You fling your Hermit tarot to the ground. Upon contact, it explodes in a great flash of technicolour light, flinging you across the land. You vaguely make out a large, square doorway of light and you step through it.
Rocky fields (road). A noxious, red-hued fog overwhelms the area with a thick, palpable vapour. The sun beats down oppressively upon the land, banishing any moisture beneath its rays. A decaying corpse has been impaled here upon a fifteen foot stake. An occupied iron gibbet, suspended from a wooden gallows, creaks ominously in the breeze. A massive, thickly stemmed lycopod quivers slowly and deliberately here. You see exits leading northeast, east, and south.
Four sturdy walls of congealed mud rise upward, constricting movement within the creepy domain. Slathered in slime, an abundance of earthworms and dark beetles wriggle and scuttle throughout, the marshy earth slithering with continuous movement. Neatly organised into parallel lines, the limp bodies of several charred, deceased kittens collect upon the soggy ground, their milky eyes purposefully gazing in a multitude of directions. As though a grotesque trophy, the decapitated head of a scorched puppy protrudes from the northern-most barricade of earth.
Mezghar Al'Jafri, Elemental Menace says to you in a rumbling, basso voice, "Why don't you tell me why you are rescuing a child, evil witch?" Mezghar raises an eyebrow questioningly. Melodie narrows her eyes at Mezghar in an unnerving manner. You laugh under your breath. On Painted Wings, Daine Anemides looks confused and says to Mezghar in a gentle soprano voice, "Have you never been a child?" Oblivious to the conversation around her, Tshaya, a gypsy child clings tightly to your leg, staring fearfully at the gathered crowd. You smile and say to Mezghar in a golden voice, "The East still delights me with its interpretation of things."
It was a fun little event, and I'm glad I could sneak on for it.
Reaching down with a massive hand, Sartan lifts your head and draws a taloned finger across your throat, the wound closing as He does so.

Ha. I love Mezghar.
I didn't log them, but he asked Shanugis for his tailor's name because he thought his clothes were just so fine and then tried to sweet-talk Atlantia and was threatened with an arrow to the throat.
Oh, and when we entered Manusha, it was something like:
Oaste: "Manusha. Leave."
Mezghar to Oaste: "I'm trying to save you, you dolt."
Went back to Occultist, after like ~6 years of not having played it.
Impulsively bought like 1400 credits, got my SoA again and a Lv1 diadem.
Bugged @Dunn for like 2-3 hours to help me remember stuff I'd forgotten about Occultist, plus help my gather stuff for it. Also found out he's someone I helped a bunch in Lusternia, before we both stopped playing. So I guess it's payback
Forgot how bad inscribing was; can do 20 cards at a time now at least, and Seragorn gave me his quill to make it even faster.
Productive day, I guess?
eta: Forgot how awful transmogrify can be, at least I got other things to play while waiting for cooldown. Don't feel like losing exp from dying to remove the mog
@Nyneve and I decide were going to do ship trades. Nyneve makes out a route, and we set forth.
I, having not sailed much in 6 rl years, pull out a map and we set forth. Stop in shastaan, grab stuff, carry onward to tasur'ke, exchange stuff, and kazbar we go!
Then life happened.
Me, being me, decide screw sailing all the way around, we're going to go north and cut across.
All is going great! Hitting those turns like a boss, enjoying the sea breeze, spending time with the wife when she goes, hope we see a sea monsters so I can test out the weapons! I'm like, that'd be fun!
Anyways, near the top of the world, just cruising, and Bam!
Your shit is rocked as the most cunning monster ever appears!
Sooooooooooo amoks and ordering the crew to start instant repairs, nyneve goes to man the weapons. I'm thinking, yeah we got this.
Then the dead end happens. So I'll like amok amok amok, turning around and Bam!!!!
Get wrecked, and for some reason I'm not seeing many weapons going on, but I'm focused, we got this.
Point in fact. . . . . We did not have this
So we're at 50% hill and I yell out, look you got your wish!!!
Sooooooooooo we're a running and Bam!!! Suddenly I'm sideways into the slow shoals screaming turn turn!
The ship did not turn.
So suddenly the decks on fire and it's screaming abandon ship!
But me, being me, had an assload of gold in the strongbox, runs to grab it.
You can only take gold out in a harbour.
Well fuck my life.
So I grab a token, give it to nyneve while I'm trying to still escape into open sea, dousing fires, screaming repairs, and she's not leaving.
No no, my love grabs my hand, kisses me, and we die into the halls together.
Then when it costs 100,000 gold to get everything back to right she looks me dead in the eye and says,
"Let's go find a sea monster"
This is why I'm fully enjoying this game again, @Nyneve, you are indeed Mila's sunshine since Mithraea died. Thank you for making me laugh and motivate me to be here.
Verrucht cityfavoured Dochitha for: Being one of a handful of folks to defend
10+ times in this latest batch of favours, plus just overall being an absolute beast while at the
same time being very conscious of being a Cyrenian. It's not easy to balance being both a combatant
and a Cyrenian and few do it with as much skill as Dochitha. Thanks, bub.

Good job! That's what happens when you actually have people who care about their city and will take a risk. Hashan had even more people on but proclaimed they couldn't beat our group and gave up, which was weird. Cyrene's definitely been improving a lot because of their attitude.

This is amazing.
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
I got to lead a cleansing ritual! For a spur the moment, quick writing exercise I felt it turned out alright. With time and embelishing, they will only get better! Hope @Deucalion and Targossas enjoyed it
Now the fun part of transcribing and logging after work. After I finished the ritual I had to jet to the gym and knock out a 2 hr workout in 50 minutes so I didn't get a chance last night. But that pump tho...
Our PW was roughly equal to the amount of Mhaldorians in Hashan, and considering the people involved on their end (and that we had a few newbies) there was no way in hell I was going to try 'an fight a heavily entrenched group with surrounding vibes & cata. Even if we survived that we'd have to deal with the likelihood of Aegoth and Iakimen taking advantage of Mayology. Thanks but no thanks.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby

This attitude right here is why most people think Hashan is still a joke. Pull yourself together, and stop using me as an excuse to refuse engaging. As flattering as it is, I'm rarely the reason why Mhaldor wins fights. I challenge you to put some pants on, and learn to overcome the challenges you think are insurmountable. Teach those noobs, and find ways to neutralise threats. Reality check: if Cyrene can do it, anyone can
To be fair, as amazingly happy as I am to see Cyrene engage more, we still pretty regularly just avoid fights due to numbers/irrational fear of ret strategies. I'm not convinced we'd have engaged that last fight if the sanction hadn't got started early on.
Ajoc, don't let something like numbers get in the way of a good underhanded dig.
Man not even an underhanded dig. I had more fun during that raid (and with @Crixos and @Iakimen during my many many duels with @Kriex) with Mhaldor playing along with my nonsense than I did in a long time, PK or not.
Also holy cow the Apocrypha is classy af. @Sartan can we get more of that please???
