Not counting probably other withdrawals, or unsinking as well as a multitude of other things it could have been.

I assume he means salvage costs. Anyway 10/10 saltpost/masked attack, Exel.  Rants are that way -->

    Edit: ninja'd re salvage
  • No, it scales based on distance to harbour from sunk ship. You, uh, are supposed to salvage from a nearby harbour and then it'll rarely cost over 20k.
  • I salvaged from Orilla. Besides, I don't really care about the gold/sinking.

Just think the irony is funny when someone that's pretty low on the scale of ethics(hi planned duel backstab) is trying to post in regards to getting ganked.

Just to clarify, but that 7K is what remains of the 10K I originally put in there to keep your crew from mutinying, @Exelethril. I've been maintaining that ship for ages, in terms of both gold and food. Yeah, I sunk it to settle my enemy status with the Sartai. I know you don't know much about seafaring, but I sailed it to Thraasi and sunk it right outside the harbour there, thinking that'd be easier and cheaper for you. Ofcourse you had no way of knowing that, but if you had checked salvage prices, you'd have seen Thraasi would've costed way less.

I didn't do it just to bully you, and the gold I took was mine to begin with. I did not kill your crew, nor repeatedly sink the ship. I sunk it once, and for a very specific reason. Just clarifying, not looking to start a forum fight.

Edit: also, I posted that because the timing of the yell and the ferry was funny, like I said.

  • Well, thanks - that's not so bad then. At least let me know IC your reasoning behind doing something like that, just made you look like a scumbag initially.

  • Just replacing tokens on a strider costs about 26.5k Cutter 10k. Then if you don't have a bait bucket there's stores, as well as salvage costs. Salvaging is expensive, and the hour it takes to manually salvage is rarely worth it, especially if the ship is far out or in monster territory.

  • Just going to reiterate what @Kiet said in case it gets lost in the posts.

Salvage fees scale with distance from the salvaging port. It is always cheaper to salvage a ship from the closest man-made harbour. However, there is a cap on salvaging fee so it'll never cost over a certain amount (are we saying 100,000g here?)

Soooo, if you are out sea monster hunting and or hull hits 0 and the sirens start blaring the best thing to do is to head towards your closest port to cut down on salvage costs.
  • AhmetAhmet Wherever I wanna be
Minimum salvage cost (1 room out from harbour) is 10k, last I checked.
    Huh. Neat.

Within ten seconds of that yell:
Far out to sea, you see a passenger-laden ferry, rowed furiously by a powerful and steady ferryman.

A ferry is rowed up to shore, and Mycen, Rangor, and Deladan disembark. The ferryman rowing
immediately shoves off and heads back in the direction he came from.
I'm more amused by the fact that if they'd all dformed they could have just Gared straight to Ulangi, which would have probably been faster than the ferry.

    Cheaper, too.

The following people are members of the dauntless:
Aerek, Atalkez, Aylek, Caitlin, Chris, Dalran, Dunn, Finkle, Jacintha, Jhui, Naliah, Prydwyn,
    Shirszae, and Tecton.

    Game on boys.
  • @Finkle almost had him the other day.
  • @Finkle only lost because @Tecton LoSed while hiding behind his veil, I hear.

    Poor Finkle.

  • I fought Tecton once when he had Dragonbow.

In the midst of being unable to attack him for the majority of the fight (also Gods are just flat immune to hypnosis at all times, OP), he randomly just made me dead. Not that he attacked me, I was trying to attack me and suddenly I was getting "You cannot do that while dead." messages.

    Clearly Dragonbow is broken.

Not trolling, some people have been paying that high. 5 is more normal though.

A number of people I know are happy to pay 10cr per level 1 piece. One offered to pay me 15cr per piece.

I usually sell at 7 to most people, 5 to order-mates who ask.
