I'm getting waaaayyy too many people sending me messages about this bloody tongue in Eastern Ithmia over the past month. I'm pretty sure it's always from the one room too.
Maybe it is an earth tongue.

    (just for you, @Wysteria)
Great! Now for my next patrol report I can advise that we're being raided by gigantic mushrooms >_>

I was thinking this, given the description:

I may or may not study mushrooms as a hobby.
"Faded away like the stars in the morning,
Losing their light in the glorious sun,
Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling,
Only remembered for what we have done."

If that's true, then goddammit, it's in my Grove. You think you have it bad?

    Haha, followed almost immediately by:

Sothantos tries to leave, but you block him from moving that way.
Your eyes glaze, and you wander off.
You lose purchase on a giant tortoise.
    You cease blocking the exit.
    The gates of Mhaldor.
A noxious, red-hued fog overwhelms the area with a thick, palpable vapour. Carved into the
mountainside, a massive gatehouse stands a short distance to the east, replete with archer slits and
murder holes. The iron of a portcullis is visible in the top of the gatehouse, ready to bury itself
in the ground below. A thick wooden drawbridge crosses a wide moat, permitting entrance to the
mountain city. Long black chains arc upward towards the mountain from either side of the drawbridge,
disappearing through roughly cut gaps in the mountain's surface. A guardhouse has been shaped from
the mountain to the right of the gates, its entryway dark and foreboding. Wooden boards with iron
spikes driven through them and embedded in the rock beyond cover the building's lone window. The
flags of Mhaldor hang from the top of the gatehouse, prominently displayed for all to see. Some
graffiti has been scrawled here. It reads, "Know ye that there is no truth greater than Evil." A
rune like a lightning bolt has been sketched into the ground here (uruz: heal). A runic totem is
planted solidly in the ground. A countless number of contorted faces, twisted limbs, and surging
torsos have been captured here in a massive bloodsteel shrine dedicated to Sartan. An enormous slab
of volcanic obsidian towers over this area, the regulations of Mhaldor etched upon its face. An
occupied iron gibbet, suspended from a wooden gallows, creaks ominously in the breeze. A ladder of
long, soft leaves comprises a wispy Weaver's Fern along the ground. An enormous slab of volcanic
obsidian towers over this area, the laws of Mhaldor etched upon its face. Hands clenched before
himself in a ready stance, a monk of the Tanjinn appraises the area with a focused gaze. There are 2
knights of the Maldaathi here. There are 2 ominous liches here. There are 2 monolith sigils in 2
groups here. An obsidian eye sigil is here. A black Zarathustran stallion stands stoically here,
muscles shifting beneath his ebon coat. The twisted remains of Hataru lie here. A mortal heart,
still dripping blood is here. A Baalzadeen demon towers over you, filling you with dread.  A huge
statue of the Scimitar of Yen-Sorte stands here, thrusting skywards. Devoto Dragonknight is here. He
wields a Shield of Absorption in his left hand. The Black Dragon Arador's imposing form looms. Droch
Shirszae, Seminarian of Proselytism is here, shrouded. She wields a cavalry shield in her left hand.
You see exits leading east, south, west, and up.
Your attention is grabbed and held by a fascinating butterfly-like rune.
Your limbs lock up in paralysis as you see an inguz rune on a totem.
You spy a fehu rune on a totem.
    Your insomnia has cleared up.
    Micositu wanders in, eyes glazed.
A water weird glides in from the east.
    Tesha wanders in, eyes glazed.
Tesha's eyes uncloud as a wunjo rune heals her blindness.
Tesha's attention is grabbed and held by a nairat rune.
Tesha's limbs lock up as her eyes meet an inguz rune on a totem.
Tesha's eyes close suddenly as she falls asleep.

    Beckon battle.

Got reports of four different people in their own groves with that tongue. You in EI? If it's an Eastern Ithmia thing I'll have to go all IC news posty about it :D

That's worse than me missing to PT during a raid that I wanted to go drink and be a degenerate. I blame @Hataru.

  • A dark overcoat and matching trousers cover the stout form of this burly watchman, his portly frame
belying the musculature hidden beneath. An iron lantern is firmly grasped in one hand, a healthy
flame nestled securely inside the sooty glass walls. His face is a study of alertness, his eyes
gleaming as they sweep back and forth across his surrounds, constantly ready to spot any signs of
trouble. The fingers of his other hand grasp securely around a thick bludgeon. Designed to ward off
intruders, the weapon is a lengthy affair, polished to a high shine but still pitted with flecks of
    aging blood.
A Brighthold watchman has an air of extreme strength.
    He weighs about 220 pounds.
He is loyal to The City of Targossas.
    You see nothing in it.

    'Allo! Wot's all this hullaballoo?

Also, I'm concerned at the watchman's club - he doesn't do proper maintenance. That blood's going to ruin the varnish, I tell you!

I actually have a couple of Nagants that have blood pitting/staining.  Blood is some corrosive stuff!
