@Keorin should be applauded for an amazing opening ceremony and for what she's trying to do with the Seleucarian Games. Cutting your teeth on something this big and involved is no small feat, but I think half the continent showing up to attend is a real show of support. Her speech on Seleucar and where we are today was stirring, and lighting the candles as a vigil-cum-beacon was beautiful. So much accomplished in so little time. I look forward to what she does next.
The Asterian Restoration is pretty. You can catch fireflies in the garden!
Reaching down with a massive hand, Sartan lifts your head and draws a taloned finger across your throat, the wound closing as He does so.
@Crixos and @Thule helped me finally get to Balan'ukia to see the sights, saving me from my wellspring of bitterness. 😁 Hugely grateful for Crixos' assistance. And even tho the area is open pk, Achaea's top murderers did not murder me. Also appreciated, @Farrah and @Penwize.
Was terrified to make my first ever public news post not only because I'm not confident in my writing but also because I'm not confident in my RPing. But I've been working really hard at both and from everyone's reactions it seems like that work may have paid off. Even those that disagreed with me were kind and said I was eloquent and direct and it's just really nice to get a bunch of messages and tells both IC and OOCly that are just nice and supportive and kinda reassured me that it's ok to take big leaps with my character because it didn't end disastrously and embarrassingly. Yet.
Let me know when you are ready to burn the world
The Divine voice of Twilight echoes in your head, "See that it is. I espy a tithe of potential in your mortal soul, Astarod Blackstone. Let us hope that it flourishes and does not falter as so many do."
Aegis, God of War says, "You are dismissed from My demense, Astarod. Go forth and fight well. Bleed fiercely, and climb the purpose you have sought to chase for."
Has been said, but still, major, major props to @Keorin for running the the Seleucarian Games. The amount of coordination and planning she's doing to keep this event moving is insane, and she still finds time to post regular updates about it. Keorin, when was the last time you slept????
I opted for shield pendant armor boots on my mud usage, bracelet was tempting but the pendant really won me over. Preserved Serapis moss in amber, so cool, I used it on my crit pendant. I’m going to have to get some of those nocloak sigils now, sigh.
Can shields be emblazoned? The Nicator imagery is pretty and all but the temptation to personalize is strong.
Trying my best to resist big credit buys for a few months, applying to buy a house irl.
I found the drinking game entertaining, I regret being about 1 million short of having a ship for the single contestant racing event though.
@Kiet hosted our 500th anniversary quiz on Evil with tremendous style. It was very clearly a Jeopardy! rip-off, complete with timers, squares, and silly categories. The answers were great and informative, but I was nearly laughing too hard to compete, between Kiet Trebek and the contestants. Managed to win with some strategy, a Dastardly Double, and Stheno's endless love for the Inferno!

You try coming up with a brand new quiz game format that Achaeans haven't done ICly before!!!!!! It was merely Jeopardy inspired. Didn't even have to answer with questions.
It was a lot of fun though! I loved how many people came to participate/watch and it was fun seeing what answers people struggled with that I figured would be easy or vice-versa. It went way too long though, and I had to be paying attention to the people talking, the scores, editing the scroll, and people's tells all at once so it wore me out pretty hard, lol. Still worth it, next time I'd just trim number of questions.

