Omg. Guns of Icarus is so freaking fun. Airships! SOMEONE COME PLAY WITH ME
I had a 4 man team for that game we would play with ventrilo and wreck face. It was too easy with a premade group. Then if I try to play solo I get wrecked by the premade group!
I can see how a premade group could wreck face. You're more comfortable with each other and can co-ordinate better. Tried playing with strangers yesterday against pre-made clans/teams in a 2v2. Was surprisingly fun yelling at each other over push to talk and we won a couple of times. My only gripe is that there's only a handful of players around at all times, ~50 people, which I find rather small!
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"

Tyrannosaurus Ruth doesn't want to be fed, she wants to hunt!
Never read the book by Orson Scott Card, but I absolutely loved the movie version of Ender's Game. I was so nervous for the protagonist at one point I went 'eeeeeee' in the cinema, and my friends thought I was nuts. <_<
Definitely recommend it - went in with no expectations and loved it more than Thor. I don't know how it measures up against the books though, so fair warning.

It was positive in that it made me want to read the book/series. As a film, I felt there were major gaps in character development and not much indication of time passing (aside from one mention of months going by, it could've taken place over about a week). I loved the idea and really wanted it to be better.
I went into Ender's Game thinking "This is going to totally suck if I compare it to the book... forget the book" and then I enjoyed it. When I thought about the whole of the story, I didn't like the movie. I mean... it would take several movies to get that story right and thorough. It's sorta like the Hunger Games. Those books were pretty fun adventures. The movie sucked. I imagine movie two is gonna suck. But when you can fill in the blanks of the movie with the knowledge of the book it's a little better.
Haha now I really have to read the book. It's always that way though, kind of. But I also don't know if I want to read it because if I do and it's so much better than the movie then it'll ruin the movie.

Since the secret is out, today's the 25th birthday. Not really in a position in life right now to do a lot, but the birthday breakfast at Golden Corral (which for me, was a large salad, three kinds of bacon, link sasuage, mini-muffins, a honeybun thing, biscuits, and banana pudding) was absolutely delicious.
It seems birthdays bring out the most interesting conversations, as well. While talk is simply talk, after several conversations today, I have decided to look into the possibility of attending a local community college. Of course with that comes having to check for financial aid and, in my case, discovering what kinds of credits can transfer (for when I decide to move home again).
I'm not really sure what I want to do, but I've firmly decided I want to begin an art course to learn everything from the ground up, with the potential of specializing in sculpting with clay, something I used to be pretty good at. There will also be choir. Other courses too I imagine - I plan to explore potential subjects to grow a passion in to work for in life. If you have to work your whole life, may as well love what you do, right?
Here's to hoping.
Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes that I've gotten. It means a lot to me.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
I knitted my first flower! One day I will master the art of picture taking.
The sweltering heat of the forge spills out across the land as the rumbling voice of Phaestus booms, "I want you to know, the Garden reaction to that one is: What?" The voice of Melantha, Goddess of the Seasons, echoes amid the rustle of leaves, "That's the censored version."
"Faded away like the stars in the morning, Losing their light in the glorious sun, Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling, Only remembered for what we have done."
Finding the perfect Secret Santa gift for the person I got. This is going to be so awesome.
Isn't that a bit early? How are the chances you leave it to the last minute?
Nope! Our company christmas party is on the 1st of December, so that's when we'll be handing the gifts out. I already ordered it and it's been shipped.
So was checking my messages on the website - internet's having a moment, so I'm not even going to try to log in - and I find that I've been made and Aide to a house position, and been removed due to inactivity about five hours later.
I don't know why I found that so funny, but I did.
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
Also, totally agree with @Skye. He actually didn't make a huge appearance in this movie (well, it is supposed to be about Thor, named after him and all) but my favourite part was probably that walk with him and Thor down the palace hallway <_< I was overall pretty underwhelmed by it, though my guy friends inexplicably loved it.

Doesn't seem that surprising to me. He's badass and hits things with a hammer, there's pretty much nothing for a guy not to love about Thor. Plus Natalie Portman. :x
I personally thought it could have done with an extra half an hour to flesh out some of the scenes more - the whole thing felt quite rushed, to be honest. My friend that hadn't watched Thor 1 said she couldn't feel the chemistry at all - understandable, but still. I really wanted to like it more than I did - and the reason I said it was surprising is because my friends normally hate movies without a good plot.
Apparently Thor is an exception, but that also might just be me.

I think some parts of it were kinda clunky like how they tried to pull off the whole Ocean's Eleven type exposition on the Grand Plan while executing it thing. And also I would've appreciated a little more dirty catfight faces between Jane and Sif. >_>
Overall though, :x Loki :x
If we had a Twilight(God not sparkly vampire, God forbid) with half his charisma... *vapours*

And the wild tangent of the story continues.

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important

Viva la Bluef.
They should just rename Thor: The Dark World to Loki
Srsly. You can tell the audience just lights up at the sight of him as opposed to only lighting up when they see the obligatory shirtless Thor scene.
