    If getting back to the mainland quickly is important enough to use a single use item that takes several days' worth of bashing to obtain, and you don't have a token of Charybdis, I don't see a huge problem with it...

  • Just made one. It's hold and count down. As long as it's in your inv it counts down and lets you fly over ocean tiles. people without orbs can follow if they can fly. I assume hoist works as well. You can fly over the ocean and gare back 500 times with one orb. You can't disembark a ship in the middle of the ocean (WEAK!).

    You could get a 2-3 trips to Zanzi from Mysia. A few to Lothos from Minos, cross back and forth from Colchis and Umbrin or Ilyrean and Suliel or a few trips to Prin from Meropis. Getting to any other island with a single orb isn't going to happen and if you REALLY want to leave a ship on an island to return and bash you can use the bronze token from the SoW every hour. Unlike the once a day limit for normal tokens.

    Gonna be honest, the real question is what happens when you're in the middle of the ocean and the orb runs out :P

    Actually, if I recall, it's not the drowning that kills you, it's the slamming into the ocean surface at high speed that does it. Don't quite recall though. Maybe it's the sharks.

    Speaking of talismans, these pets better spit atlatls and poop transoceanic orbs for how bad their grind is.  I won't even mention how bad the headdress grind is! This is brutal!

  • I went pretty stingy with these vs. the Dragon Talismans, and, of course, there are far far less mobs to bash to get them.

    That's honestly what I'd prefer to see with talismans. Make pieces valuable in and of themselves. Especially for one-use consumables.

  • I wish they were more rare, were never announced, and where and from what they dropped were unpredictable from the player point if view, so players could investigate their new discoveries instead of just suddenly knowing where to find new shiny objects, how to use them, and who your have to kill to get them.
