    Thats a personal question..

    Day late, as usual:

Counter raided Hashan after a failed excursion on their part into Targossas. We were doing incredibly well, but got a bit over zealous trying to get a level 2 tank (Lord knows why). Home terf advantage of guards kicked our ass after silence faded.  Raid numbers were fairly even, regardless of what anyone says (I wrote log with all defenders and all raiders), so all in all, twas a good raid. 10/10 would repeat.  I don't think I scored a single kill, though.  Monk hinder too good when your team > 7 and you have another artied monk going ham. Just hold em down, watch em pop.

Attended an auction I had not planned for.  Decided to push the bids up a bit (for Good!). Only managed to have it backfire once on me and got stuck with @Achilles.  Why couldn't it have been someone that doesn't already help me out at every turn? To be fair, pretty sure he has given me 125k worth of runes and sigils already, so chalk that one up as a tie.

Worked on my salve tracking on and off, again. Got infinitely frustrated when I realized my logic was backwards on what I wished to accomplish. Spent a good hour reorganizing it to process how I want.  Always good when you can recycle a complex function or four. Shaved off days of work for me.

@Austere heard about the raid! Sounded like a fun thing (especially that part where @Kasa got accidentally invited to your party)
Who knows, maybe next time I'll actually be awake for the next raid :D
(and yes, Kasa too was wondering why you guys hadn't blown the tank yet after his failed rush)

edit : woops, sleepy typing had a double next
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!"
Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh."
Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."

  • I keep dying in Hashan and my level hates me.
But Hashan good sports, enjoyable times, hope it's reciprocal!

    Did the Battlerage Basics task.

You rip into an accursed skeleton with your massive, deadly claws.
You have slain an accursed skeleton, retrieving the corpse.
Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power. You have advanced to level 113.
You have reached the illustrious level of 4th Echelon of the Paramount.
*** Congratulations, you've just completed the Battlerage Basics task! ***
You feel your experience grow as a result of your accomplishment.
A large pile of sovereigns spills from the corpse.

It was nice of Kasa to go ahead and quit before we made the effort to make a new party. I have seen people do that and it is very frustrating. I tried my best to detonate that bad boy on my way out, but I got wrecked.  Remainder of my team spamming me to get monolith.  Once I killed it with mushroom(right after first burst, the command finally went through), I had to numb just to stay alive.  No one came.  :(

Edit: forgot to mention.  I went that whole raid without arties.  Didn't even notice it until afterwards when I flew and wind was blowing me around.  Fail.

Haha, yeah man. I would never do that, that's called "being a jerk", which is not what I play Achaea to do.

Okay. I'm a jerk to @Tharvis but he likes it. Most of the time. :proud:

It was lots of fun all around, though for sure.

Sounds like a fun raid for al! Which is weird since you never see both sides satisfied with the "fairness".

Moral of the story? Everyone should raid Hashan more.

I've been working rather diligently towards affording a level one band with gold because financially the credits for tri-trans I'll be buying has set me back. I was at the roulette table in Cyrene and had 250,000 gold in hand..I dropped to 50,000 did one last bet and climbed up to 1,200,000! Then I was an idiot and am sitting at 500,000 in coin after lady luck turned her head...so a good day but a disappointing one as well.

In the end..the house always wins

  • @Gamden  well I mean, I at least doubled my money so I am happy with that and if I pick up credits at 6,000 each I'm about a quarter of the way to a band which would be my first artifact.

  • @Aziik for sure! I wont say no to that, Thats really a good win
I just don't have the discipline to walk away at 500k..Ill try again and again for that golden spin

    Probably walk out there naked

  • For the last two days I have primarily done paperwork. Blech. Hopefully that's done for for a little while.

Also moved my grove (again). I thought I could move it up to Saoghal Valley for privacy, but then I just kept getting messages from people saying they'd found my grove.
    - (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place."
    - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely."
    - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")."
    - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish."
    - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."

  • Woke up and realised I replied to a message in my sleep, agreeing to bargain with someone to sell them an item at a lower price. That doesn't bother me; it's actually why I have most of my collection on display in a shop. But then I tried to go get the item in question and I was too tired to figure out how to get in, so I bought it from myself. Maybe I only find this funny because I'm 20% awake. Send coffee.
  • Played for nearly 10 hours straight so far (halp meee......) and got to level 51 (In 10 hours ). But I think that's an okay, considering how many times I stopped hunting to gather more gold (50k in the bank right now, which will stay there for awhile, hopefully. Gots lots of curatives/clothes/etc :chuffed:)

Also got myself a falcon, though I haven't named it because, like..... I'm so confused by it's gender.

This majestic falcon is of medium size, with silver feathers streaked with white and dark charcoal banding across the tail. His breast and the crest of his head are snowy white and unmarred; the colouring creates a masterful camouflage when perched within the snow-capped mountains of his origin. Bright amber eyes miss nothing as he surveys the surroundings with a severe and focused expression.

    A fierce mountain falcon is a humble-looking creature. (3)

    She has 100% health remaining.

She weighs about 2 pounds and 8 ounce(s).

    She is loyal to Daerin.

A fierce mountain falcon is holding:

    Nothing.

     Erm..... Bug or something?

Yeah, looks like it's a she, but whoever set the falcon desc didn't use the falcon_his or whatever they use up there right. Just BUG it (HELP BUGS), should get corrected pretty quick!

Welcome to Achaea by the way, hope you enjoy your stay. :)

Edit: As to what I did today...

Bought an awesome set of windchimes I've been keeping an eye out for for a while, which slowly adds more expense to my decorate-the-manor-with-shinies project. Lot to save up for but will be super awesome when I can finally get it all placed without worrying about people coming in and jacking things (forever).

And while this happened yesterday... I got scammed for the first time in my 8-9 years of playing. :confounded:

There was a non-decay item being sold in a cart in public. Said item was something I had never seen before, and had a bit of Cyrenian-ness to it. I sort of eyed it with Skye for a couple of real days before deciding to treat myself and purchase it. Within 20 minutes or so, it had utterly disappeared, despite my making sure nothing had happened to me and looking through all of my bags. Considering the large amount of spent gold, I was none too happy.

I already issue'd of course, but it was quite disconcerting all the same, and knowing the item is not likely to be returned (though I am sure the gold will be) makes it all the more disappointing.

@Melodie someone put a non-decay resetting item in a cart?
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!"
Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh."
Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."

  • MelodieMelodie Port Saint Lucie, Florida
That's the only thing that makes sense to me. I guess maybe carts, since they act like very contained containers instead of like rooms, will allow resetting items to remain for as long as the cart is up?

I'm not sure on that count, I've never had a cart before today.

@Tecton can non-decay, resetting items be put up for sale in carts? As in, does being in the cart override their 'return to owner' functionality?
Feel like this should be checked and if needed rectified, possibilities for scams with this are practically endless

  • @Melodie that really really sucks. A long time ago, when an item was about to decay it would have no decay time listed, so it looked nondecay. I wonder if that can still happen.

    What was the item, anyway?

    an enamel-inlaid hairbrush
The horse-hair bristles of this hairbrush are arranged in neat brown rows. The back side of the brush has been enamelled with intricate detail, depicting a scene of Cyrene's snow-covered streets.
It weighs about 1 pounds and 0 ounce(s).

The item was in a container in her inventory, but I'm pretty sure if it decayed there'd be a decay message?

  • ShirszaeShirszae Santo Domingo
Might be a wild guess, but are you sure it is not some kind of quest item from the city that someone put in the cart and somehow remained there until someone else bought it?
