I think some mild frustration with jesters seems par for the course by way of attitudes, but thank you.
  • If you wanna beat @Talysin just go 2h.

Maybe for others, but I always held you to a higher bandwagoning standard.

    Or BM :)

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
  • Psh, I do fine against BM. The problem is I get greedy :disappointed:
  • Go alchie. Mobile apostate ftw.

    Or just be me.

  • A husk of Talysin's eyes gleam as you are butchered with a wicked blow.

You are no longer known for acts of infamy.

i dont get why we have these things. there a free win with no counter.

This is one of the worst forms of special snowflake RP I've ever seen. Thanks for going to another city to do it!
  • They didn't even do any damage by the looks of it

Spam's pretty good, fry it up, slap a piece of sharp cheddar on top. Mmn. But, Treat is so much better.

(Also, spamming so good, but not as good as deflect)

You don't really need an affliction tracker, just watch what they cure. If they eat goldenseal/plumbum after you deadeyes paralysis/impatience, then it's obvious what stuck. People tend to get into a button/alias mashing frenzy because fights give a pretty big adrenaline rush if you aren't experienced (this isn't an insult, it just happens to a lot of people). Getting an affliction tracker doesn't really help you other than superficially - but paying attention to what they cure on the fly increases your adaptability a lot. It's something that comes with practise.

That is the best advice I have ever seen anyone else give about affliction combat. Ever. And yeah, I remember getting adrenaline rushes from combat. It's what made it so addicting... I don't really fight much nor care about outcomes enough nowadays to feel that sudden rush.

Why did you use vardrax with the devastate legs? One other question, did you break his chest before impale/disembowel or does cracked ribs provide extra damage when doing impale/disembowel?
  • edited February 2015
Vardrax is a sekrit. No broken torso, just low health sensitive dsb. I haven't asked Oren how low she was, but I'm going to assume pretty low
  • You can't outrift while impaled. With a kelp stack including sensitivity, and vardrax, you have a high chance of them not curing sensitivity due to: if they eat kelp, 1/3 chance (sensitive/asthma/clumsy) of them curing sensitive and then addiction depletes them of all kelp so no more kelp eats. You don't even really need a kelp stack because relapsing sensitivity due to torso stacks does almost the same thing. So that's why the vardrax is there pre impale.
  • Jovolo ruined mah sekrit! But yeah. It's a neat little trick to attempt to guarantee sensi dsb
  • 2H looks fun. I might have to come back and try it when I have expendable income once more. Blows DB out of the water, and S&B is far too mainstream.

Note to readers/peanut gallery: this strategy in general does not guarantee a sensi DSB, due to deafness.   If you prio hawthorn appropriately (or use Kai deaf etc properly) this won't be an issue for you.  May also want to be more cautious of just sitting around with a ginseng+kelp stack with leg(s) prepped.

although: if you go into the impale with zero kelp and already have sensi, you're boned - but only due to (bad) previous curing decisions.
  • Notice I said attempt to guarantee, bub. Attempt being the key word in it. Anywho. I'm gonna meander over here and put you back on the ignore script thing.

"attempt to guarantee".  Got it.  All of the time, some of the time.

Sorry if I offended you or anyone trying to be helpful.
  • It wasn't offensive...

Yeah =/ I have no idea who it is either.  Forum alt brigade, I assume.  The internet dialect and weird assumption that addiction/sensi DSBs are somehow a "secret" kinda limit it down... although not speculating, of course (because I don't care).

  • Oh.  Speculation no longer required, and no surprise indeed.  Sigh.

  • Nerds!

Talysin couldn't handle the mortal world after losing to me, apparently.
