stadium/12th man and Peyton having to play in a cold environment where he tends to struggle. If the game were in New Orleans or Miami I would expect the Broncos to roll the Seahawks.

    Updated to fibre broadband at home... just wow! As someone who works from home, uploading and downloading big files has become so much less of a chore. The best thing, as someone who works from home, I don't have to pay for it!
