@phaestus for being easily the best divine I've ever interacted with. It's the little things like the coal that appeared in a christmas letter. Thank you more for the forge!
(Blades of Valour): He just has that Synbios Swagger enough said. (Blades of Valour): Draekar says: "Synbios if sunbeams sparkle off that I'll kill you where you stand."

I honestly am happy about the new changes to the death cut scene. As a Thothian player it is fairly awesome and solves a lot of problems on how and when Thoth takes souls from the mortal plane to the Soulrealms in the eyes of a majority of people.
Now the conversation will be a lot easier to deal with.

So a big rave on my part for that decision.
The only thing that I wish was there is Thoth looking at you and taking a moment to decide whether or not it's your time. As-is, he explains that only he can make that decision, but then just unequivocally rezzes you.

You got a forge!?!
No but I'm designing 5... what it'll take to buy our way out of this fiscal cliff since someone locked Yen out of the treasury.
Raves for @Deucalion and @Aurora for everything they are doing now. They are noticing everything and probably some of the better God players we've seen in 200 yrs. Only @Phaestus used to do that sort of thing with us.

They have been. The hard part is deciding which order to join!
I have to throw in my own rave for the recent Nihilist raids/raiders in Cyrene. IC, the raids are a source of major frustration 'cause my low skill level means I could throw my boots with more damage, and I'm silently cursing you heartless brigands when my eyes melt out of my skull three seconds after entering a room. OOC, you do a great job of striking the balance between the frenetic excitement of a raid, and its duration. You get in, get out, and move on without dragging it out for hours, which is great. As was said above, thanks for staying classy, you fiends.
Nizaris, as Ambassador, has been pretty vocal behind closed doors about support of some, and dismissal of others out of hand. In regards to dismissal, he's always met with the same line, "They'll either improve, be purged involuntarily, or purge themselves." Some that he has been vocal against have made it; others that he's supported have not.
I guess Mhaldor's belief system really lends itself to this ideal: Oppression and Suffering are natural, universal, and transformative. Nizaris is constantly talking about a 'utopia of Evil', and he means it in the context of spreading Evil's dark pall over all of Sapience, and the change that it begets. If the characters truly believe this, then they have to be prepared to open the proverbial gauntlet to be run by anyone who wants to give it a try.
Hell, I heard it said by @Calaurn, even before my tenure as Ambassador, that Mhaldor is perhaps the most welcoming city in Sapience -- we'll welcome anyone who wants to give our lifestyle a try. We'll keep those for whom it mutually works out.
Having been in the often cut-throat world of business and outside sales, I rather liken Mhaldor to being similar to it, or perhaps natural selection.
I had a long post written out about the above, but decided it wasn't really worth it in the end. I talked a bit about this with @Hayte some time ago, and he summed it up pretty well.
Cleric Hayte says in Mhaldorian, "Eh. If they can prove commitment to the Truths, they can come in."
Cleric Hayte says in Mhaldorian, "Just watch them closely after."
Of course, there are obvious exceptions and some of the recent inductees probably should have been made to jump through a few more hoops, but in general that's a good guideline.
Anyway, here's an actual rave to keep on track!
The two halves of the globe split open to reveal a Mayan Crown!

@Mhaldorians, I have nothing against your admission process and ideals in that regard; it is a perfectly fine system and I am not being critical of it at all, so no need to be defensive. However, a pleasant side effect to your open arms policy is that you do draw those that won't cut it in the first place and will invariable be cast out eventually. Like I said, once they are out of Hashan their fate is rather inconsequential because they are not coming beck.
The problem with a Hashan/Ashtan/Cyrene is that laws/freedom/respect tend to get in the way whereas Mhaldor's strict and unilateral, though welcoming, culture and government can effectively weed out and remove undesirables. In cities that respect law and freedom of choice we tend to get stuck tolerating troublemakers and those who drag society down with them because they technically haven't done anything wrong or illegal.
PS I feel like I tend to come across snarkier than I intend and I notice it is usually Mhaldorian players who respond to said perceived snarkiness. It was not intended, was more of a rave that they were out than a dig against Mhaldor. However being a Hashani player, I can understand Mhaldor's sensitivity given their condition recently. It is natural to get defensive over our factions.

We induct everyone, make them work for us for a while, and if they are stupid we cast them out.
