With all the hate being thrown around on forums, I thought it important to express my gratitude and enjoyment in regards to almost everything the past week. From killing enemies to getting gang banged by huge zerging forces, I know for me, this event has been a blast. While my time isn't broad enough to push Ashtan into true competition territory, I'm incredibly thankful for all the hard work our admin and divine have been putting into making this a fun event.
As for what happened to me, I took a small contingent force of Ashtan and Aegeans on a foray to Mirrorland and along with my new battle buddy Hopkal, triumphed over the thrall of @Morthif, who in turn triumphed over Icosse.
Today I logged in. Drew Bakios 6 (maybe 9?) times.
I got into the Blackrock Great Hunt Cave.
I then proceeded to get as many people in as possible, and was done with it after I QQ'd. Today has been a pleasant day, ignoring that the Reckoning is going on whatsoever.
I had my mentor take me to Clockwork and leave me there, because I kept dying to the reckoning... was enjoying it to much to be smart and stop. So ran around there and got like 60k and lev 80.
The part I don't look forward to is the "well at least OUR games are not this expensive!" I have my gripes about Achaea's system, but also Matt is right that it has a lot of staff per player, so I can be sympathetic vs the absolute tripe that is multiple thousands of dollars of DLC in a 60 dollar game (wtf DoA?!)
Uh... I'd guess @Seragorn immediately if anyone asked me to pick someone. Could also be real name letter instead of character letter so iono. We can't really go on a witch hunt for the TRAITOR with such minute details. 😬😬

“What if that game already existed?” Star Citizen is doing it, except even worse – because many of the triple or even 4 digit “micro” transactions don’t even have any content attached to them at all, merely promise of future Pay to Win.
You think Pay-to-Win like in Archaea is bad? How about Pay-to-Maybe-Win-Later-If-There’s-a-Game
Hate to let ya'll down by burning the Seragorn 'rich man' brand. But I'm just a broke dude who's good with numbers. I've barely spent a cent of my own money on the game. I like to think I do my part to support the game by encouraging other people to spend their hard earned money on me, and I haven't even had to resort to playing the siren (yet!). Can confirm the 'S' is definitely not me.
Finally decided to spend my membership credits that I had saved up. L1 sip ring, L1 crit pendant, and L1 bastard sword. Hunting feels so much better when you aren't having to hit and run constantly and can tank a few hits before having to leave the room. Learned a few new hunting spots from folks and hunted up from 2% on 80 to 1% on 81. Progress feels really good, kinda makes me wish we constantly had this +100% bonus exp buff.
Today, I evaded the sea. Also, the sea has health. And smiles. I want to know if I can kill the sea now. (Neraeos please don't read this post.)
He has 100% health remaining.
You pat the eternal sea in a friendly manner.
A wry smile spreads across the eternal sea's face.
You pat the eternal sea in a friendly manner.
You have recovered equilibrium.
A massive, translucent hammer rises out of the eternal sea's tattoo and smashes your magical shield.
You touch the tattoo and a nearly invisible magical shield forms around you.
(Targossas): Avianca says, "Vinzent is coming to be a hero."
You feel a sudden jerk, and the air immediately surrounding you comes alight with pale, etheric fire as a strange hissing noise fills the air.

You touch the tattoo and a nearly invisible magical shield forms around you.
You feel a strong tug in the pit of your stomach. Your surroundings dissolve into the featureless swirl of the ether, resolving once more into a recognisable landscape as you land before Vinzent.

Below the crashing waves. (indoors)
You can shield tattoo to block it entirely. TELL SEA works...
And you can prism in/out (though you can't portal. God mono, and all).
Well, after prepping hard for the Pieranotzu fight and whapping a ton of rats... I whapped one too many after being told 'you have to kill a ton to make him appear', and got thrown out for being level 21. Whoopsy. I... I think it might be a bit counter intuitive to have to kill a ton of something for something to appear, but also have those first somethings be worth a fair bit of XP, and also thirdly have the area level locked even if you're already inside it? That actually peeves me a bit! But I'm sure there'll be other fun quests to do on my adventure. Live and learn!

Double XP might be throwing the normal pacing off a bit.
Not sure how XP loss works at those levels, or if the mechanics for access to the newbie areas and/or newbie quests prevents it, but you might be able to circumvent it through dying a couple of times to drop down a level. Romeo or Juliet might know.
So, I discovered over the past few days that apparently when I went dormant last year I was in the middle of trying to convert my initial prototype of my combat system and gui over into a more sensible system using mudlet tables. Apparently I was about half-way through this process as none of my keybindings were updated to use the new table variables instead.
So throughout the last last little bit of the Reckoning, I've been trying to cobble together a somewhat passable system with little-to-no success due to old global-scope variables everywhere conflicting with table-based variables. I think for a day I kept thinking I was getting stun-locked hard and unable to attack, but no, apparently it was a bad variable reference pointing my target to nil. Loooovely.
It's a mess. Welp, time to start ripping chunks out and writing a new version then!

Props to @Morthif, @Shirszae, @Kinilan, @Katalyst, @Truax, @Chubbs, and @Aegis for making last night the best so far and a nice break from the reckoning.
Ahh shucks. Well, to be fair, ARTEFACT RECALL and ARTEFACT POWER LIST OWNED didn't work! Poor admin
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.

Why are there so many mobs that just ignore defenses like reflection.
RIP not getting Aegoth in tho.
Edit: I'm not too mad about this one. I got 1 room out of like 6 or 7 here before I died horribly. It's gonna be awful to get again though orz.

That's a little more patience than I have

20 grand is child's play for Seragorn

That area also counts for explorers. So.. glhf!

I've gained 3 4 (I can math) levels in 2 months, this is faster than I got 97-99.
