In cities that respect law and freedom of choice we tend to get stuck tolerating troublemakers and those who drag society down with them because they technically haven't done anything wrong or illegal.
Hey, we respect 'law' and 'freedom of choice' plenty. They're free to choose what they do and I'm free to hit them with our law if they screw up our rather broad guidelines.
@Kaevan Haha, quite true, unfortunately I do not have the option to lop people's heads off or otherwise kill them in horrible ways, as much as I would love to.
That could have all been explained so much more simply.
We induct everyone, make them work for us for a while, and if they are stupid we cast them out.
That is also why we unenemy idiots. They pay us gold then invariably do something dumb and get enemied again, so we're at no loss.
This is actually what I tried to do in Shallam.
I don't see the point at asking for super high penalties (like Tanris would be a billion or something), might as well just put them on the no way in hell list. But some people just can't help themselves and will get themselves re-enemied soon enough, might as well make the city some easy ducats.
@Trey, for all kinds of awesome and total amazingness. You're the best.
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."
@Kayeil, words cannot truly describe what I am feeling right now. You're beautiful, loving, generous, thoughtful and the most wonderful friend that a person could have.
To give a gift like the one you gave to me.. I truly have no words and only lots of happy tears.
I love you very much!

This large square box is covered with glossy red paper. A white satin bow is wrapped around it,
trimmed with a snipping of mistletoe and a cluster of holly berries, and the entire thing is just
begging to be opened.
It has 15 months of usefulness left.
It weighs 10 ounce(s).
It bears the distinctive mark of Makesh (a denizen).
A Logosmas gift box is holding:
"steel312443" a group of 500 steel bars
"leather317312" a group of 300 strips of leather
Think of all the kinky things you can do with that leather.
Or one step up: Imagine all the kinky things he could forge with all that steel and leather…(totally not thinking Voldo from Soul Calibur here. Ew)
"Faded away like the stars in the morning, Losing their light in the glorious sun, Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling, Only remembered for what we have done."
Summoned by Lord Neraeos. Best Logosmas gift in years!
@Ravien's letter and my protege's stocking gifts ("I got some gifts, so i distributed to friends.") were heartwarming too.
Jeaallloous.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
@Aurora! Absolutely Amazing! and coming from such a super spoilt ex-Phaestean that is a real compliment.
While my mind was made up that I would move Draekar fully behind the new-Good I had no idea just how quickly I would be swooned off the fence and into service.
Light and the way it is being presented is absolutely amazing, everything I could have hoped it would be and more. I don't actually think Draekar is good enough to hold it up right now, but I am certainly inspired to commit to making Draekar better for this new cause. This is the most engaging thing Good has had in all my time playing achaea.
How are all the other cities doing? Everything seems to be going well in mhaldor for once. Leadership seems to be finally unified. Plus we finally got sartan's order back.
Unification under one divine is working out pretty well. Stature gained in any previous mhaldorian order has been abolished, which allows for a great new starting ground.

I enjoyed the party @Amunet, though my apologies to everyone for my persistent typos and lack of focus, I am fighting a terrible cold and should of probably just went to bed!
Thanks, guys. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves, and I'm glad I managed to pull it all together - I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do so in time, thanks to illness in the family and other OOC obstacles. I owe a lot to @Lianca and @Reine, without whose help I may not have managed quite so well. And thank you to @Vayne, @Verily, @Cinya, @Dunn, @Mathonwy, @Jarrod, @Corbeaux, @Talonia, @Valeo, @Ulisia, @Sohl, @Sybilla, @Manifest, and whoever else showed up - I feel like I'm missing a few!
Oh, yes, @Trasiva. Best, if not most inadvisable instance of gatecrashing ever, hah.
Oh, right, and @Orklanishkal. Can't forget the text-husband, even if he was two hours late.
My avatar is an image created by this very talented gentleman, of whose work I am extremely jealous. It was not originally a picture of Amunet, but it certainly looks a great deal like how I envision her!
@Halos, I wish you weren't an enemy so you could have come. Soth, Silas, and Melodie, too. Frienemies are so much more interesting than regular enemies, but game mechanics and anti-fraternization rules make it so difficult.

@Amunet and the others involved - I wound up accidentally passing over preparing dinner this evening in favour of attending that party and what followed. No regrets!

It would be exactly like old Hashan but 500% better.
(I want this all in writing beforehand.)
