I have soundfiles that tell me when I'm appraised, pickpocketed, sent a tell, given an item, lost an item, prism in my room, my name is mentioned, or a slew of other things (mostly just when I'm tabbed out). Its super helpful, especially when I tab out and forget Mudlet is open >.>
Triggered this to play when I login. Feels good man.
Can you send me the info so I can hear this on login too? I need this in my life.
Ok, this is just an easy trigger and a .wav file you need. File is here. Put this in a new folder called 'sound' in your Mudlet folder (which, ideally, should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Mudlet\sound\ -- change the trigger if you have a different directory,) then make this trigger:
Note that Mudlet 3.0.0 doesn't come with the right .dll files required to play sound. If that's the case, download this .zip file and extract it to your base Mudlet directory. It's nothing that can hurt you -- just a couple of folders with .dll files that Mudlet needs in order to use the playSoundFile() function.
You can use playSoundFile() to make any sound play as part of a script (i.e. a trigger, alias, or keybind.) Just point it to a .wav file. Sounds are great for helping you quickly recognize things that would otherwise require big blocks of shiny text, like instakills or other critical attacks, but I took a step further and triggered almost everything to play a sound, based on sound files I ripped from games like Ultima Online and City of Heroes that I own. It really improves the atmosphere for me, and helps me get a better sense of what's going on.
And then all the people that keep checking up on me and reminding me to sleep because sometimes I forget that I don't have to be present for every single aspect of this event while taking a leading role in an organization, thank all of you as well.
@Aegis has been the bomb for sure. And this "Thrusts into the world stage" thing reminds me of waking up from dormancy at the start of the Underworld War. And in fact, Aegis was the only sort of leader that seemed to acknowledge my efforts there (including the lack of sleep), so yes I am extremely grateful for his involvement. I haven't experienced it from a Divine on this level for a long, long time, whilst I have been butting my head up against a wall trying to get into the order of a dormant God. It makes RP so compelling, I reckon.
Rave for @Caelan and @Datrius and the person who plays the war priest Akrile. Having a lot if fun in this event and learning a lot. The rp is great. So is the comraderie. Preorder if Lord @Aegis rocks.
I'll blow the trumpet for @Aegis , Akrile, and all the recruits in the PreOrder as well. @Datrius was supposed to just get his Tribunal (mortal interview) and then the event happened. Akrile let me make leading Day 1 efforts his Tribunal and he has stepped up in a major way and is still taking charge 4 days in. Great to see his character develop and develop his own leadership style. @Gamoneterik, aside from having a name I constantly misspell, has stepped up a lot too - going between leading and following (and learning how to follow). @Sholen as well. Just... what a great bunch of players in the Pre Order. Makes me glad I came back when I did. Really, even if Aegis didn't "wake up" when He did, just this group would have made the return worth it.
Also @Patroklos for helping me out with some dumb-dumb coding, and Datrius again for letting me spend hours sometimes, just hitting him and trying to figure things out offensively

It isn't anything huge but I wanted to give a shoutout to @Aerek for being one of the most patient teachers ever. Helping me learn Blademaster so that I could actually have the confidence to duel and go out and fight. Having Emilea be able to win duels, or take deaths and know I could rematch them with a bit more knowhow of what I can do, just can't thank him enough! All the hearts to Aerek and he's entirely why I got my first solo kill(s) against Bleak after he sniped out poor Lylith.
On a seperate note from combat, shoutouts to @Armali@Regi@Remmiel@Karren for my friends in Hashan. You guys are great, and should continue being great. I'll miss you guys lots. </3
And the suicide squad this far (literally about 24 hours or so) in Ashtan have been a great host to us (Lylith, Vender, and I) and they've been a blast. Even though I think I died roughly about 10 or 11 times yesterday, I had an absolute blast.
Good vibes, everyone!
You have recovered balance on all limbs.
You are not fallen or kneeling.
With a snarl of contempt, you allow Bleak to slide free of your weapon.
With a sibilant 'shhhiiiinnngggt!', you smoothly sheathe Heavenly Arrow.
Summoning all of your emotions, you forge them into your blade, becoming one with your sword.
Heavenly Arrow guides your hand as you circle Bleak in an instant, carving through his weakened body
with the four fatal cuts that form the broken star. Returning Heavenly Arrow to its sheath, barely a
drop of blood upon the blade, you watch on as Bleak's body falls in pieces to the ground.
You have slain Bleak.
[SLAIN] Bleak
Your triumph suffuses you with a great rush of experience.
A starburst tattoo flares and bathes Bleak in red light.
You have recovered balance on all limbs.
With a snarl of contempt, you allow Bleak to slide free of your weapon.
You point Heavenly Arrow at Bleak.
You say with a stiff, Kamleikan accent, "Judgement comes."

This game is officially awesome. I just noticed a letter someone must've sent me earlier.
Dear young adventurer,
I found these as I was walking past Ophidian warriors' cavern recently and it seems they belong to you. You should be more careful with what you're holding! If you die or quit with certain things simply held in your hands (such as herbs or gold), you may drop them. You should always INRIFT your herbs and commodities and store gold in a pack. Once you reach level 31 or higher, people such as I will not return anything you drop when you die or leave the realms. They will be lost to you forever, so be careful from now on!
@Antonius Not at home at the moment, and I've spent such a little amount of time on Metro is that I'm not particularly familiar with the continent. Are any of those exits remotely close to the ferry location? The massive distance you have to travel in and out of wilderness to get back(if you don't have serp, wormhole-hole, or pebble) is a pretty effective deterrent against exploring the area as much as I would be otherwise interested in doing. A full rift of health lasts a surprisingly short amount of time when you're bashing tough stuff.
this event turned out really cool, I don't think anyone really expected 90% of us to band together. "The Nihilists" going against the "Coordination" is awesome and really shows the dynamic and drastic turns this environment offers. It's a lot of fun to be a Mhaldorian soldier doing guard duty for splinter collecters working alongside people like Antidas Bleak Atalkez Regi who I normally reflexively target as soon as I enter a room with them. and props to Jhui, Hirst, and Dunn if anyone could go against the world and actually hold their own you guys could do it. Props to Big Mak for rockin' this one

I sure hope after the bullshit that @Proficy, @Aegoth, and @Cooper pulled you're still willing to party hard. There's murderin' to be done, son!

You like it and you know it!
The little I've actually gotten to deal with them has been great and reviewing org logs and seeing their names pop up repeatedly is a pleasure.
