Did four snake programs today, the kids were great. I mentioned Harry Potter in my program ( I promise it was relevant) and some kid shouted "Oh my god, did you say Harry Potter? I love Harry Potter! You are so cool!"
Yes, yes I am.
Thanks fourth grader for making me feel awesome, even if your teacher did give you the look of death and told you to sit down.

Harry Potter is always relevant. Especially if you're doing your presentation in Parseltongue.
Well, obviously that was a joke, and the post-game press conference questions were rather poor throughout the whole series. That particular game was really interesting!
Clear superiority, anyhow.
And as he slept he dreamed a dream, and this was his dream.
Went for a hike this morning. I was feeling a bit blah but the hike quickly turned that around. It started with watching a squirrel carry leaves up a sycamore tree to create a nest in an abandoned woodpecker cavity. Then I noticed frost flowers "blooming" in the field. I watched a young deer follow its mother across a stream. I rubbed the seed heads of wild bergamot between my fingers, perfuming the air. I marveled at the variety of fungi, lichen, and moss.
Tissue paper, ribbon, bows, paper, boxes and bags, it's just the best. I love love love wrapping gifts. Also, this means I'm halfway through my Christmas present list, which is a rave of its own.
The sweltering heat of the forge spills out across the land as the rumbling voice of Phaestus booms, "I want you to know, the Garden reaction to that one is: What?" The voice of Melantha, Goddess of the Seasons, echoes amid the rustle of leaves, "That's the censored version."
Today has been a huge triumph for me - I have anxiety problems and was really really nervous about going to the London meetup. As it happened, despite nerves and a few hiccups, I absolutely loved meeting you lot and had a really good day out!
I went to one of the busiest parts of London, on my own, to meet a big group of strangers and nothing awful happened. I'm so exhausted by the experience but so inordinately happy that I managed it, and really they were all lovely people. Thank you! =D

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important
Drove to Tennessee this past weekend to watch my 10 year old son play football. Out of 15 teams, we made it undefeated all weekend and made it the championship game on Sunday at 4:30. We lost there but we finished in second place overall! We were one of the smallest teams out there and not expected to make it past the first two rounds! Our first game was against a team that had not lost a single game in 3 years. When that team left the field Saturday morning, their record was 37 - 1! The weather was awful on Saturday with it being in the forties and rain. Then Sunday it was sunny, but did not get above 25 during the day and fell to the teens once the sun went down. It was so worth it though!!!
Second Rave for the day. While out and about throwing in some paper applications, all dressed up as I can be... A nice old lady (I think she was in her 80s) Walked up to me, handed me a 20, and offered me lunch. She said "You have been walking in and out of these stores, pen in hand. You're looking for a job, aren't you?" I responded with a smile and a "Yes Ma'am". That's when the lunch offer happened. I'm a very suspicious man, but seeing as she was an old lady, I got in my car and went with her to mcdonalds. She got me a burger and an oreo mcflurry. (For once my burger wasn't eff'd up). She and I sat and talked about life and all sorts of things for about an hour or so. So very kind. I never got her name, though. I thanked her a ton, told her how much the kindness meant to me. Hopefully this is a sign. Hopefully.

HILLARIOUS
for me at least, he seemed to be freaking out. Got even more upset when I asked if I could join.
Bonus rant: @yang's gigantic signature (I'm so calling you out)
