They did an amazing job on the newspaper this time. I especially liked @Sothantos’ shop advertisement. Totally fit his market ads!
Give us -real- shop logs! Not another misinterpretation of features we ask for, turned into something that either doesn't help at all, or doesn't remotely resemble what we wanted to begin with.
Thanks!

Vhaynna: "Honest question - if you don't like Achaea or the current admin, why do you even bother playing?"
This needs to be on posters throughout the entire game, and maybe scattered in my own home town!

Raves to everyone who contributed to the membership update discussion, and also to the admins who listened to all of our suggestions and actually implemented some of them!
I can not stress enough, no matter the small niggles I have that I would love to see addressed over time, the new adventure system is by far, one of the best additions to the game. There are things, obviously, that take a hit (immersion can be hurt, same with the feeling of, "daily grinds"), but I can not stress enough that accessible, timely rewards available to all players, and more poignant tasks to do. I'll wait a month or so to compile small things I would like to see addressed, but realistically, they are minute in comparison.
All behind the scenes should definitely feel great about these changes. Definitely earned a big kudos from me, @Admin
Huge rave to @Jayden for making massive strides in her combat technique and somehow tripling her prior /decade's/ worth of player kills in just a month or so. You're an inspiration and I hope one day I have that snap moment of 'oh, I understand now!' just like you did.
Once in a while, when I get my hands on a pet cache, I try to open for the black kitten but always wind up with something lame like the turkey (god damn turkeys). Today I decided to get a cache with my membership credits and...
Planks of plain timber are assembled into this sturdy crate, with gaps between each slat to allow air flow. On each side, in red letters, are the words: "live animal inside." It weighs about 5 pounds. A crate marked "live animal inside" is holding: "kitten127930" a tiny black kitten It contains a total of 1 items of a max of 0.
Having an awesome time with these adventures and all the group mob hunting, forays, etc. that come with completing them. Many thanks to @Austere and @Thiev for leading the efforts. Good times (and my first day completing 2,000 renown, yay!).
I've been feeling a little overwhelmed in the last few days trying to cobble together some sense of order in an event I've been planning on a larger scale than I've ever attempted before. The problem is that there are so many possible configurations, so many different themes and things like player times and mindset to account for that it's very difficult to make sure it's successful. The more I research, the more gargantuan the task seems and the more I end up procrastinating.
The reason why this is a rave is because I gave up trying to impose any kind of logical flow and just went to explore some regions. The thought put into some places is significant, and the lore I was able to find were all great reads. I enjoyed discovering new bits of information about places I had never cared much about before.
Back in 2017 (I think) there was a poll asking how important the mythos actually is to you. A lot of people said it wasn't really that important in day to day life, which I actually agree with. But if you really take the time to go and read and learn, your experience of the world is just improved so much more. It is Achaea's lore that sets it apart from any other game out there, and I appreciate the effort of everyone who has done their best to work it into new areas and items and questlines, to make it have an impact rather than just being a nice story to read.

I know I'm late to the party and -everyone- can think of one or two ways to make the system better, even with stuff as minor as tiny QoL improvements. HOWEVER, I've been playing Achaea since roundabouts 2008 and the Adventure system getting overhauled to give people daily rewards has been one of the most amazing and beneficial systems I've seen implemented in this game. It doesn't even feel that way to me because of the bound credit rewards- but genuinely because, I don't know how it is for other Cities, it has me out and socialising with people I -never- did anything with before. It spreads camaraderie like a wild fire through the City when someone goes to do such and such and asks if anyone wants to come along, then suddenly, it's a party of like 8 people going out to do shit like kill the Mhunna & co.
You admin people did amazingly. I'm forever the pessimist and can foreshadow some nerfs in the future when people start putting hypothetical numbers into spreadsheets and claiming that 'there are monetary losses from this system!,' but overall right now, I'm in love with it because of how it brings players together. Kudos to you lot.
A group of us were talking about Achaea amidst a variety of things. Perhaps it's sleep deprivation from my normal refusal to behave as an adult, but it hit me. For all the bickering IC and OOC, for all the headache that can come from playing Achaea, there is something great that would never have happened without this text-based game.
I'd never have met you all.
From the time Lii began as a very isolated, timid, terrified of people girl in Mhaldor, to now in Ashtan where she is known for her culinary skills, there have been a myriad of people who have enriched what could otherwise be a dull and droll life. @Proficy, @Aegoth, @Sartan, @Kiet, @Minifie, @Ysela , @Farrah, @Mezghar, @Atalkez, @siduri, @antidas, @Micaelis, @Jiraishin, @Dunn, @Deucalion, @Itkovian, @Seelie, @Magenta, @Penwize, @Aegis, @Pandora, @Babel, @Hirst, @Czanthria (who knew there was another Ice Maiden?), @Eril, @Jinsun, @Rackham, @Jocindi, @Cobault (sadly, I Almost put Blu. Just change your name already!), @Messa (Lii's son and she will fite!), @Gilliam, @Icraa, @...there are so many I want to put here but you know who you are. All of you have helped turn an ordinary, "I can type in a game. Woo. Hoo." into an, "I'm off work! Achaea time! So, who do I get to kill this time?" or an "I'm at work, bored out of my mind...Hm. I should probably work on religion in a fictional world because it is more interesting than keeping my gaze out at nothing while pretending I am completely and fantastically alert at a job that...sometimes makes me want to sleep."
Recently, Targossas got a new blind player, and it honestly warms my heart daily seeing people going out of their way to help her out with city tasks and accommodate her needs. Such a great reminder of the actual quality of this playerbase.
@Reyson is such a blast. I've been in contact with him several times (on several seconds, too!) and he's always a top lad. 10/10 I always try to reach out during combat for some light-hearted banter and such.
Raves to @Rhivona and everyone else who helped me out with some of the clan housing bugs so quickly (not gonna lie, my heart stopped for a second when my entire house library vanished). Thank you for helping me not freak out!

Let it be known that I hate libraries.
I guess you'll be glad to know that Mhaldor's city library is broken, then.

EDIT: and now fixed, very fast. Thank you
Yes, by fixing Jurixe's library I accidentally broke Mhaldor's library, so I repeat: I hate libraries.

That FFA at glebe was honestly amazing. At first it was one city leaping in, then another, and it just turned into an all-out brawl. I couldn't swap targets fast enough

@Nicola, @Makarios, @Sarapis, and @everyone, thanks for creating such a great world that constantly becomes more interesting.
I sense potential for new life breathed into Chaos RP and am very intrigued to what this means for Paux.

Rather chuffed with this!