If its a Jeopardy inspired Mhaldor game show, is the answer always "What is Hail Lord Sartan?"
Mhaldorian Jeopardy was AWESOME. One of the most creative and fun events I’ve seen. Major props to Kiet for organizing it, and Stheno and Jurixe and Taryius for kicking ass with those answers!
I think that was the best, most exciting, and well-matched Twins tournament I've ever seen or run. Huge props to all the players from our heavy hitting top tiers all the way to the last minute groups who filled in spots to make it a proper 16 bracket!
2019/06/08 23:00:47 - Cooper cityfavoured Proficy for: For overcoming the greatest of obstacles, showing his might by defeating two opponents by himself in the Twins Tournament.
We will also be naming a wall "the Warden's Wall".
EDIT: And not just any wall. But can't talk more about that yet...
From not even being sure he'd be here, to somehow managing to show up, set up a team, to earning the line:
Accompanied by Penwize, he dominated the Year 802 Twins Combat Tournament.
Massive rave to @Austere, and to everyone who fought, for what was the most intense and fun Twins tournament I've seen yet.
Some of those fights were legitimately fun to watch, and a lot of those matchups I wasn't sure who would win in. I was not expecting some of the clutch wins we saw, especially @Proficy carrying @Cooper haaaard, and some of those complete turnarounds from @Irimon.
Huge props to the Delos Arena for helping us win our scariest match by dropping us right on top of @Farrah and @Atalkez, I don't actually know how that fight would have gone if you were given time to prep.
Of course, the Garden earns back SOME love for this fantastic Twins tournament, even if I still grumble at you for some other decisions in the games. You shall receive a tentative !
(Edited to add: I also never had to cure heartseed this time, so I'd like to shout out to @Rangor for not being a Sylvan even though HE TOTALLY KNOWS MY ONE TRUE WEAKNESS.)
Everyone I got to fight in the twins, it was my first PK event and I’m glad Crixos was really chill (I was panicking the entire time that I’d super fuck up and I combed over the fights internally screaming at every single mistake/bad song/envenom choice when I used overrides...) Special mention for @Dunn for the BM fight, I had no idea what I was looking out for, except dying. I saw that bit
Crixos is always chill and that's part of what makes him great to play with! Even when he's frustrated or not all that amused he never complains and he's a rave by himself tbh.
Thanks to everyone who came out to participate in or watch the Seleucarian Games Joust Tourney last night. Was a lot of fun and had some great match ups. I hope @Mezghar gave poor little Mudflower some good pats and a rest after all that vigorous charging! Maybe a carrot dangled from the tip of the lance will urge her to greater speeds next time, but she did great.
One of my fears of joining this game was the age of the community. I thought I'd be stepping on toes. I've been really surprised by how welcoming and pro-social everyone is, and I made multiple friends I talk to every day and that's so fun. People are super nice and interactive, the amount of tells I get asking how I'm doing or if I want to go hunting with them is really nice and makes my day. The fact a lot of these people are hundreds of years old or dragons is special too; I realize you guys are often busy (especially with Tide stuff or the games going on) so taking time even just to check on me is not something I take for granted. Some of them aren't from the village too which is also surprising and pleasant.
When I was in Minia I spent a lot of time just reading the News and getting familiar with names showing up. Now actually seeing these people around is super cool. Favourite so far was the Artanis/Cyrene incident.
Everyone is so nice. Not just in the actions but even in wording; I haven't had anyone be rude or dismissive towards me yet and I've felt a part of every conversation I've had with someone. I haven't had a negative interaction yet.
It looks like it'll be a long and difficult trek to climb the ranks of the Scions and become a full member, and I love that. I've been taking my time with tree exploration and really absorbing the forests as I explore each one. They're all incredibly special and I love to devote a whole day to each one. Ending the day by talking to my mentor and friends about which forest I explored that day is warming. Yesterday, I discovered a certain denizen in Forest Watch. Hee hee ahahah oh God why.
Game stuff:
This game has unusual races, and I think it's so fun and interesting to interact with people who play all of them. I had a really hard time deciding. Same thing with the class choices!
I love journals! They're so cool. I really like being able to write notes in-game and, more excitingly, paste letters I get!
Similarly, I love love love scripting. It's so fun to not only be able to in a supported way, but even be allowed to, to any degree. Doing small things like highlighting the word 'shield' is simple but feels so rewarding.
Quests are really hard, but more in a puzzle way than a combative way, and that is so cool. I love to read the descriptions on absolutely everything so I found Bopalopia during my Scions tasks, but I had a really hard time getting out on my own. Hah.
The sheer amount of abilities and the variety of things they do is awesome. I really love swinging up in the trees! When I fell down and broke my arm, that was also awesome! I laughed.
The environmental descriptions are stunning. I just explored Ulangi last night and I really appreciate the details in the environments; I love botany and reading about all the varieties of plant life and how they interact is magical.
The crafting tradeskills are super exciting. I recently got my first jewellery design approved and I was so excited I pasted the acceptance letter in my journal!
In summary: This entire game is magical and I can't wait to keep playing!

It's still early, but I'm loving the feel of Blademaster. The named blade, the unique style - it's great.
On an entirely unrelated note, I'm a huge fan of the bracelet description you get from the handful of glittering mud.
The soul of Ashmond says, "Always with the sniping."
(Clan): Ictinus says, "Stop it Jiraishin, you're making me like you."

Dunn tells you, "I hate you."
(Party): You say, "Bad plan coming right up."
Props to Tary for making Team Holocaust the best team!!
From carrying Cooper around.
Was a ton of fun though. Me and Sophi were a makeshift team and we did okay (tm)

Between the xp event and twins the past 2 days have been so much fun.
