I've thought about getting a crit pendant for years, but the % chance was always so small that I didn't think they were worth it. Like many of you, I ended up with a fire pendant this promotion. Which is only a mere 2% chance increase. That's tiny, right? Well, that's what I thought up until I went bashing for the first time after getting it.
Sheesh, the difference that little 2% makes is mind-blowing. I'm plowing through everything like it's nothing. As a monk, too! This is officially my favorite artie.
Thanks, @Amaru, for jumping through hoops to negotiate the trade for me.
Give us -real- shop logs! Not another misinterpretation of features we ask for, turned into something that either doesn't help at all, or doesn't remotely resemble what we wanted to begin with.
Thanks!
Current position of some of the playerbase, instead of expressing a desire to fix problems:
Vhaynna: "Honest question - if you don't like Achaea or the current admin, why do you even bother playing?"
Today is the Taryius' 1 year anniversary. (I think, might be a few days off)
That is 365 days of Achaea and oh boy have I been loving it.
Over the span of one trip around the sun, Taryius managed to slay 947 adventurers. A good chunk of them fellow Mhaldorians too! That is about 1 kill every 8 hours for the past year! But he failed to hit 1000 in time
While not the best hunter, Taryius also managed to slay 25570 denizens, an average of one every 20 minutes! And because of this managed to hit level 99 and earn dragon six months into his existance, and he spent a hella lot of time in dragonform. (tends to happen when you didn't even have transcendent class skills).
While he might be a fan of bloodshed, those aren't the only things he has been doing! From HoN, to HL to Ascendent he has been with the Dread Legates for this entire year! And served as a slave of Evil for only 3 months before he cast away those typical Mhaldorian shackles as a reward from big ol' Sartan.
Overall its been so much fun, and I hope that continues into the future! Raves to everyone, from amazing allies and citymates, to the great enemies from opposing factions, and the staff and admin that maintain achaea for all of us to enjoy!
I'm at around 14 months into Achaea, and while my adventurer kills pale in comparison (566), my denizen kills at 126924 is both exhilarating and alarming at the same time.

Erm. I'm 14yrs in and have less kills than you
Erm, in 14 years I have less than you!
Tharos, the Announcer of Delos shouts, "It's near the end of the egghunt and I still haven't figured out how to pronounce Clean-dat-hoo."
Rave to @Alrena for her ingenuity and creativity in making this event take a turn for the unexpected! You are a gem, and we're so happy to have you in Mhaldor! @Sartan you continue to be one of the best Admin I've ever had the pleasure to interact with in my 15 years of playing IRE. Your constant attention to detail breathes enthusiasm into the game, and your tireless effort to not just be an Admin, but a PART of Mhaldor make playing here exciting, challenging, and extremely fun! Raves to Mhaldor for being so invested and interested in deviating from the status quo, and pushing hard to make new things a reality! It's great to play in such a refreshingly enthusiastic city!
Wanting to rave not only for all the incredible work that has been put into this event and releases but also the denizen interactions, specially the ones with Uacyll and Asahana, whoever humoured me and animated them when Shirsz was trying to find a way to make amends with Water and spoke to them is definitely awesome
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
I want to rave for the team who put all this together. I can't name too many names, but we started on this in May, and it's been a crazy 8 months of deadlines and constant work. From the Mortal Builders, to the crew in the Garden, to the Elemental Lord testers, to @Makarios and @Ictinus who've both worked more 100+ hour weeks this year than they ever should have had to, thank you all, we couldn't have done it without you.
i am just now exploring the new planes and I am loving the flavor of Radak's Hold and Alcazar. Alcazar reminds me of the Dragon Palace in a story called Ursashima Taro.
Something this event's seem to have done nicely is that, with the planes/factions not being city-locked or anything like that, it's opened up an avenue to chat with other players who you might not have had any real reason to talk to in the first place. Have spoken to both Ashtan and Mhaldorians today, poking around with Air Plane stuff.
To add to the above: Thanks @Zulah and @Penwize for the immense help so far, been a while since I've actually sat down to figure quests out. It's painful how obvious some of the syntax are for the quests, yet make you wanna slam your head into a wall at the same time.
Also getting to fight alongside Zulah and Klendathu were fun, removing filthy foreigners from the Coterie! Sorry if it wasn't particularly fun for you @Mathilda / @Vender, but thanks for being good sports and not being dicks. Sorry about MVP Siarde unphasing you right into us.
stupid me kept trying to get into the air plane to kill elementals for my reputation grind when i could have been doing it at the tree. nonetheless even though i took heavy losses the elemental warfare was a nice break from being a peasant
Hahah. @Dunn earlier said it was a place very fitting for a Cyrenian, too I really enjoy the odd groupings, though. Mhaldorian+Cyrenain+Eleusian+Hashani defending the Alcazar.
And of course, the Guards
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
Repeating major raves to our coders who have been immensely great at fixing things we break as we relentlessly test the frequency of Murphy's Law! @Ictinus@Makarios@/rest
