  • Does he have an SoA?

    (Party): Mezghar says, "Stop."
  • SoA likely. Eats AXK but not BBT.

So I have been away for a while. And I also heard that axekick was nerfed a little. But wtf happened here?!

/edit: Ignore the limbcounter. Its there, but I never use it.
You tanked 7 AXKs from Proficy that day, remember?
  • AXK damage is getting nerfed again these leads too. Wouldn't lean on it over BBT for long.

  • edited April 2016
Does BBT still count as an killshot(outside of damage) if hit a certain amount of times?
  • Yes. Four BBTs in a row, or three with bruised ribs.

  • Bruh, I don't even think I was playing when that log was produced.

    Damn.

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
  • I think you posted the wrong link.

    Pretty hilarious Florentino crying, though.

  • I predict Piety slow prep into a one shot.

Wow. Never seen anyone fight as much of a bitch as you. No wonder Rangor enemied you.

    Sent By: Florentino on 4/19/2:31
Yeah, that's the point, you stood in rites the entire time and never fought without icewall.

(To Florentino): What am I suppose to do against monk and dragon? You're MoW and you didnt just raise a firewall. Please stop being mad.
    Sent By: Florentino on 4/19/2:32
Firewall isn't going to help me walk out of piety to bite you a second time after leg break.
    Sent By: Naliah on 4/19/2:32
(To Florentino): Exactly. Brazier could help though. Gotta consider your options.
    Sent By: Florentino on 4/19/2:33
You seriously think I don't know to use brazier? 4s eq (no diadem here), no way I'll get a second bite off that.

  • What happened to that piety classlead anyways?

  • What's the problem with piety? Does it proc too often? More than grave hands?
He is a coward who has to bring two friends as backup to jump people hunting.

  • Report #19

Submitted by: Anonymous      Status      : Submitted
Skill       : Devotion       Ability     : Piety
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Problem:
piety/gravehands/peels are solid abilities when used offensively, but they are a nightmare to
balance around defensively.  Some classes require proning and then executing a sequence that takes X
amount of time to even have a shot at a kill.  Static room hinderance makes some finishers nearly
impossible to pull off, especially if they have no way to stop tumble.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Solution #1:
Make piety/gravehands/peels have a lower chance of success if the caster is not in the same room
    with them
    Solution #2:
Make piety/gravehands/peels keep the same functionality for the first attempt to leave them, but
make the 2nd attempt be a guaranteed bypass (so the hinderance is essentially equivalent to leaping
over a wall, but better cuz can be stacked with a wall).  This would help balance LoS into
    hands/piety as well.
    Solution #3:
some combination of 1 and 2, because those jabronis have been babied too long.

    Report #103
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Submitted by: Anonymous      Status      : Submitted
Skill       : Tattoos        Ability     : New
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Problem:
Gravehands, Piety, Peels and Hamstring are all extremely potent offensive tools, as they are
intended to be. The problem that this classlead seeks to address is that they are also some of the
strongest defensive tools in the game as well, as they make attempts to chase tumbling foes fail
most of the time, wasting entire prep setups over RNG. This classlead will attempt to solve this
problem while keeping their offensive nature intact.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Solution #1:
Introduce a new tattoo called the Dagger tattoo. This tattoo would have a 2 room range. If the
target is not protected by the Cloak defence, then this tattoo will teleport the user directly to
them, bypassing all forms of room hinder, the Hamstring affliction, and monolith sigils on either
end. The cost of this tattoo would be 1.5s of EQ, which - unlike brazier - is quick enough to be
worth using, but also slower than Leap to balance out its advantages. The Killer Ink trait should
    lower the cost to 1.25s.
    Solution #2:
Make Gravehands ineffective when attempting to move towards the Necromancer. Make Piety completely
ineffective without a Devotion user present, repurposing Warding to slow entry into a room. Make
Peels non-functional without a Jester in-room to trick you into it. Make Hamstring not affect Leap,
mounting, and similar abilities without the Blademaster present to interfere.
    Solution #3:
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The classleads being referenced, I imagine.

Both still keyed as "Submitted" it would seem.

Been learning a decent bit lately, I think I did okay here... Still not really sure what new magi does :# - I do know pummel hurts though. Being able to timeflux straight off the bat seems a little silly :p

I used to keep fashion count showing on the prompt too.
  • @Naliah used her skills? What a bitch!

    I don't even. :D
  • How rude. It's like a serpent using pinshot. It's just not on

  • It's not like Piety/Gravehands are some new thing. Did people just stop working around them or something? Sounds like Florentino is just being lazy.

People getting frustrated by a Tirac/Santar style of fighting isn't a new thing, either. Sure, it's your ability, but slow prepping and running out of piety is annoying as fuck/not fun. I just wouldn't fight that style instead of blowing up about it, but whatever.

Piety/Gravehands slow prep is not new and has never had counters. If players don't play the classes, then shit gets forgotten.

Could just be fair and buff all room hinder to that level. Then just kind of ween the classes without these moves out of the game.

@Naliah - if you have the option of doing envenom curare/smash x instead of doing envenom x/smash mid, it does more damage btw

Also, I challenge you to be a best of 5

Edit : Will also give myself a self-rune handicap if you promise not to piety the entire area and run around for an hour like in the Eleusian rampage that Rangor was in.

That's a different take on it.

If you relapse impatience instead of asthma and time things right, you can avoid things like fitness or bloodboil by jinxing anorexia/whatever stops their active cure.
  • The classlead about piety ignores the fact that nairat and noose do the same thing.

It also seems to misunderstand that the defensive aspect of piety/gravehands goes hand in hand with its weakness of immobility. You can't chase those classes well if they run, but they can't effectively chase you if you run either, unlike Occultist and Alchemist which have mobile hinder.

So, there is a trade-off, and it can't just be made so it doesn't prevent chasing as suggested without making it worse than tentacles in every way. Similarly, you can't really attack paladin/infernal's hinder without also changing runie's nairat, which allows the exact same style.
