  • Grove summon? Drop a monolith, supposedly. That'll delay the summon (but not outright stop it).

    Don't fight in the forests.
    Huh. Neat.
  • Don't fight in forests seems to be the only way, honestly.

  • "Don't fight in forests"

"HERE'S THIS NEW MECHANIC TO DEFILE SHRINES!!! It has a windup time, but surely that won't be an issue right?"

    That just seems kinda dumb.
  • Yeah, kinda can't desecrate a shrine if you've got to move every time someone starts a summon.
He is a coward who has to bring two friends as backup to jump people hunting.

  • Become a forest enemy and then you are also passively damaged 10% of your health every 5 seconds or so. Woo hoo.

  • Nerf forests.

I get why Mhaldor exterms so much now.

  • So more or less.

"Want to desecrate a shrine to Gaia or Artemis?  Be someone who can exterminate, or just flat out burn the entire forest.  We don't care."

Adding an entire extra line of defense to desecration, ontop of the already inane amounts is kind of silly.  If the process of desecrating in the area could turn off summon/forest defense for the time it's going on (or a friggin achaean day), it'd be MUCH less bullshit than it is now.  Because, as it stands.  Getting yoinked from blackforest all the way to fucking Northern Ithmia, onto a totem, and instantly killed, if you don't precisely time your desecrate after killing literally all of them, is bullshit.  And it does have to be all, because if even ONE druid lives.  They can just keep harassing you until everyone is up.

    @Makarios / @Nicola

    Thoughts on the matter?
  • Judging by my past experience with Druids in IRE games, the thoughts are probably something like "Druids need to have that insane amount of area control because it would compromise their RP if they were not ridiculously overpowered in the forest, have you considered maybe just completely avoiding the third of the world that is a forest or jungle?"
  • Ahmet said:
I'd simply like to point out that only 6.5% of rooms are Forest or Jungle.
I suspect that far higher than 6.5% of rooms containing shrines to Nature Gods are forest or jungle, though.
  • Bring multiple people capable of desecrating and drop a mono. Then they don't know who to summon and it takes forever because of the malus on summon speed from mono.

Or since youre Targossian, have a priest shield the person desecrating after it's initiated.

  • Wait.

    Does shield stop that shit.
  • Does grounding vibe stop Grove summon?

  • Shield stops grove summon from starting yeah.

    Really?! GDI

Considered rolling a mhaldorian just to exterm fucking everywhere out of frustration.

  • Only from starting. It doesn't prevent it from finishing if you shield after it starts.

Given how Targ refuses to fight Eleusis for the vast majority of the time, it's understandable for you to not know.
    - (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place."
    - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely."
    - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")."
    - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish."
    - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."

When Eleusis has a penchant for bringing upwards of 12 people, when the other side's group has like 4. It's not too farfetched to think people won't enjoy fighting you.

Or using guards when you already have 3x the people defending.
  • Or spamming Grove summon when you already have a larger group.

  • Well, to be fair @Omor.

They brought their group about 2-3x our size.

    They lost.

So the spam grove summon began. :dissapointed:

4v12? Hope y'all brought more than that.

  • it was... 5v12 or 6v12.  It was pretty out of our favour, since most of our folks got pulled out before I started telling people to move it whenever the summon message came up

Somebody's salty. I'm commenting on not knowing that shield will prevent summon from starting, that's all. If you want to rant, the sewer is that-a-way. :)

I think you and I both know your comment was a little more than that. Don't play dumb, that's Rangor's job.

You would be thinking very wrong, then. Don't look for insults where none exist.

  • Is anyone familiar with how the built-in serverside delays work? I can't tell if it's my latency in getting the lines, or rng, or just what it's supposed to be, but I'm reliably taking .25 seconds to cure afflictions. Has it always been that slow?
  • AhmetAhmet Wherever I wanna be
Compare the timestamps on the prompt you're getting from the server to get an accurate estimate of how long between the affliction and you curing, maybe? I don't know if it's changed, but recently it has seemed pretty slow. Maybe that's just me, though.
    Huh. Neat.
