    Clearer phrasing for the echo might be "No longer keeping rebounding", if that's the confusion.

    As I understand it, once Santar realized that his Omnipave system had rebounding keepup on, he disabled it.

    I figured that was more surprise that Santar uses Omnipave than confusion over what the echo means, but I could be wrong.
