Is anyone else experiencing completely crippling lag? It's not my internet because everything else is loading fine. I don't think it's mudlet because all my commands for Svo go through as they should, but it doesn't seem to be the server either because no one I've talked to is having the same issue. I haven't had lag this bad since we crammed 200+ people into one room for Bal'met.
For reference of what I mean by crippling:

The bright sun shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth. A rune resembling a horse
has been sketched into the ground here (raido: return location). A runic totem is planted solidly in
the ground.

There are 2 imperial guardsmen here. Standing atop a raised marble dais an imposing cast-iron forge
dominates, fire and heat radiating from this massive shrine to the Smith. Lying flat on the ground
is a key-shaped sigil. There are 2 venerable monks here. A handsome bartender mixes drinks here.
Rapier glinting in the light, a dashing young troubadour fences with an imagined foe. A runic totem
is planted in the ground. A small, well polished metal plaque is mounted on the northern wall. A
sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground. An obsidian eye sigil is here.
A shimmering orb lies here, illuminating the surrounding area with a slight glow. Spreading its
majestic golden wings, a giant eagle searches the ground with piercing eyes. There are 2 dark grey
iron chairs with a covering of white fabric sitting next to a dark grey iron table here. A dark grey
iron table is here.

I found that deleteFull() caused me 5-10s spikes everywhere that had a lot of stuff/people in it. Raiding was a nightmare for a few weeks. Disabling that group of triggers fixed the problem but hello spam again. Weird problem
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
91 is only halfway to dragon? I didn't realize the curve was that steep, holy crap.
If you're familiar with Runescape, it's almost the exact same math. In Runescape, 91 is halfway to 99. The main difference is that Runescape has over 20 skills, many of those taking even longer than Dragon.
Is it just me, or are the artie robes of the grand magi cheaper than what most people paid for it during the reckoning?
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
Yo @Tecton@Sarapis. I know forum complaints generally get a healthy compromise when they're warranted.
I'll quote the original announce from the reckoning:
"To give an example, one of the talismans is a new version of the Robes of the Magi, bestowing a 1/3rd reduction in willpower usage as well as mana usage. If you/your city are supporting Maklak, when you complete the talisman, you'll receive Robes of the Ice Mage, which will not be available after this promotion. If you're supporting Yudhishthira, you'll receive Robes of the Fire Mage."
Now, I understand this can mean "Robes of the Ice Mage" and not Robes of the Grand Magi, but man, this felt like a pseudo-auction artie. I priced this bad boy like I would any other unique, limited artefact and paid a hefty 3.5k credits for it. The only reason I got it for 3.5k credits was because it was a friend, too. He had an offer for 5.5k credits. The Ice Mage customization is not anywhere near worth the extra price.
Even if I had bought them for 5.5.k credits I would not be able to trade them in at that price to rebuy these new ones.
I'll be happy with 3 solutions:
1. GIMME 1000 CREDITS!
2. Make these new robes stack with the conclave robes for the WP part: 2/3 WP reduction, hello!
3. Meet somewhere in the middle and make the conclave robes worth 1/2 WP reduction, because they were supposed to be a limited artefact.

Me too. I would be happy with 1000 credits because i paid 3500+cr too to get them on the basis that they were a limited promotional offer.

Adding my influential voice to this. I agree with Jhui. This is a slap in the face to those of us who made purchases under the assumption that grand magi is unique and limited edition. Some compensation would be lovely
1000 credits refund is still a slap in the face considering a lot of you probably bought credits just so you could finish the set. Not counting the time involved for finishing the sets. Hopefully they think of something fair to account for all the work and effort put into these by those who bought them. Just glad my work bonus was slow that month do I didn't have the spare cash.
Does anyone know how much "army experience" you gain from destroyed/defending and adventures killed during a sanctioned raid with regard to army ranking.

Angel aura (priests) can be targeted at another player of choice, no matter what condition they may be in (prone, afflicted, webbed, whatever). I suspect you're likely just having fun facing the Targossian inquisition.

When the gods created man they allotted to him death, but life they retained in their own keeping. As for you, Gilgamesh, fill your belly with good things; day and night, night and day, dance and be merry, feast and rejoice. Let your clothes be fresh, bathe yourself in water, cherish the little child that holds your hand, and make your wife happy in your embrace; for this too is the lot of man."
Hi everybody! I didn't see an introduction category so I posted a short introduction here, I hope that's fine. If it isn't, please move it.
I'm not new to the MUDing world in general, but I am new to Achaea. It's great to be part of this community (which is much bigger than my old one!).
I have a couple questions though.
How is Occultist for hunting in Achaea?
What traits are the best for an Occultist?
I have 16 intelligence because I took the intelligence specialization for Siren as well as the Occultists house icon. Is intelligence fine for Occultists? I used to be a Magi.
How does combat with other plays work as an Occultist?
And any extra tips that you guys could PM me or put here! Thank you so much
Edit: Haha what's this silly avatar of mine :disagree:
Hunting: There was a pretty big overhaul of hunting damage output for classes recently, so Occultist should be about the same damage-wise as pretty much any other non-weapon using class. Tarot has some decent utility for getting around, healing back up after fights, etc. but there's the cost of having to spend time inscribing. Your ability to stand and take hits might be on the low side, I'm not really sure.
Traits: Probably best to check with somebody in your House first, but I'd say quick-witted (faster equilibrium recovery), the intelligence trait (Brilliance, I think it's called), then... something else.
Intelligence: Absolutely fine for Occultist. The only other option that would give you any benefit is Constitution, but I'd stick with intelligence. It should boost your bashing damage (warp scales with intelligence), and also affects a fair amount of things for PvP too.
Combat (PvP): How it works isn't really a quick question, you'll probably want to try to grab somebody in game if you're interested in learning that aspect. I'll very briefly say that it's a momentum-based class that deals afflictions, aiming to get a certain amount on the target to unlock more powerful abilities (as opposed to the more standard affliction goal of giving a set of afflictions that prevent the target from curing entirely). It's decently strong in a lot of situations when played well.
Oh sorry, wasn't being clear. Like, from level 1 to level 110 and the experience it takes per level.
I have no idea how accurate it is, but someone posted a chart on the old forums using the exp amounts needed in Aetolia (which might be similar, with both being IRE games/set in alternate realities of the same world or something)
@Cynthea I was told while in the Occultists house to specialize and trait for intelligence (By Jinsun, I think?), and it helps a lot for hunting (though con might help more, no idea). Intelligence also ties into Occultist RP a little more imo.

Achaean xp is different though. Went looking for the chart I found a long time ago, but couldn't find the original. Just the part of it I kept (75-100). These are cumulative figures.

I'm glad I didn't buy it during the Reckoning now.
Now I know how much it'll be, know I'll get it, and can save up for it if I want it.

I'm sure they will just say that the "won't be available after thus promo" refers to the special customization of said item
You could pay 50 credits and customize them yourself to be similar to that. I doubt that that's it.
Me too. I would be happy with 1000 credits because i paid 3500+cr too to get them on the basis that they were a limited promotional offer.

Mana sip ring or robes of the magi?
Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh."
Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
Tharvis said:
Robes.
And would probably go mana regen ring if you're still a magi, since it helps more in retardation situations.
Question: does the new talisman thingy stop dragon Gare?
It would if it still existed (it was discontinued and anyone who bought one got a refund).
Lol, the two artefacts I was considering... wonder why I haven't brought myself back from dormancy yet.
How can you be prone and shielded? Came across this a couple of times the past few days

Does anyone happen to have a table of how much experience it takes to reach level 108(-110)?

I don't, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could grind up a fresh character to 95ish for the same effort.
