Sorry Hhaos I wish I didn't have to post your name in this, but I have bragging rights damn it!
Dangit.
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."

Today I found out what happens if you touch the ancient trees in the
various forests. I've had one of those trees in my grove since I
imprinted it. How did I not know about this?
And I would have sworn up, down and sideways that it didn't work just a couple of weeks ago.
Subsequently
ran around testing all of them and logging what happens for each. Gotta get
somebody to make this into a novice task once the Houses are all sorted.

Thanks to the flooding event I ranted about in the OOC Rants section a few days ago, I was able to spend most of today hunting (and playing games of table-tennis while sleeping back endurance) - the end result:
You eat a delectable heart-shaped chocolate with gusto. Your soul flourishes under the bliss of the chocolate. Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power. You have advanced to level 82. You have reached the illustrious level of 4th Circle of Celestial Power.
Worked on getting better at riftlocking, and spent some time preparing to join the new Eleusian House when it becomes available.
So I was speaking to a little Ashtani serpent for most of yesterday, on the bequest of someone else. Gods, whoever is playing her, I love you. During the conversation, she asked me what sweets I liked. This is what came of it the next day..
A small gremlin appears, negligently throws a rolled up letter at you, then disappears in a puff of
acrid smoke.
You see that the letter contains a white chocolate owl, a dark chocolate rose, a white chocolate
heart, and a hazelnut-coated chocolate.
You read what is written on an elegant white letter:
To the priestess with her sparkly snake,
Or was it "angel"...whatever its namesake.
You said chocolate, so here's some chocolate galore,
A gift from a daemon. From the City of Mhaldor!
Focus on results and you'll never see progress. Focus on progress and you'll see results.
Played around with Reclamation and had lots of fun taking over the world with vines. Got in an argument with a younger druid about what makes someone a "true forestal." Played with Reclamation some more, because new skill!!
Person In the Nerai says, "It's okay. I just wanted to see what you looked like, the Psari that Long Time Personal Combat Hero And Also Nerai likes so much."
"You glance over @Penwize and see that his health is at 12341/11872."
Wow.

More limb damage research. I wonder what tests @Ernam did to conclude limb damage wraps into mangling, since I've found a lack of that happening.
Some party sparring and briefly teaching basic BM theory to one of the like four non-knight Shields. I want to keep him for that reason alone if nothing else.
Gave a lecture on the Mojushai ideals to a huge chunk of Cyrene, some people said they liked it. I'll miss those, though maybe not for long?
Totally metagamed and grabbed a counting frame. Since it's my idea of a cool artefact, I'm even considering getting resetting on it, and perhaps customization?!
And @Santar reminded me to figure out serpents (he also unfriended me a few days ago, that jerk :c ). I think he was the third one I fought since going dormant, but I should see if I can't force @Bronislav to give me the deets. All the deets.
Today I went searching for a steward and found one! Also tested awesome stuff and spent some hours brainstorming and overall just completely overexcited and can't do anything. Nervous and excited for (my) Sunday!

Came back from a cruise through the Notic Ocean. Decided to dock at Shastaan and found a ship... with a captain who did not want to negotiate.

The most basic test would be to break a limb with any attack that would result in over half of its limb damage being "rolled over" on a break. The resulting mangle (just have your target not heal the limb) should be one hit earlier.
TBH I have not performed this test, so please feel free to verify.
In general, if a secondary break (mangle) every took less hits than the first break, this would be "proof" of concept, even without the math aspect of it (assuming the target's max health and other inputs remained constant).
What I did was I used a very low damage attack (dagger via weaponry) on someone to get them within one hit of breaking (previously got the exact # of hits for this), then did a relatively high damage attack (legslash) to break it, and then used the previous attack again to see when it became mangled. It took the same number of hits to mangle as it originally did to break.
I did other tests too, but that was the definite proof for me.
edit: Keep in mind that it is possible that some attacks work like this, but others do carry over. That's why I was asking!

Sartan, the Malevolent says, "Your task begins now." Deepest Stygian night steals over the land as the symbolic hourglass empties and turns, ready to begin a new day. It is now the 12th of Miraman, 678 years after the fall of the Seleucarian Empire.
Right at the stroke of midnight, how dramatic! He had to have planned that... New day, new task, let's get started! Not so fast...
The Malevolent One effortlessly heaves the Blade of Perdition above His head. Eyes narrowed, the Evil Lord swings the blade toward you, and its jagged edge rends your flesh apart, cleaving your feeble body in twain. You have been slain by the Blade of Perdition.
