So I haven't really played for the last couple of months, but I have an extra point of strength that I can't account for. Is there anything left over from last month's event that would explain that or am I bugged somehow?

Oho, maybe you guys got icons and its time for some fun. Otherwise can't find another explanation, nothing should have changed.
Some people just don't know their own strength....
You're totally right. I think I may have redone my traits the last time I logged on, then promptly forgotten about it (this is what happens when you don't log in for two months, and change your traits essentially never despite having a 1000 credit artefact to be able to do so), so the extra point I wasn't expecting to have is from that.
Does anyone have a quick list of what all the relics do?
The currently-known Relics are:
Earthshaker A giant hammer that can smash the ground and knock everyone in it and surrounding rooms down.
Lifegiver A ring that functions like an additional starburst tattoo.
The Dragon Bow A bow that shoots exploding arrows of dragonfire.
The Mindring A ring that lets the wearer command others.
Paincatcher A shield that absorbs some incoming damage, and reflects some of that damage back on the attacker.
Soulfinder A small dirk that allows the user to store a bit of peoples' souls after which they can be easily located.
The Golden Braid A rope of purest gold that will see your wealth increase.
Bloodletter A very fast scimitar that will cause greatly enhanced bleeding damage.
Luckbinder A pendant that increases your luck.
The Gauntlet of the Roaring Wave Created for Caspian, the now-dead God of the Oceans, this Relic will blast people out of a room with the power of the seas.
The Eye of Discord Though not literally the eye of Discord, this Relic reflects its unpredictable spirit, and will randomly grant and remove large amounts of health and mana from the possessor.
The War Veil Despite appearing to be only a veil when unworn, this is one of the most unique and valuable pieces of armour, of any kind, in existence, and may be worn by anybody, of any class.
Huskmaker This spear is used to create magically-animated (not undead) husks of dead adventurers that may be commanded by the wielder.
The Equilibrium Gem A gem that substantially increases the rate of equilibrium recovery for the bearer.
The Rageblade A longsword that grows faster as the wielder's health decreases.
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
Not sure if this is the best place to ask but I have been trying to get the whisperstone talisman pieces for a couple weeks now but it seems people who have the pieces are either just not logging on or they just don't want to give them up. I know there is enough out there to make it so if anyone has them other than the top or bottom please contact me. I really appreciate the help.

Sounds like a bug. When I had @Ruth lock the Maldaathi shop when @Rip got lucky (but stupid enough to give me time to get it locked), @Strata couldn't get in with a key.

yeah that's the point, I scried who stole the key a moment before I locked it, a few minutes later he got in anyway

Non-newbie newbie question time: Is there any place where I can see what the range is for the stats of the different weapons and armor for them to be normally considered 'good'?
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
There's been some bad luck with the ship trades recently. Costs more to get less, and rarely having anything worth doing.
Originally I had ship traded for bird to sell and gryphon. It ended up costing Me around 10 (at 6.5k)credits just to get the items for the trade and post costs. Then there's time, risk from pirates, and other thing that make that price go up.
I had one offer on the bird and that was "how much do you want" "15 cr" "that's too rich, I'll find someone to sell it to me for 5cr"
I ended up selling my old mount and keeping the gryphon. Still have the other bird stowed away, waiting for a home (adopt don't shop!)
The birds haven't had much value for a long time, unfortunately, unless you can put them in a shop to wait for a buyer. Of course the gryphon has more utility, but prices on those were pretty low until recently too (presumably because the market was saturated), and I'm still dumbfounded as to why their sale value has climbed so high. Whatever the reason, it's a boon for sailors.
Does the hellcat pet actually have custom/random emotes?
I've had one for awhile now, and have never seen any.
Just watched mine for three hours, no random room emotes. I ended up bugging it. Besides, its other reactions seem to be copies of the slightly older minipet a brown fossa.
I also know the dainty ice sprites have no reactions whatsoever like other minipets do. I've tried bugging this 2 or 3 times with no response yet, but they fixed the dingo and dirangi cub almost immediately after I bugged those for not functioning like other minipets.

Prism tattoo takes you to the target after some delay. A monolith increases the delay but does not stop it.
Portals (either via wand or magi class ability and I think some forestal classes have it too) create a portal. I forget how monoliths work (whether they stop the portal from being created, or just stop people from going through it) but monoliths can outright prevent them. Furthermore since the portal is created, it's possible for the target to enter the portal as well... or even someone completely different. It just sits there until someone enters it or it dies.
Anyone know the stats on gleam? Like, how much does it take to raise dex and by how much, how long does the bonus last, how much is an overdose, etc.? I've searched a little, but haven't found anything other than confirmation of the effects.
P.S. I'd really like to avoid getting into a discussion about whether gleam is 'good for the game' or anything, just want to know if anyone's pinned down the mechanics.

On a more serious note, single points of DEX are fairly inconsequential, but maybe a serpent can give you the details, like speed differences and such. Or @Sena
For garrote, dex makes a big difference, moreso than str/int for other classes. But I don't know the full details of how it works, and I've only actually seen up to 15 dex, so for all I know 15 could be the cap and 16 will give no further benefit.
For dstab, 1 point of dex is 0.1s balance. There's a cap, but it's higher than 16 dex unless you have an artefact dirk.
For other stuff (flay, phase, pickpocket) I'm not sure.
I've always heard that it's a 33% chance to prevent you from moving, but we've all seen logs where many repeated attempts to move failed. I did a very simple probability analysis on my "spar" with Aedin, and what I got was out of 37 valid attempts to move while in piety (have bal, eq) 30 of those attempts failed, with the highest repeat rate of 12 failed attempts.
There's a 17/10,000,000 chance of a 33% proc Piety stopping 12 times in a row. Does that sound right, or am I looking at this in totally the wrong way.
Also, only one of the attempts did this (yes I restanced afterwards):

@Nemutaur: That was my first thought, but I checked and it's not that.

What's the difference between a prism tatoo and the wand of portals?
Prism is in area, wand is continent wide

They don't!
Come join the Achaea discord!
I thought help gleam gave the numbers.
The only number given is "In the case of serious gleam addicts, withdrawal can take up to twenty five Achaean days of playing time."
Is the difference between 15 DEX and 16 DEX huge for serpent?
