I might have exaggerated a little bit but Sentinels are terrifying. Gonna need to get piety un-nerfed so @Rangor behaves again.

And yeah, Sentinel v Magi is lol. One of your newbies almost killed me earlier. "oh, I'll just drop ret on this kid and scare him a littHOLY CRAP I'M ALMOST DEAD WHAT". Luckily Proficy and Xinna came to gank me so I had an excuse to run away.

  • Today I tried getting through, or at least figuring out where to start, the Royal Family quest up in Istarion. I failed that one miserably, and a bit later I'll probably try heading out to Clockwork Isle. Did no bashing (*twitch*), started one of the HR3s on his patrolling path, and was annoyed with my timezone because it means all the interesting stuff happens somewhere between 3AM and 6AM.

Today, after about slightly over a week's worth of whirlwind activity getting the plot, pooling our resources, brainstorming, conceptualising and designing the rooms, and debating all sorts of things from broad plans to word choice...we opened the Asterian Athenaeum.

When I think back to how it all began, it seems insane. None of it was pre-planned and I never dreamed any of this would be possible, but it's blown up into something bigger than I would have ever done on my own. It's a risky move and has been a crazy ride but I've had a lot of fun with this project and the people involved in a way that I haven't had in a while.

Looking forward to seeing what it brings!
Getting the funds was one thing, but I think the craziest (and also the most nerve wrecking) thing by far is the plot acquisition. That was the most important part of the whole endeavour. Without one of the choice plots, it never would have happened. At the moment, I'm having a lot of fun with the sort of RP avenues it opens up, so I'm hoping to see what it brings too!

If I'm the newbie..you got the scare me bit working quite well!

    My day:

Kill some Targossian labourers (Go Nature!)

    Got smacked around by Targossians.

    Did some hunting.

Got my first solo kill out of the arena.

    Productive day!

Looks interesting! I will likely be on the move opening day, but I fully intend to check it out when I'm able.

We could still have done it without this particular plot, but we definitely would have a far less compelling reason. (sorry @Liliana) That was definitely the most nervewrecking part though, agreed. So many backup plans just in case...but lucky for @Xer's fast fingers!

Did a double-take. Sorry, but WWF will always mean wrestling to me :(
    Wait...what else does it mean?

    LOL @Jacen
It used to be WWF for wrestling, now it's WWE. WWF is still used for the World Wildlife Fund though. Protecting pandas and all that.

What happened to me today is that there was something of a freak early evening storm, lightning hit the side of the house, a light outside blew up, and the things running off the phone cable extension into my study also went pop. It was such a weird noise. A little plastic pop and not the sharp bangs I'm used to hearing. Maybe the surge protection board caught it, I don't know. It's currently a waiting game to assess the damage and see if my adsl survived. Clearly need to have another earth stake put in the ground :(

@Kyrra : Jesus, that's horrible. Maybe get a lightning rod? Not sure how those work, but lightning hitting the house is bad.

I am glad you yourself didn't get hurt.

@Silvarien, that's sort of what earth stakes are. They're grounding rods and supposed to draw electricity away if it hits, and with five of them now it's generally not too bad. This house just has bad juju and it's been hit by lightning a few times. Before the last stake was put in, we had electricity feeding back into the house from god knows where and you could feel the electrical currents going through the water every time you had a shower >.>

Good news that nothing appears to have been damaged!
