I swear those death talismans are worrying me with what they'll do to combat balances.
wat
One talisman acts like a caloric salve but without using salve balance, which alone can cause some upsets.
Crucible currently does some pretty good damage and if used correctly can splat a group. I can definitely see this thing used in Sanctions. Hoping it gets nerfed next classlead
The deathcape, if used right, can allow someone to have 150% increase of max health. I only see this as an issue for someone preparing themselves beforehand to go jump someone.
The quicker behead is only an issue with UW, so any future balance concerns will only be addressed there.
These while small do worry me about the beginning of a slippery slope. If certain perks like this that can affect combat are introduced, then there is a chance for more in the future. This would open the doors of "Get this for better offense/defense" which is just not a nice image for Achaean combat. We already have Arties that enhance speed and damage, I think that is as far as it should go, imo.
talon doesnt apply caloric over freeze. Health is largely moot in pvp due to % based attacks, and it's a 4min length anyway (most fights can last longer). If you're dying to a scythe behead, you're dying to a normal behead.
What is there to worry about, aside from holo/crucible traps?
Don't see how crucible will be too hugely gamebreaking. Will only realistically be able to use one each raid (unless multiple people in a single group has one), and since the owner has to be in the same room as it, chances are they're dying with everyone else.
Talon is crap and has a fairly long cd anyway. Cape/scythe is exactly what Aegoth said.
You don't have to stay in the room with the crucible, just the same area, but if you want to spam room attacks to trigger it then you're going to die (unless you get the rest of your group to do it while you stay safe).
The concept is, I think, fine. Numbers may need to be tweaked but we'll have to wait until we've actually seen it used first.

Never underestimate the players' ability to find ways to abuse things.

Kaillian burns to death at the searing behest of Antonius's soulfire. Kaillian dies gasping for breath, asphyxiated by the power of Caefir Fist Will Rian-Nahundi's kai. Rohalla burns to death at the searing behest of Antonius's soulfire. Rohalla has bled out, slain by the might of Sir Antonius Agarwaen, Inquisitor of Heretics. Rakkaro burns to death at the searing behest of Antonius's soulfire. Rakkaro has been slain by the might of Minister Atalkez Al'Jafri, Exemplar of Truth.
(Order): Deucalion says, "I am quite pleased by all these fiery deaths."
A frenzied cleric screams, "Like more than one halo!"

Surely that should be 'his scythe' ?

Thornspray / crucible traps. The tears will be delicious.

Then again, subjectivity, I guess. It's the first time an artefact like this has been introduced and I don't know how it functions.
