That is always how it has worked, which is a nice compromise for those who like having control over the ambience messages. No one sees you turning the perfume vial, they only see the perfume message, so that way you get the flavour without being uncontrollably spammy to everyone in the room every so often.

Is there a way to gag the avatar announcements???  Something friendly for those of us that log in with our phones.

You can gag them clientside pretty easily, but how you do that will depend on your client.

Oh, I know this, but my phone client won't allow me to gag. There is a way to gag deaths via server, I feel there should be a way to gag avatar announcements.

If there is none, I have no problem ideaing it. Just wanted to check first.

The text for regen rings is ambiguous. Does it mean that rings of the same type don't stack (ie two health or two mana) or that in addition to this, they don't stack across types (ie if you have both kinds, only one works) ?

You can't stack rings of the same type. You can have both health and mana regen rings.

Accentato(Bard tunesmith that adds mental-aff scaling damage to jab/slash) DOES scale with int and collar against players, but DOES NOT scale with int and collar against mobs. I can think of no reason why this could be intentional. Bug or Achaea quirk?

Separate question. Do mobs have resists of any sort, or does every mob take the same damage from the same attack every time?

Against denizens it's just a flat % of your jab damage unless it's changed again, so it scales with strength which is weird.

What could possibly be the rationale behind it being intentional?

Before anyone says something about too many buffing artefacts for a single class, I'll shut that down.

An example of a class that had that issue is Imperian's Diabolist(before a terrible rework, it was Achaea's Apostate). The primary method of bashing was DAEGGER STAB, which scaled off INT, INT-Damage, and Artifact Daegger. This triple-scaling put artifacted Diabs at a very high bashing DPS.

Bard's damage however is split between two hits, one of which scales with STR, one of which should scale with INT and INT-damage. The STR bonus does not impact Accentato's damage, and the INT/Collar won't impact the JAB portion.

I've been told Monk's bashing combo is punch/kick/kick. The way Bard currently works is like if Monk's kicks were modifiable by STR, but the punch didn't scale with anything at all, doing the same damage for every Trans Monk from 10STR to 20STR. Doesn't really make any sense.

@Kafziel From my notes on the day when I tested that, I was doing "Kick: 18%, Jab: 54%, Jab-Accentato: 69%" without L2 str, "Kick: 21%, Jab: 62%, Jab-Accentato: 77%" with L2 str. If Accentato scaled with STR, the L2 str jab-accentato would be expected to be around 79%. What I actually saw was that it did 15% on top of Jab, regardless of STR.

Pretty sure it scales with rapier damage (and therefore strength) in pvp, too

Curiously, and slightly related, I've noticed that the +3 extra strength from jera and fury (bringing me from 14 to 17) do absolutely nothing to improve my scimitar doubleslash against mobs. I've tried against all sorts of different mobs with varying levels of health, so it can't just be a matter of being under a single percent.
