  • Generic occult crap =/= Nordic script.

All the mystic BS attached to them, yes.

I always though the Runelore runes were based loosely on the generic occult crap you find on wicca sites.
They are, but rather than "generic occult crap", the runes are an actual alphabet that was used in roughly the 2nd to 8th centuries.

  • HELP CUSTOMISATION says you can't customise an enchanted item. Can you enchant a customised item?
Specifically, if I customise artefact boots, can I still get waterwalking on them?

@Sena wiki strikes again, with build in wiki references. Does it get any better?
    Seriously, are you not impressed!?

Yes, I have customised dexterity boots with the waterwalking enchantment on them, as well as rings with the firelash and firewall enchants on them.

Not entirely sure how it works for regular items that have had the resetting customisation added to them, though. I know that it specifically says to get fullplate augmented before adding resetting, so possibly if you made a pair of regular boots resetting and then tried to get them enchanted it may not work.

I believe the limit on that is just augmenting, as augmenting is a huge risk/reward, and resetting would completely ruin it. Just keep going.

I have a pair of boots customised by silver token with waterwalking. Just can't get the enchantment beforehand.
  • How do you stop getting newcomer notifications?

(House Newcomers): Novice is a new cityless Magi.

  • edited November 2013
You get it because you're a novice aide. It's not optional, so if you're not fond of it, you could gag it or resign.

EDIT: To clarify, you also only get it for classes that your House accepts (including classless, I think)

  • Why was psycombat removed?
  • Are housing upgrades for Househalls the same cost as for out-of-subs houses?
  • Since there's a mount discussion going on in Rants, is there way to see if a mount is invincible?

  • Attack it for a long time. If it doesn't die, it's invincible.

  • Can also tell if you have that magnifying glass from the SoW.

In my experience they are more expensive, but it might vary depending on the specific upgrade.

That they're more expensive, or that it varies?

Does anyone recall how many lessons, as close as possible to the exact number, are needed to get shatter in weaponry? I know it's 1,200 or less, just not an exact number.

  • It's exactly fabled, I think. Or maybe exactly mythical. We had this same conversation like 20 pages back and found the answer.

Can't be mythical, as I know someone with 1,200 lessons in with it.

So basically, anywhere between 913 and ~1100 or so.

Ugh. Can't wait for that weaponry overall, a hundred plus credits for four additional abilities makes me weep.

  • Shatter isn't really worth it for Priest. Maybe in a group fight once more important things are taken care of.

Weaponry definitely is worth it, though.

It's exactly 913 lessons. I know for sure that it's exactly fabled or exactly mythical. I was leaning towards fabled anyways.

I won't be learning it until I finish riding, and the only other main skill to finish besides weaponry is (partly done) tattoos. I just like having goals because it helps motivation, and I'd like to test some thing with shatter it combination of other things!

    @Santar, thank you!

Code says Mythical. If someone has it and hasn't spent the requisite lessons, they're either mistaken on how many lessons they've spent in weaponry, or they're under the influence of a divine favour or some other bonus to their skill levels.
